Chapter 6- Is it a date?

It has been two weeks since the organization gave me that absurd quest and what's worse is that I haven't even made much progress in our relationship. After I got the quest I also tried to ask if the organization made a mistake while giving out the quests because anyone can tell it's almost impossible to finish the quest but to my disappointment, they said that in their side there was no mistake like that and I received the right quest.

In the past two weeks, my living conditions got a bit better because since I had some money now I was able to eat proper meals every day and now I was left with 1200 Zils.

It's Friday today and it was about to be 3:00 PM in an hour which was the time when the university ended and I had pretty much nothing to do so I thought I should just try to go to Ann and spend some time with her so I decided to initiate a conversation with her which was pretty easy because she always sat next to me and whenever I asked her why she always sat next to me and how it was possible for us both to have chosen the exact same courses. In return, she would just say that it was a total coincidence to choose for the same courses just like the one when we both met in the same university and for why she sits next to me, she just always say the same thing that she doesn't find anyone good enough in this university to become friends with because all the boys always have lust and greed whenever they talk to her which totally grosses her out and as for the girls none of them wants to talk to her and always keep some distance with her due to jealousy.

As I was going to open my mouth to talk she suddenly turned towards me and asked me "Kyle are you free tomorrow?".

I felt a bit startled by the sudden movement but it was almost unnoticeable. "Umm no. Why, do you need something?" I asked her confusedly because this was the first time she asked me something like this.

"As expected of you. Well, Meet me in front of the Royal Compass Bakery in the city center at 2 in the afternoon." She said to me mockingly.

"What do you mean by as expected and could you tell me why exactly would you want to call me out and ruin my calm weekend?" I said in an irritated tone. However, this is only what I did outwardly and inwardly I couldn't be any happier because this was like a heaven-sent opportunity or when a beggar receives a hot meal and a warm blanket in the middle of a cold night.

In response, Ann just coldly snorted and said: "Look at your ugly mouth, can't you just quietly listen to me and not ask all these useless questions?"

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes. "I still remember how kind you were used to when we met for the first time and look at you now. I bet if there were demons in this world you might not even lose to them in the manner you speak to me." I said teasingly while hiding mine on top of the world excitement.

In response, she just smiled at me and trust me this smile is not a sweet smile which I was used to see in the beginning, this time the smile looked like a smile which a demon would give to its prey which was on its last moment of life. The smile made me realize that I might have teased her too much this time.

"Haha, Ann no need to look at me like that," I said while bitterly smiling and wiping off the cold sweat from my forehead. "I was just joking, trust me."

"Hehe, look at how scared you look like when I didn't even say anything" she said while chuckling.

'Your demonic smirk was enough to scare me shitless. I wonder if you took any actions in your demonic form' is what I thought and did not dare to say it out loud because if I did god know what would happen to me.

The next afternoon, Kyle arrived 15 minutes before the appointed time at the appointed place however he couldn't see any trace of Ann over there.

'Well it's fine since I arrived before the appointed the time, I guess I have no choice but to wait for her.' Kyle thought but the main problem was that it was already quarter to 2 which was the sunniest time and the heat was killing him.

'I have already been here for twenty minutes here and the time appointed has already passed, I wonder if she will really come or not. I guess she was just playing around with me because what reason did she have to suddenly call me out this weekend.' I thought to myself and was about to gloomily turn around to go back when a black Mercedes S class came to halt in front of me. I tried to look who it was inside the car but couldn't because the windows in the car were pitch black.

After 10 seconds a familiar yet unfamiliar looking leg came out of the car as the door opened. Right after that a girl who looked so beautiful that almost everyone looked at her who was around, came out of the car. The girl was wearing a white t-shirt and a yellow skirt which was neither too short nor too long. Yes, the girl was none other than Ann.

After telling something to the driver she came to me and said "Let's go?" while smiling.
