Chapter 8

Maria was crying nonstop as she was so touched by the letter she got from Ryan. She didn't expect him to go this far for her, no one have ever tried to ask for her forgiveness or anything, she was always the one who has to apologize even for the things that she didn't do.

She cried for minutes and minutes until someone knocked on her door.

She couldn't leave her bed as her legs were so weak at that moment. She thought Trixie or any other maid who were knocking on her door so she decided to pretend being asleep. Little did she know that non other than Ryan who was knocking on her door.

Ryan's pov :

I got so worried because she didn't leave her room this past 30 minutes, so i went to her room but she wasn't answering.

I called Trixie over so i could ask for the key to their room as they are rommates.

'' Can you give me the keys to your room. It's urgent !'' Said Ryan while his heart was beating nonstop.

'' Of course boss, here you are ''

Trixie gave him the keys only to realize that his hands were shaking like there is no tomorrow.

She left quickly as she knew Ryan and Maria needed privacy.

Ryan then opened the door so quietly without making any sound because even though he was hella worried about her, he was aware that she maybe could be sleeping.

And he really did found her sleeping so magically on her bed.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing as he was so mesmerized by her beauty. Her soft baby face that is screaming for protection, her cherry lips that seem so kisseable, and her silky long hair that could melt any man who touches it.

He suddenly felt possessive of her as he was thinking about all the possibilities that could make any other man touches her however he wants.

'' There is no way in hell i will let another man touches you. You're mine and mine only Maria'' Ryan whispered in his breath as he didn't want to speak loudly so she wouldn't hear him and wake up.

He then went to her and sat quietly in the edges of the bed and took her hands, he interwinded their fingers together as he whispered.

'' I don't understand but i love you''

Ryan didn't said anything else beside this, he only caressed her fluffy cheeks and started tearing.

It would seem impossible to see Ryan crying as he is known to be the heartless cold Mafia man who doesn't care for anyone. As there are stereotypes saying that he doesn't even care or love his own family since he is so cruel to everyone.

Little did they know that he is one of the sweetest people alive when it comes to his family and especially the love of his life.

Maria is one of the deerest people to him , he can't live without her.

She is his life.

He could take down his own life if it was to save her. She was the only one who was there for him in his toughest and hardest times, she didn't leave him even when she knew the truth about him being a Mafia leader. She took a good care of him so that's why he is trying his best to make her his and protect her with his life as he can't live without her.

Ryan was crying so quietly as tears were dropping on Maria's face.

She felt them and she knew Ryan was crying.

She got emotional and she also started tearing.

Unfortunatly Ryan didn't noticed her crying as his eyes were closed.

After some minutes

They both got sleepy. Ryan slept with his head on Maria's shoulders and she slept while hugging him.

Trixie came to her room in order to change her clothes as she was going out to get some groceries since it's her duty for the day. Only to find out her boss and her best friend cuddling each other while sleeping.

She was so mesmerized by the scene so she took her phone out and took a picture of them so she could tease her best friend about it later one.

Trixie quietly took the clothes that she needed and left her room without making any sound as the couple were busy cuddling each other.

Even though Trixie tried her best to leave the room without making any sound but Ryan who is so sensitive to sounds heard the door closing. He knew it was Trixie because she is the only one beside Maria who can enter the room, so he didn't mind her and continued sleeping without noticing how he was sleeping.

30 minutes later

Ryan woke up first and he finally noticed how he was sleeping only to see Maria clinging to him like there is no tomorrow.

He smiled at her and tried to leave her grip but she didn't want to let go.

He tried calling her name to wake her up so she could leave his hand as he needs to leave for the meeting. But she didn't heard him as she was still hugging him.

'' Maria, Maria, wake up sweety'' Whispered Ryan with a gentle voice.

Still no answer though, so he tried to call her again but this time while caressing her face.

'' Sweetheart, please wake up i have work to do, i really need to leave''

'' Five more minutes please'' Said Maria with a baby voice.

Ryan was dying from her cuteness, he was at the verge of melting .

'' Maria, i have an important meeting, i can't be late for it, please sweetheart let me go''

'' No don't leave me, i'm so sleepy please'' said Maria with a pout on her lips.

Ryan couldn't help it but imagine kissing that pout as she was hella cute.

''Sweetheart. Darling, if you want to stay clinging to me like a koala then i don't have any problem to bring you with me like this in front of the whole world'' Said Ryan with a playful look.

He knew teasing her would be the only way that could actually wake her up.

And basically , she did wake up.

''Koala ?? what do you mean koala, I'm not a koala'' said Maria while pouting.

''Yes sweetheart, you are not a koala, i am the koala because according to your anology i am the one who was clinging to you like there is no tomorrow right?''

''Oh come on Ryan, i am sorry okay, i just liked the warm that's why i didn't want to let go. Plus it was my first time in a while that i slept so peacefuly'' said Maria with a sad voice.

''It's okay sweetheart, if you liked it then we can do it whenever you want'' Said Ryan with a smirk on his face.

Maria knew what he was meaning, so she started hitting his chest and she quickly left the bed and went to the bathroom to wash up.

'' Pervert'' was what she said before leaving.

''Whatever you say sweetheart'' said Ryan with a smile on his face as he left the room to go to his meeting.
