[A/N: Last dungeon chapter!]
[A/N: Future Author here, on the current chapter I am writing the MC's trial ends, also I won't claim to be well versed in Yautja culture and the lore of AVP, so if you notice any errors please join my discord and inform me! After reading through absolutely everything I could with the new Status Examination I bought, I found that Nature's Supplement, Second Wind, and Observation Haki were much better than I thought.
Nature's Supplement would essentially give me another way to survive in harsh conditions with it being able to turn my Mana into the proper nutrients I need to survive, It would also provide me weak healing in case I was injured, possibly saving my life in the future.
Second Wind would essentially be a second life so long as I was not instantly killed.
And Observation Haki could do much more than I at first thought if the description is anything to go by.
And while I took the time to read and examine each of my skills, the Ly'hmie found all of the remaining Lizardman camps.
From the Ly'hmie's scouting, I found that there was one more Blue Lizardman Camp, Two more Green Lizardman Camps, Two Red Lizardman Camps, One White Lizardman Camp, and One Black Lizardman Camp.
I don't know why the White and Black Lizardman Camps only had one in number, but It mattered none to me.
With the Ly'hmie as my scout and guide, it lured me to the next Blue Lizardman camp, which I easily wiped out like the camp before it.
I gathered their scales and checked their loot, only to be disappointed and move on to the next set of camps.
When dealing with the Green Lizardman Camps, I limited myself to solely using Mana Bolts and my Spear in order to raise their level up to my other combat skills.
I then proceeded to do this with each camp one by one until only the White and Black Lizardman camp remained, raising their levels to 19 and 12, respectively, I also leveled up to level 6, and Meditation rose in two levels to level 8, which was great, but decided to save on using my free stat points for now until I had a decent number of them or required them since at the current strength of the Dungeon Monsters, I am in no danger.
Once I recuperated with Meditation, I started heading to the White Lizardman Camp, finding that they only had five in number.
Grabbing a pebble and handing it to the Ly'hmie, I instructed it to fly to the other side of the camp and drop the stone to the ground to distract the Lizardmen.
Upon seeing the Lizardmen get distracted by the sound of the pebble hitting the floor, I attacked.
By the time they noticed me, my spear had already gone through the chest of one of the lizardmen and out the other side, and then another lizardman collapsed from a strike to the head with a Mana Bolt, instantly killing it before it could react.
When they began charging at me, I then had the Ly'hmie strike, impaling its talons as deep as possible into the head of the farthest Lizardmen away from me, causing it to roar in pain and swing its club at the Undead Bird, but it just ended up missing as the Undead pulled its talons away, leaving the grievous wounds of the Lizardmen to begin spurting out large quantities of blood.
Although the Ly'hmie's talons did not pierce the Lizardman's skull, it did manage to spread its necrotic effect from its Rotten Talons skill to cause even further damage to its head within a short time.
That Lizardmen and the Ly'hmie continued to fight each other while I took out the rest of the Lizardmen that were still focused on me.
When I finished up and saw that the Ly'hmie and Lizardmen were still fighting, I decided to let them duke it out in hopes of letting the Ly'hmie level up.
Although the Ly'hmie had little to no chance of winning a head-on battle against the Lizardmen, I wanted it to gain experience in fighting stronger foes so that it would improve itself and perhaps learn how to take on animals or creatures much larger than it.
But, with its current instinctual fighting style, I doubt that it would learn to improve in a short time. So, just as the Ly'hmie was about to be defeated and killed by the Lizardman, I struck the Lizardman in the back with a Mana Bolt, allowing the Ly'hmie to swoop in and slit the Lizardman's through, killing it.
[Congratulations! One of your undead has leveled up to level 2!]
Feeling happy that it managed to level up from the fight, I gathered the scales of its opponent and had it land on my shoulder.
An hour later and the remaining Lizardmen defeated, I walked to the end of the dungeon.
Once we reached the portal, I laid my hand on the portal and claimed my floor clearance rewards.
[Congratulations! You have obtained: Book of the Art of Engraving by Elena Yurtz, Trait: Magical Perception, and a Sewing Needle]
A book? Magical Perception? And...really? A Sewing needle.
I swear these rewards are so random at times.
Questioning whether I should continue my Dungeon Delving or return to my shack, I eventually decided to focus on my trial.
I realized that I had been spending too much time in the dungeon and not paying enough attention to my trial and the outside world.
While I did decide that I would enter the Dungeon and clear a floor every once in a while, I wanted to focus on leveling my skills and making sure that my camp was secure and not found by any more Na'vi.
I had another reason for delaying my dungeon delving, and I wanted to focus my hunting on the obviously stronger creatures of the forests surrounding my home.
Plus, I wanted to see if I could find some materials to make me some basic armor from the scales I gathered from the Lizardmen.
I also wanted to see if I could find some raw iron and use it for smelting some new tools that would greatly help me in this trial.
So much to do, yet feels like I have so little time.
I hope you enjoy and if you have any ideas, suggestions, and thought, feel free to comment!
