Twins..

"My king.. the dukes are here, they want to get in"

King Elias turned to Reynold and command "Do not let anyone in!! understand?!!"

"Yes my king!!!" Reynold bow and left the chamber.

Things were getting out of control, with the dukes right outside of the queen's quarters, means that everyone's talking about what was going on in the queen's head quarters, and if this keep going then, everything will be ruined .. and he can't allow that to happen.

Just for how long will this take?!

Just when he was about to explode in frustration, the midwife came in and said.. as she was in utter pain.. "Your magesty..."

she fell to the ground and cried her lungs out as she begged for forgiveness... "Please .. forgive me your magesty"

she cried out loud as she didn't dare raise her face to look him in the eyes.

King Elias heart pounded in fear. his yes were starting to get filled with unshed tears and as calm as he could, he asked.. "What happened?"

The midwife cried even more before she answered.. "Her highness.."

hearing his queen's name, his heart pounded, fear taking over his soul fearing something might have happened to his beloved queen whole she was in labor..

"Tell me now!!" he commanded, his voice roaring in her ears, and she finally had the wits to answer him.. "Her highness .. gave birth to twins..."

she said as she cried... and for some reason, king Elias, who didn't know that he was holding his breath all this while, finally letting out hearing his twins were okay... But wait..

"And the queen?"

"She's well your magesty, she just... passed out as soon as she gave birth, but she'll be fine once she wakes up tomorrow morning"

she said as she faced down.."Good"

he said to her, he then asked another question.." The twins... are they.... okay? "

" Yes your magesty.. but"

" You may leave"

the midwife cried as she stood up. she bowed one last time to him and finally left the chamber.

the king fell to the floor as soon as he heard both his children and his queen is safe.. tears streamed down his eyes as he felt a slight relief in his chest.. but only too soon, did reality stroke him hard.

Reynold came back. seeing the king on the floor, he got shocked and ran to him " My king!!! " he yelled as he went to help him up.. "What happened? are you alright my king?!" he asked as he helped him up..

"Am alright... but.. my children."

as soon as the king said that, Reynold understood everything. he now understood why the king fell to the floor. it would've been better if one of the twins died and the other survived, at least, the other would get buried quietly to save the other. but now, not even that was possible, as both were successfully delivered to the world... now, they all must die... for the kingdom's well being.

understanding the whole situation, Reynold asked the king.

"My king, You know the rules of our kingdom, if the elders and the dukes find out about this, the twins will be killed. We have to do something to save them before anything happens to them"

Reynold told the king, his heart pounding, as he listened to what the king had to say about this matter.

the king didn't know what to do...all the options that came in his mind,solved nothing of their problems. and even though, he was the king,there was no way he would change the rules just like that for his own sake.

so many kids have been killed because of their own stupidity, saving his while getting the other killed.. didn't sound right, and he knew right away what would happen if he changed his mind concerning the whole matter....

Chaos..only chaos would happen to his beloved peaceful kingdom and his home in the castle. but deep inside he knew what to do.this was a hard decision to make, but he had to do it, in order to save his children, he had to...as he had no other choice.

" How's the queen? " he asked reynold.

" The queen is still unconscious my king" Reynold answered him.

" since she gave birth to them? "

"Yes my king"

The king sigh. He stood from his seat and went to the queen's chambers.

Reynold followed behind him. When he entered inside, he closed the doors and looked at his sleeping queen.

His heart breaking in million pieces as he saw his two princes laying beside the queen . One asleep, the other awake.

King Ileus took the one awake in his arms and looked at his beautiful blue eyes...he was the eldest after all, and it pained him for what this big brother had to do inorder to save them both.

He kissed the child's forehead with tears streaming out of his eyes before he hugged the child tightly. the child didn't make a sound as he was hugged tightly by his father, as if it's knew what was coming ahead.

Reynold was right there when all this happened. He then looked at his sleeping queen and said to her.. "Am sorry... My queen"

He kissed her forehead before he stood up. He turned to Reynold and went to him.

"Reynold, take him... take him Somewhere safe. Where he can never be found and know nothing about this wrenched kingdom. Protect him and let him live"

He put forward his arms to Reynold and Reynold took the child in the king's arm with his head bowed down to him.

He raised and promised the king " I'll protect him with my life my King.." he said with a bow to him. And the king nodded at him. He sigh and kissed his prince one last time as remnants of tears fell, he rose up before he nod at him.

And Reynold left the queen's chambers.. ready to take the child away from the castle.

Another man entered inside, he slightly bowed to the king as the king stared at his sleeping wife, before he commanded.. "Kill everyone who knows about the twins"

The Man bowed to the king and left the room.. ready to eliminate everyone who knew about them.
