Chapter 77: Hope's Mission

The crackling of wood burning in the fireplace could be heard and the soft glow of the flames was all that lit the room. Across from the fireplace, Hope and Brendon sat across from each other in a double armchair, sharing a quiet silence.

Although the atmosphere was peaceful, Hope's mind was in turmoil. When they had gone to Cale's hideout over the weekend, they had discussed many things and talked about what they were going to do next. Hope could now clearly see the small tremors of events that, though unnoticed, would eventually change humanity and the world forever.

Details she hadn't realized before became clear when she talked to Cale and her other friends. Hope couldn't help but feel like an ignorant child after all this. But it didn't matter.
