Hunter's side of the bed was empty, when Esmee woke up. Panicking, she sat up and looked around the room. No Hunter. She got up and checked in the ensuite. No dice. Frantic, she pulled her dressing gown on and crossed the bedroom. The bedroom opened the door before she could get to it, and Hunter entered the room carrying a tray laden with breakfast foods.
"Good morning sunshine! I see you are already up." He said, setting the tray down on one of the nightstands.
"No thanks to you. You had me panicking that something had happened to you, and I had slept through it." She retorted.
"I'm sorry." He replied. "Here, come back to bed. You should be resting, especially after yesterday."
"You will only be forgiven if you feed me." Esmee replied. Hunter laughed.
"I see that being knocked to the ground by a handsome werewolf hasn't harmed your appetite." He said, taking the try from the nightstand and placing it on her lap.
