A little freedom

It got to the point Merry herself didn't know how many days had passed. Merry was growing anxious and frustrated for the longest time but as the days went by she started to feel something else; a sense of hopelessness.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, one day Grace came in with news, some good news.

Mrs. Miller had called Merry out to have dinner in the dining hall, which was a welcome break from being cooped up in her room.

Merry couldn't help but feel suspicious about the sudden invitation to the dinner. She wondered what Mrs. Miller's intentions were behind calling her out when Mrs. Miller had been completely ignoring her for months.

Despite the suspicion, Merry came out of her room and followed Grace to the dining hall.

On the way, Merry felt weird for not having left her room for so long that she felt unsteady on her feet.
