The king has brought everything under his control with his hell legion and not even the prince and princesses could do anything because of the fear. King Barry unearthed the truth about Cecilia and she was executed openly for conspiring against royal family.

Luna had to come out of the church after her father ordered her removal and many laws were put forth to limit the power of church. King Barry resembled Ash in this aspect because he crushed everything that come against him to bring everything under his control. 

He decided to spare Jordan, Cristo dukedoms and Hammerwald barony becauuse they did not involve themselves in power struggles but he kept an eye on them for any retaliation for killing Ash. There was one place he failed.

He tried to crush the Order but due to their international presence and support hell legion got crushed so he decided to refrain from making any more rash moves.
