Chapter IV

Nynphela and Deselb weren't going to come out victorious so easily. The skeleton appeared right in-front of Nynphela, ready to finish her. Deselb grabs what was left of the door and slams it against the skeleton. The skeleton kicks the door, making Deselb fly away and push Nynphela to the ground, landing on her head against the ground. Deselb tries to get up and rush to his wife as fast as he could but was still not fast enough. She gave him a smile, and mouthing "I love you" with a tear falling from her eye.

The neighbors outside their homes were shocked by what they were witnessing because they know how strong Nynphela and Deselb are, so their struggle was unexpected. They were known to strike down creatures of rank E and C, making them the strongest pair in the community.

Unexpectedly, the boy woke up and looked at the state of his parents in great fear. He shouts, pleading to the skeleton to stop. The skeleton looked at the boy and used his ability to move fast right in-front of the boy. The boy looked at the skeleton thinking he was about to die. When suddenly, the skeleton kneeled before the boy.

Everyone nearby watching just stood there in shock. The skeleton gets up and just stand there guarding the boy. Deselb rushed to help his wife get up and makes sure she didn't sustain any major injuries. Nynphela and Deselb look at their son wondering if that's his skill or ability. When a blue butterfly passes in-front of the boy and the skeleton splits it in half as if it were protecting the kid from the dirty touch of the butterfly. The boy looks at the skeleton dumbfounded and yells him not to harm innocent creatures ever again. His parents tried to approach him, and the skeleton stood in fighting position ready to attack them. Once the boy saw him acting hostile towards them, he once again started reprimanding the skeleton. Telling him he should protect them or anyone in need. The skeleton seemed to understand everything he was being told since he was obedience to the boy's command.

Nynphela approached the boy to hug him and see if her baby boy was fine. The skeleton just stood there looking at the female dark elf exasperated. Suddenly, a beast man shouts that the royal squadron station in that part of the country were approaching. The squadron had about 190 soldiers, all level 15 to 20. For humans, those are high level since humans could use magic or train to have any fighting classes. It's not like the other races which could only rely on one. Deselb is level 26 and Nynphela is level 23. Since Nynphela is a dark elf, her connection to magic is stronger which makes her stronger than her husband despite her level being lower than his. A dark elf's connection to magic is stronger than most human or creatures which also meant that a dark elf's physical strength is a bit greater as well.

Apart from their race, the reason why both were so strong wasn't because they were talented individuals, it was because of the collars they were enslaved with. If an individual with a greater magika capacity were to wear the enslavement collar since birth, conjointly staying alive and training, their strength would surpass their level. Although they didn't have the collars since birth, they trained hard. Nynphela and Deselb had developed and trained every time they could, so they could protect their child. Since they lived on the outskirts of the country and were prone to getting attack by wild creatures or beasts. In the processes not understanding how strong they actually were. Even while wearing the collars which made them weaker.

However, without the enslavement collars, they are now both twice as strong and fast, all their abilities were boosted greatly. Nyphela's magika capacity grew greatly over the years, as well as her connection with one of her skills, a skill she didn't know she had. She had a skill that allowed her to move in the shadows [shadow movement]. The skill would only work at night yet thanks to the removal of her collar, her skill had evolved, now she could use it freely no matter the time. Her skill also evolved to [Mother of night], she was able to summon shadow beasts to scout and fight for her, plus, any night beast wouldn't harm her and follow her commands only if she had a greater level than the beast.

On the other hand, Deselb wasn't so great with magic, yet his magika capacity also grew. Before he had a fighting skill [Ramp it], which boosted his strength greatly. If he had a powerful shield, he would be the perfect tank. However, his skill had evolved now without the collar to [Berserker], now normal weapons couldn't hurt him or even leave a scratch. In addition, his physical attributes, speed and agility had improved greatly. He basically became a force of nature. If both Nynphela and Deselb were to go against the deceased puppet king centuries ago, he could've certainly perish since he believed to be above all others. His arrogance would've been his doom.

Now with their new strength and skills evolved, they could put up a show. However, they had to be careful not to encounter the Great Dynasty. They were a group of individuals who were all from level 30 to 40. The Great Dynasty had the most powerful individuals from the realm. They're a total of 16 individuals that range from either mage, swordsman, assassins, summoners, or a mix of two different classes. The one most likely to come and investigate the wave of aura is one of the best summoners in existence, Oxenat. Thanks to the great power, most nations never dare to attack us, since he can summon a horde of monsters from rank E to C to do his bidding. Sometimes he could even summon monsters of rank D which are known to take whole kingdoms down. The Great Dynasty weren't meant to be messed with. Although they weren't at the level of the deceased king Sulax, level 65, they could all take down Nynphela and Deselb. The parents had to be careful with how they are about to use their newfound freedom.

The soldiers were approaching the group of demi-humans, they looked down upon them and gave disgusted looks. All the demi-humans were gathered in a circular group, looking at the soldiers to keep an eye on them. Suddenly, the general approached them noticing something peculiar. He could see the neck of all of the demi-humans or creatures, he noticed they had managed to get rid of their enslavement collars somehow. He had a sadistic look on his face, making everyone's spines shiver in fright.

"Now, now, you demons were able to get rid of the wonderful gift bestowed to you. I'm guessing you know what happens next." The general shout with content.

"No, my lord it's a misunderstanding! They broke by the shock of aura! We swear! Please forgive us! Please my lord please! Spare our lives please" All the demi-humans said with a begging tone

"No excuses, now you'll all die! Kill them all!" the general shouted.

The soldiers started getting down from their horses with their weapons. The half elf standing with his family a few feet away from the group of demi-humans begged for mercy for his family. Deselb tighten his fist in rage preparing himself mentally for what he was about to do when he felt a pair of small trembling hands. The boy had tears in his eyes from the words of the general, scared he could lose his loving family in this new life of his. As much as Deselb wanted to fight, he couldn't bear to leave his child like this. Nynphela looks at her husband with a wary look as if saying they should escape now that they can.

Suddenly, back on the field, a little demi-human girl screams in horror by seeing how a soldier stabs her father with a sword. The cries of young Myrtle reach the attention of the scared boy. Deselb carries the young boy, getting ready to flee from the field. The boy seeing the gruesome sight of death for the first time, tries to make his father put him down in this futile event. In a trice, a skeleton appears in front of the god-like man obstructing his way, Deselb surprised by the reappearance of the skeleton once again before him. The skeleton looks at him and nods to the boy, signaling to put him down or there will be a second battle between them.

When Deselb was about to active his skill, the skeleton emits a strong shock of aura, making Deselb freeze in place with a fear he had never felt before. Deselb not giving in, the skeleton summons a long and black scythe, that seems to be made of the same material as the daggers. Since Deselb knew the skeleton was here to protect the boy he decides to put him down but before that, he told the boy not to move from where he stood because Deselb was about to join the battle. However, the skeleton had other sinister plans. All he wanted was to be able to serve his master and show off his skills. Before Deselb could even tell his son to stay with the summoned skeleton, the skeleton had launched into the middle of the battle. Striking the ground with the bottom of the scythe, killing all the vegetation surrounding them. The once green plane surrounding them had turned into a death field. Everyone appalled by the sudden appearance of the skeleton in the middle of the field. The soldiers seeing a simple skeleton and underestimating his power, one of the soldiers a few feet away from the skeleton, was about to continue his killing spree. The one naïve and stupid individual turns back to his prey, looking at it with a never-ending thirst for fresh blood.

"Please, no, don't hurt her please! No! Someone please! Save her!" A voice in the background shouted with desperation.
