Finding Lairs and Following Shadows
Jake screamed his head out once he made sure that he had come quite far off from the others. His soft brown hair was now stuck to his skin, itching him inside out. He pushed his hair back and punched the tree in front of him.
Again, again and again. Then his head flopped down on the rough bark and rubbed his forehead against it, a low grunt forming in his throat. He wanted to destroy this place, put it on fire, anything!
He tried to use his Dominance Warp to call in the dry leaves of the forest, make them rub together and create a forest fire. He tried so damn hard, but he just couldn't. "What the hell!" he screamed in frustration. Then he focused on the drops of water still remnant of the ground from the rain that had come and gone. He tried to control that water too, like he had done before.
But the drops lay still on the ground like stone, mocking him. "Arghh! What the heck is wrong with you!" he yelled to particularly no one.
