Chapter 2: Alpha's Office

{Whyette PVO}

I cannot believe Alpha Ethan to ask this of me.

To agree to have my daughter marry his son and be his Luna to the Silver Star Pack.

"Matt call Alpha Ethan to the office that we can discuss matters."

It wasn't long before Alpha Ethan was in my office.

"Look Ethan. My children are to choose who the moon goddess decides is their mate. Ashleigh is only sixteen now and is getting her wolf tonight at midnight when the moon is at its fullest. It is still another two years before she would be able to find her mate. I unfortunately do not agree to your terms."

"Alpha Whyette, you have just made an enemy out of me. In three days be prepared for war."

"Alpha Ethan, is there no way to see around this? If your son is Ashleigh's mate then so be it. But, if not I cannot force her to do something she does not want to do."

"No! This was the only agreement I was willing to take for peace between our Packs. Meet you in three days on the battle field."

He stormed out of my office slamming the door behind him.

"Matt call in Sam."

"Yes Alpha."

"You called Alpha?"

"Yes Sam, I did. We have to prepare for battle in three days. Get our best warriors. Please don't let my daughter know anything of what is going on."

"Yes Alpha."

"You both may leave my office."

I watched as they closed the door quietly.

I find it very odd that Mathew did not say anything during the meeting with Alpha Ethan.

I think I better trust Sam with all the conferdental information.

I was busy with my paperwork on the desk when my Luna walked in.

"My Alpha."

"You know that drives me crazy when you say that my love."

"Oh yes, I do."

She smiled a little and looked at me with the worried look upon my face.

She came and sat on my lap.

"Now, tell me. What is bothering my Alpha?"

"Alpha Ethan. He wanted an arranaged marraige between Ashleigh and his son to keep being a friend."

"I sure hope you refused him."

"I did my love, but he has declared war against our Pack and we are to meet in three days on the battle field. I want you to stay here. Protect our princess. If anything happens to me at least I know you are here for her."

"Of course my love. You don't even need to command me. I love her. I maybe hard on her at times but it is only for her good. Anyway she has a father that spoils her with effection I have to be the tough one."

I started to laugh a bit.

"Yes dear, indeed you do."

Well lets get some supper and get ready for our daughter's first run.

I put the paperwork down on the desk and locked the office as we left to go downstairs.

I am done just being the Beta of this Pack.

I want to be the Alpha and the only way I can do that is to get rid of Whyette as well as his Luna Gwen.

"We will discuss this when I get back Alpha Ethan. You two are you waiting for an invatation? Get to the car now!"

Ah, this could be my oppertunity.

"Alpha Ethan, do you mind if we talk."

"Yes Beta Mathew, not at all."

"Lets take this to my office shell we."

We walked to my office and I closed and locked the door.

No way was I going to let that Gamma Sam know what I am planning.

"Look, if I know Alpha Whyette well he is going to refuse your offer. But, I have a counter offer. If you help me become Alpha of the Moon Star Pack I will ensure you that Ashleigh will marry your son."

"Mm, Beta Mathew that is an interesting offer. I accept it. I will have them all on the battle field in three days and he is likely to leave his Luna here. Would you be able to kill her?"

"Yes, I will be able to kill her. The gamma always goes with to the battle and the Beta stays to over see the pack."

"Very well Mathew, you have yourself a deal."

We shock hands and he walked out of the office.

Now to ensure that no one finds out about my plan to take over this Pack.

It wasn't long Gamma Sam appeared at the door of my office.

"Why was Alpha Ethan in your office Matt?

"I was trying to reason with him but, he will only speak with Whyette. I was hoping he would change his mind and understand we take the moon goddess very seriously in our pack and believe in our fated mates."

"Ah, so it wasn't successful."

Oh it was successful for my plan but not for yours.

"Yes Sam, it wasn't successful."

"I am going to get some more cake. Do you want to join?"

"Not now Sam, I have a lot of paperwork to catch up on and you know how Whyette is when we are behind with affairs regards to this Pack."

"No worries. Chat later then."

Man does that man ever shut up.

It is so hard pretending to like the man.

I only did it for Whyette's sake.

When I am Alpha he will be in a cell in the basement.

I hear the Jeep return and hear Whyette calling me to come to his office.

"Matt, please go get Alpha Ethan to my office please."

"Yes Alpha."

I just stood there during there converstation.

I did not say a word.

"Matt, go get Sam for me please."

Oh great.

Sammie Sam his so called best warrior.

"Hey Sam, Alpha is looking for you in his office."

"Yes Alpha, you are looking for me?"

"Sam, prepare the warriors in three days time we face The Silver Star Pack. We declined Ethan's proposal."

"Yes Alpha."

I left the office just after Sam did.

As I got to my office Alpha Ethan was there with his Beta.

"Here is the plan Matt. You better close and lock that door."

Well now they accepted my proposal and I will soon be Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack.
