chapter 6

after leaving the library ,  Ming  got back to his room and ordered some lunch from his servant , when the lunch arrived and he starts eating ,  Ming noticed some strange feeling all over his body  , stomachache  , his legs were tremblingand and   his mind was blurry , for a period of time before going back  to normal . he thought it was  strange but he didn't do anything about it, he decided to wait  and see before calling  for the doctor .

many days has passed while Ming was trying to get used to his new environment , and it's already one week since his arrival to this era .

Ming was in his room eating his lunch when the same strange feeling and pain washed over his body again and he he started to feel suspicious and worried about the conditions of this body he has possessed

while  he was at lunch ,  he thought about all the information he has gathered since the first day of his arrival,  Ming didn't meet with any of the princes or the princess after the first and the second day ,  so the only princes that he met were the first prince the second ,   the fourth Prince  , the sixth and the 9th Prince along with the first princess ,  and he didn't meet with any of his concubines except for the clingy blonde woman that he  was weirded out every time he think about her.

after finishing his lunch Ming decided to go out and spend some time in the Imperial Garden ,  but he wasn't in his best state ,  those symptoms were coming  back to him from time to time ,   he did feel a bit strange the day he arrived in this era but it was getting worse lately.

after arriving at the Imperial Garden ,  Ming sat  on one of the  chairs in front of a table of tea ,  and watched  the beautiful garden with all the rare  flowers and fascinating plants that it was known for , and after spending some time enjoying the beautiful view  , he noticed someone messing around the grass in the gardens ground,  it seems like...a woman ??!

Ming got a little closer to see who might this woman be , he felt a bit of fear that she might be one of his concubines ،  another weird one , but once he had a closer look he noticed her very  young appearance and immediately knew that she must be one of his daughters.

"( Should all my meetings with my sons be in this garden  ?   doesn't they have any better place to be in ?? ")

He saw a little girl ,  she looked around 14 playing or searching something in the grass, she was wearing messy and dirty clothes , it was princess's clothes but it  looked cheaper than the usual , and with zero jewelry ،    she has brown eyes and long black hair covered in grass and tree leaves ،  she was a bit short and has a weird attitude. There was a basket full of plants and leaves beside her , he can tell only from looking at her that she was searching for some plants in the ground , he stepped closer to her then caught to announce his arrival once you notice his presence she got shocked a bit but she quickly turns up and bowed politely

" The 7th princess is greeting the imperial father "

" You may rise now princess what are you doing here on the ground ? "

She looked away for a moment before returning her gaze toward him

" I was searching for a medical  herb , your Majesty "

He raised an eyebrow

" A medical herb ?  here.... in the  imperial garden !? "

" Yes your majesty, the imperial garden is known for having the rarest and most precious plants and herbs  in the world ,  so I come here searching for some of it "

" I know this already  , this is not what I was asking about, why are you searching by yourself  ? you can just order someone to bring it  to you from the medical Treasury "

There was an unreadable expression on the girl's face before she smiled bitterly and said :

" I don't have this privilege your majesty "

Ming got confused and also surprised by what she just said :

(" she doesn't have the privilege !?  , what does that mean ?  and what's with the bitter smile she has !?  is there anything going on with the 7 princess?? ")

" Hey princesses!...can you tell me about....."

His sentence where interrupted by a strange feeling of tiredness and weakness washing all all over his body along with his sound of coughing and dazzling in his mind .

The princess was surprised by the sudden change in the emperor's conditions  , but she  quickly went to him and helped him to sit on one of the garden's chairs .

She looked at him with analytical eyes and tried to quickly diagnose his condition ، and at the moment she was about to call for the doctors ,  she can feel his hand grabbing  her wrist and stopping her .

" No need for this my daughter , i was just feeling dizzy from standing under the sun ....no need to call the physician "

" You must be kidding father ! .. there is no way that your symptoms are because of the Sun , you seem to be under....."

She cuts her own words at the realization of what she was about to say , which picked Ming's suspicions and curiosity.

" You seem to know a lot my daughter, can you tell me more about what you think of my condition"

Ming knew that one of the emperor Jin's daughters was into the medical field , but he didn't remember that it was the youngest princess " Jin Yaopin " , and he was curious to know what was her thoughts about his physical conditions.

The princess eyes light up hearing her father the emperor asking about her medical opinion , However, she hesitated a little before speaking:

" Your majesty, the Weakness and trembling in your legs is evidence of a problem with blood circulation, whether the cause is one of the components of the blood or a problem with the circulation of the blood itself, and the feeling of dizziness in your head is caused by the lack of one of the components of the blood reaching the veins located around the brain, and finally... The repeated coughing is considered a response by your immune system that detects a foreign body entering your body, it is likely entered through the mouth."

Ming's eyes opened wide upon hearing the princess's explanation. It was a logical explanation, but for some reason it seemed incomplete and without enough details. However , he attributed it to her young age and lack of experience.

" I see... thanks for the explanation my daughter....I will call the physician later so you can rest assured "

" Thanks for listening for this inexperienced daughter, I will take my leave and let you rest"

" You may leave now , princess "

he said waving to he's as she bowed then left the garden with her full of herbs basket

After the princess left, Ming felt a strange sense of anxiety and tension which made him return to his suite and call the emperial physician.

_ seventh princess pov_ :

(" That's strange , the emperor's symptoms resemble that of a untoxication , that can't happen when all his meals are made carefully in the imperial kitchen by the emperial chef , not to mention the improvement of the condition of the palace management after appointing the first sister in the job , is it some new disease that I didn't hear about??!...I need to send a letter to grandpa ")

While the 7th princess was hurrying to her room , a man's voice interrupted her

" Hi there "

She looked at the direction that here sound were coming from, It was coming from above the trunk of a tree , she looks up to see who's the one calling her , to see a young man in his twenties, he has long red hair tied in a ponytail ، and deep mint eyes , he was wearing a shirt and pants in the ancient Chinese style that will not hinder his movement ، his mint eyes were staring at her warmly and he was waving for her from above .

" Long time no see second brother"

" That's true sis , it has been a while...how were you doing"

" I am good, how about you?...still climbing the trees and avoiding classes? "

" Hahaha 😅...you know me well little sis ... I saw you were hurrying to your room..can I ask why ? "

" Well ..I was about to write a letter to my grandfather to ask him about a new disease that I never heard about , I think it's spreading in the palace "

The first prince was surprised and curious about this information .

" A new disease !? , I never heard that there was a new disease in the palace , how did you know about its existence ?? "

" Well you see .... the imperial father was having those strange symptoms recently , it's similar to the intoxication but ... there's no way that will happen to father so .."

The second prince's eyes widened in surprise, then he put his hand on his chin and started scratching it while thinking.

(" It can't be a new disease as the 7th sister said.... don't tell me...!! ")

His eyes widened again in realization , Then he said in an urgent tone

" Go and ask your grandfather about it , explain the exact symptoms to him and ask him to give you a detailed explanation about the reason and the cure "

The seventh princess was surprised by the sudden order but she regained her composer quickly and said :

"Don't worry my brother, I will ask him and bring the answer to you to read it together "

Then she quickly continued her way to her room leaving the second prince in deep thoughts.

" ....I need to investigate.."
