Chapter 5 - New Quest

After Ed left us alone, I and Ann went out to look for a restaurant because I don't think she would be willing to eat at those kinds of low-end restaurants which I usually eat at.

"Do you have any preferences of what you want to eat or something, so I could take you to a restaurant which specializes in those kinds of dishes?" I asked her after we got out of the university gates.

"I guess, I would go for seafood today and I also remember hearing that Zercen is really famous for its seafood when I was still in the Tiusle Empire." She said after thinking about for some time.

"Hmm, well what you said is true but the dishes you are talking are really expensive so not everyone is able to afford them which also counts me as one of those people who can't afford to eat it. So are you sure that you want to eat there because it would cost around 3000 Zils at least and that is if it is only you who eats there?" I asked her to confirm if she still wants to eat at such an expensive place.

"Did you forget that all I have is money? Don't worry I will treat you too" She said while chuckling.

"Haha, must be good to come from a rich family and not to worry about your expenses," I said with a bitter smile.

"Hmm, not worry my fart. We have more important things to worry about other than expenses and it's not like we have unlimited money, and also it's after all a human nature to always want more." She said with ridicule.

"I guess I can't debate with you with that huh? Since I haven't really lived a rich life to know what it's like." I said admitting my defeat. 'As if I would ever debate with you because my grandfather always told me there would never be a good ending if you debate with beautiful women.' He thought to himself

After searching around the internet for a restaurant famous for its seafood, I finally found one. "Hey Ann I looked around the internet for a restaurant and I found one which is around ten minutes away from here by walking and its name is The Red Lantern," I said to Ann to see if she didn't mind.

"Sounds good to me lets go there." She acknowledged.

"Wow," I said in a little amazement which led Ann to give me a confused look.

"Umm, is there something wrong with what I said?" She asked, not understanding the reason of my amazement.

"Nah, there is nothing wrong with what you said. It's just that I didn't expect you to agree to walk for ten minutes in such a sunny day. Don't misunderstand, I am not ridiculing you or something but as much as I have heard rich people are usually very unhealthy and hate walking like this much. Much less they don't even like to sweat, especially the rich girls." I answered to her confused look.

"Oh, I know what you mean and what you said is usually true but not all the rich people are like that," She said with a smile.

After some walking, we finally reached the restaurant and were guided to a table of two by a waiter who was working there.

"So what would you like to eat?" I asked her trying to seem like a gentleman.

"Hehe, let me see the menu first at least." She said with a little laugh maybe because she realized my intention to act like a gentleman which made me a little embarrassed and to abuse myself for not even realizing that she had to at least look at the menu first.

"Oh, I would like to try this dish, it looks good in the menu" she said to me while pointing to a dish after pondering around for a little while.

"Let me see, oh isn't it Tuna Mousse? I have heard a lot about it and it's also pretty famous over here." I said to her.

"Well, if that's true then I will order this. So what are you going to order Mr. Gentleman?" She asked teasingly.

"Oh please" I rolled my eyes. "To be honest I have never come to these kinds of expensive places before so even I don't know much these dishes," I told her the truth.

"If that's the case why don't we order the same thing? If the food is good then we can enjoy together and if it's bad we can suffer together, hehe" She said playingly.

"Umm, I am fine with that but are you sure, because it costs 2800 Zils and is we both order it the total is going to be 5600 Zils and I won't be able to return that kind of money anytime soon," I asked her.

"Of course I am and you don't have to worry about paying it to me right now. You can always return it to me when you get rich." She said with a warm smile to comfort Kyle just so he would not worry much about it. 'To be honest I didn't even want him to pay me back since I don't care about that kind of meagre money but I know better that no man would want a girl to pay for them since it would hurt their ego.' Ann thought to herself.

"If you say so but I will make sure to pay you back when I earn that much money, so thank you," Kyle said with a little blush and looked down to hide it.

"Hehe sure," She said.

After eating we walked back to the University. While we were still walking my phone got a notification with a somewhat similar tone. "Ding-Ding"

I instantly understood that the ringtone was from the mysterious app which made me happy because it means that there is a new quest and a new quest means that there is more money. However, after looking at what the quest was, I felt like someone poured cold water on me.

'Are you f**king kidding me? Go f**k your whole freaking generation organization. Is this even a quest? How can I even do that when I just met her last night? In addition, why would she even want to get close to me when I don't even have anything to provide her with.' Kyle thought to himself and not daring to say it out loud because he didn't know what would happen if the organization hears him cursing them.
