Chapter 12:"The navy joining the battle."

Jhon realized that the men is serious,There is no trace of hesitation evident on his face."for me I will chose death over life of slavery,what they will chose?I no longer care about this life or anything except my wife, but I cannot be the cause of the death of all these innocent people."Jhon was talking with him self.

It was evident that he would surrender."please don't Jhon "Harry said loudly.

"Scream as you wish; I don't care about his decision. He's a loser." The men said.

At that moment, Jhon felt a group of people approaching and also sensed that they were powerful."It's possible they are with him. My situation is over now; I'm not ready to face these people in my current state."

An arrow shot from an unknown direction at an incredible speed, hitting the man holding Harry's hand with the sword. Immediately after, they began to storm in. They were a skilled team, taking no more than a moment to end the lives of all the slave traders. It was akin to butchers entering a chicken coop. They only let the leader alive.

"I think this one enough " one of them said.

"He is the leader Kali, and he know more than any one of his Men" another men of them answered.

Jhon realized that they were from navy soldiers.

"I am Kuroro, the deputy commander. For those still alive, surrender, and we promise you a fair trial." He said,A muscular man with short hair and a beard, he has a white face with a scar beside his left eye.

"What will we do about him?" A one said,He meant Jhon.

"Take him to prison with them" the deputy said.

"No sir ,I was watching them,he wasn't with them " a men showed behind Jhon said. It seemed he was from nave as well.

"But he killed a lot of people with no proof "

"He only wanted to save the girls."

"We are not sure about that"

""This is our biggest mistake, allowing criminals to roam freely and capturing the wrong individuals." The men said ."This is not justice, Commander. You must know that I do not agree with this justice. Here are the ones who intended to kidnap the girls. He wanted to save them only. I have investigated his case; he is the renowned bounty hunter known as 'John Death's Eye.'"

"That is right,the sword he carried is the Death's Eye "the men with the bow said.

"OH that is it,so we will let him go,but if he does something like that again we will take him to the prison" the deputy said.

"Wait,wait, I see you are planning for my life without taking my opinion " Jhon said.

"Your opinion doesn't matter" the deputy.

"I am happy because the girls are okay,but I want my reward" jhon said.

"Your reward??you are lucky because we haven't taken to the prison,you killed a people they are not officiall criminals in the navy"

"I think there is a few men from are Wanted by justice." The men with the bow said.

"How many?"

"I think they are 5 "

"What is the value of their bounties?"

"I think it's 27 gold coins ,As a gesture of gratitude for his help, i think we should give him his reward here."

"I won't go without my rewards" Jhon said.

"Don't be too arrogant. I can take to the prison if I want" the deputy said.

"My lord,he helped us a lot,We have been searching for them for five years now. " the men with the bow said.

"We were originally going to capture them." The deputy said.

"But it's not polite to send him empty-handed after all what he did"

"Yeah we need to maintain the navy's reputation."

"Yeah right "the deputy said "But if you do something like this again, I won't forgive you. Your job is to catch criminals, not to do our work."

"Bring him his Gold" the men with the bow said.

"So, you're the one who made us look like fools for five years. You will pay for all of this Kali, and you will tell me everything." The deputy spoke to him. Kali was the person responsible for smuggling slaves, using steamships. He had been successful in this for many years, and the navy had never known anything about him.

"Can I ask him about something " Jhon said.

"I told you that your job is to catch criminals only, and not to interfere in matters that do not concern you." The deputy said sternly.

"Damn ,and I don't think that men will tell me anything " Jhon said in his mind.

At that moment, John carried the gold and started walking to leave, but then he was intercepted by the navy doctor.

"I cannot allow you to leave without treatment." The doctor Said.

"I didn't allow you to do that" the deputy said angrily.

"Sorry, sir, but I have a duty to treat any wounded, regardless of who they are. As a doctor, I must adhere to that." The doctor said, "But I would be happier if I had your permission."He added.

"You have it" the deputy said. Then Jhon went with the doctor.

The doctor took him to under a tree in a somewhat peaceful and beautiful place, then he started taking out tools. "I will open your wound to clean it from toxins, and then I will stitch it again to ensure it doesn't get infected in the future," the doctor said with a smile that John didn't find reassuring, even though the doctor didn't mean anything harmful. "Here, take this drink so you don't feel the pain," the doctor said as he pulled out a bottle containing a black liquid. The drink was a sedative used by doctors to numb patients if their treatment required surgery.

"No i don't want it,I can do it without it" jhon said.

"It will be painful. As a doctor, I advise you to drink it so that things go smoothly." The doctor replied.

"I've been through worse. I can handle it. Just do your job." Jhon said angrily. "Nothing is painful than losing my wife for me," he added in his mind.

"Just don't be angry, if you don't want ,so don't drink it" the doctor said.

Afterward, the doctor began to open the wounds for cleaning. It was painful, but John showed no reaction. The doctor thought to himself. "What make a pirate hunter like you follow those unknown slave traders?" The doctor asked Jhon.

"I don't think the discussions are helpful for your work" Jhon said sharply.

At that moment, the doctor realized that John was not the type to enjoy talking about himself. Therefore, he continued his treatment without conversation.

What will John do now? Will he go to the island to meet the old man? Or will he change his mind and continue this journey alone?.
