Lai's Amnesia and Support

"You're awake," she said soothingly, "Don't worry. You're in the hospital. You've been in an accident."
Lai's eyes widened in alarm, "An accident? What happened?"
Before the nurse could respond, the door to the room swung open. Bai, the handsome man in his twenties, rushed in, his face etched with worry. He would come to the hospital every day to check up on Lai.
He was delighted when he received a call from the hospital that Lai had awoken. He had come rushing to see her. The nurse felt he had an air of authority as he strode to Lai's bedside. His expression was a mixture of relief and concern.

Meanwhile, in the speeding ambulance, Lai lay unconscious, her fate hanging in the balance. Li Mei's thoughts raced as the paramedics worked tirelessly to save Lai. She knew that this accident would probably get her killed since Lai was Bai's PA.
