The next big event, for us at least, was the opening of the new performing arts center at the University of Aragoni. Dr. Foster and his partner would be arriving a few days before the performance, and we’d invited William and Henry Lane to come with them. Dani and I had managed to squeeze a trip to Milan into their schedule, and we were looking forward to attending a performance of Carmenat La Scala on the Saturday night following Dr. Foster’s Friday evening performance. Dr. Foster would, of course, be staying to conduct his master classes, but the Lanes were planning to fly to London the day after the La Scala performance to spend a few days in the UK before they returned to Boston.
