It was chaos for a moment in the oasis with the rainstorm that drenched the entire place. Quinn was over, grabbing Asir because clearly, he was involved, and he wasn't about to let him go wandering off. Second, he was not going to go chase Carter down and arrest him, not after what he just saw.
Vintas, Portia, Adina, and Mason took off after Carter. The others had seen Tazani fly over them toward the cave not stopping when they called out to him. The rest had turned to follow and had been slowed by a few nasty worm-like creatures that they had not been expecting but managed to fend off. That had stopped them from reaching and finding this oasis right away.
