OUTCOME OF THE BATTLE

All this time they were arrogant. Bracket their small city's, they felt as if they were heaven defying geniuses. But when they entered the forest, their pride started to crumble slowly.

But after seeing the fight between the two Dao Masters, The remaining pride within their heart has been completely shattered. Now in the place of pride, fear started to take birth.

Frogs in the well!

This is the impression they got about themselves. This world was large. It was very big. But they all were quoted as the geniuses that were seen once in every thousand years by the people around them.

They grew up with these kind of praises showering on them. They always believe that whatever people thought about them was right. And whenever there used to be a fight with someone with lower lower status, they used to call them and the frog in the well.

But after witnessing the fight between Rick and Cohan, they came to understand one terrifying truth. And that is, they were actually the true frogs in the well.

This world is big. There are people whose cultivation level is not only higher than theirs. But their Dao Energy is very strong and terrifying.

They were all depressed. All of them now had the impulse for committing suicide. They wanted to cry but no tears came out.

But it is not important at this moment. They have to worry about the bigger picture. And the bigger picture is actually the result of this clash between the two Dao attacks.

As dust settled, people started to look at the battlefield with eyes full of expectations. No one but themselves knew whom they were supporting. But it was pretty sure that majority of the people were supporting Rick.

Who liked the Raven Sect? They were not just arrogant. Their arrogance reached extreme point. They killed whomever they want. All the good things were plundered by them first. And the remaining scraps were left for them to fight.

There were many such things which were hard to describe but done by the Raven Sect. The summary is that, no one liked the Raven Sect. Even though they were not openly cheering for Rick, in their hearts, they were cheering for his victory.

So they were looking at the battle with eyes full of expectations. As the dust finally started to clear up, they saw a shadow kneeling on the ground. No one knew whom this shadow belongs to. But whoever it belonged to, the people could could tell easily that, this person's condition is not looking good.

As they were wondering among Rick and Cohan, who this person is, the dust cleared even further and people saw the person who was kneeling on the ground with weakness all over his body.

Rick!

The person who was kneeling on the ground was actually Rick. His clothes were torn from place to place. People could see blood oozing out from his body. He was severely injured. This was for sure.

But people were not bothered with it that much. In fact, they were admiring Rick's courage. Despite possessing the Pill to heal himself, on the command from his leader, he didn't take it. And he fought with severely injured body.

Even though his situation was not looking good, he was still fighting. They were sure that, if it wasn't for his injured body, Rick had high chances for victory.

In their views, Rick was stronger than Cohan. There is no doubt about it. If it wasn't for Rick's weak cultivation base, Rick could crush Cohan with one hand. And yet, he could put some pressure on Cohan.

Alas, Rick's cultivation base was weaker than Cohan's. No one can blame but fate where Rick who was born later than Cohan. If it wasn't for this, then Rick would have been the one to be emerged victor.

But he lost today. It is the fact which proved that strength is mattered. In front of the absolute strength, even those so called geniuses are nothing but peasants.

They all felt that Rick lost. Even though they didn't speak it out, they were all disappointed. They were depressed. But they didn't showed it out.

"WHAT?" ,At that time, they heard one of them shouting loudly, "How is this possible?"

People who were depressed were surprised. Because this voice came from within the battlefield. It actually came from one of the member of the Raven Sect. There was fear, horror and disbelief written on their faces.

Only then they decided to look at the situation on the battlefield. And when they looked at the battlefield, they also opened their mouth wide in shock and awe.

They saw that Rick was kneeling on the ground with his strength which hit the limits. And as for Cohan, he was actually lying on the ground. Blood was everywhere near his vicinity. And people could tell that, this blood belonged to Cohan.

He couldn't move an inch. He looked at Rick with eyes full of disbelief. Others might not know, but he himself fought against Rick. He knew what exactly happened. When they both clashed using their Dao attacks, Cohan found that, Rick's Manifestation Stage actually managed to pierce slowly destroy his Domain of Dao of Light.

Rick maintained his Dao of Wind for as long as possible. But his body was already in weak state due to that earlier whip attack. Lasting this long was itself a miracle. And yet somehow Rick's manifestation stage was able to destroy his Domain? How is this possible?

Rick endured despite in great pain. Probably, Arjun's condition made him to endure by putting his life on the line. Cohan didn't know the answer. But the last one standing was still Rick.

He lost!

Cohan lost. Despite having all the odds against him, Rick managed to defeat him. He lost for the first time. How could he ever take this?

"I...am...n-not done..ye-yet!" ,These words came out from Cohan's mouth forcefully. He wanted to defeat Rick even if had to put his life on the line.

"It's alright. You have lost." ,At that time. Bruce came forward and spoke, "Just take it easy now."

"No." ,Cohan said while gritting his teeth, "Absolutely...no. I.. didn't give... up. Captain! Please let me... fi-fight."

"No." ,Bruce shook his head, "Despite your loss, I won't blame you. Your opponent is very strong. If I were in your place, I still had the confidence in my victory. But that fight would have not been an easy win. I was sure that I would have suffered some injuries in the process."

When people heard this, they all remained speechless.
