Chapter 98

“Good to see you again, William, Henry,” I said.

“Likewise,” they said, almost in unison.

“Knowing you’d have a good deal of luggage,” I said, “we brought a van.”

I gestured toward the van, where Sal was in the process of opening the rear door to allow our guests’ bags to be loaded.

“We’d thought about giving you the keys to our house up on the mountain, Dr. Foster,” I said, “but decided that you’d probably want to be closer to the concert hall to facilitate your rehearsal sessions.”

“Please call me Tom,” he said, “and you thought correctly. So, where will we be staying?”

“We sent the nanny and the children to the house on the mountain, and you guys will be staying with us in il Castello d’Aragoni.”

“We’re gonna stay in an actual castle?” Noah said.

“Not really. Our building is actually part of a complex of buildings, adjacent to the actual castle, that are collectively referred to as il Castello.”
