Varun POV
Ah! The game of chances. Which is pretty for familiar to me.
It helped me to crack NTSE(National talent scholarship exam), joint entrance exam mock tests, science olympiads, etc.
To be precise I am talented and exceptional at multiple choice-based questions...Which is the most desired talent in India.
This is the second time I am going to japan. I visited this country...I have finished primary education in japan...But I want to finish high school in japan again.
I am resisting this place.
Enough about that, Just because I am good at MCQs doesn't mean I consider myself a genius because I didn't compete against a skilled and talented opponent yet.
A human's worth and skill level are based on the opponent they compete against. So I don't like calling myself that yet until I battle with one of them. Until then I am just a Sharma
The reason I have decided to enter this school is that I have decided to use my talents and my skills to the fullest. In order words, I want to compete and push my limits.
I want to embrace the game of chances to the fullest, explore the unknown factors, and manipulate them to the core.
This game is certainly the best game I have played for. And after I have finished that, I will target IIt and I will write JEE mains and JEE advanced.
No matter what my interests are my parents insist on me becoming an engineer...To be fair I wanted to do Btech and pursue MBA afterward as I have an interest in Finance as well as electronics.
"Son, come and perform the ritual for Durga Devi " Varun's mother insisted.
"Ok mom," Varun said and he completed the ritual.
"Son, wear this white dress when you go to shop " Varun's mother told her.
"Mom, I want to wear this black shirt and pants " Varun insisted.
"Varun...what will four people will think of us when you are not listening to your own mother's word " Varun's mother complained.
"Gupta Ji came mom " Varun changed the topic when Gupta came along with his son.
"Hello Sharma Ji, how are you doing ?" Gupta greeted Varun's mother.
"We are doing fine...how are you, Gupta Ji? " Varun's mother and Varun greeted.
"We are doing fine....and son, learn something from Sharma Ji's son...he cracked NTSE and scored 10 pointer in 10th class...you do nothing but play PUBG all day " Gupta complained to his son.
"Always the bloody Sharma and his achievements." Gupta's son cursed silently while crying.

Varun's POV
And here we arrived at Hyakkou Private. I have a certain childhood friend at this school which I know, but I don't have any idea how is she by now. We lost contact after primary school. We went to our separate ways after primary school.
This was it, I am finally here. After an absurdly long plane flight, I am finally here. Hyakkou Private Academy. An academy where your academic skills matter less, which is a break for my academic study, and your skill level in the game of chances matter more here, which is indeed the reason I have arrived here. A deserving break for a hectic Indian student.
I am certainly glad I am here, I think I am feeling like I am actually in IIT. I might be extravagating but wonderful feelings have approached in my heart. The idea of playing the game of chances, as well as using my talent here fills my heart's desire to the core.
In other words, I am looking forward to being the unknown factor in this academy.
In my previous school, I have a lot of experience Gambling in Dream 11 Ipl. And I guess the cricketers who scored well Each time. So I have nearly more than 1500 billion in Indian rupees which I can burn here.
Cash is not the problem here. I can earn it again by making a team in dream 11 and in betting matches. I just need gambling to earn money, I wonder how much cash I can earn here. Possibly triple the money I have now.
I should probably purchase a deluxe apartment, a rich car, and some maids to make up for my luxurious lifestyle.
Coming to my mother, no matter how much money I bring her, she won't be happy, until I become an engineer and find some government job. Which is the typical mindset of every Indian parent.
I walked in through the large metal gates into the very beautifully maintained courtyard. There is a large fountain in the middle of the courtyard. It was a pretty sunny day. The Building is extra large and elegant which gave off an imposing vibe. I walked up to the main doors and walked in.
I have noticed that the students wore a reb blazer over what looked to be a white button-up dress shirt. With boys wearing dark pants and....girls wearing short dark plaid skirts. How do girls in the schools are comfortable with wearing such skirts? I think this is school is crazy. I hope I can find some sane individuals here.
I have seen a girl with long dark violet that is tied up in a pony tale. She had a calm face with dark violet eyes that matched her hair and wore a standard girl's uniform. Her lips had a light shade of pink lipstick. She is definitely not a normal student.
"I presu- " I was intruppted.
"Varun Sharma, the new transfer student, Am I right? " She told me.
"You are indeed correct. Might you introduce yourself " I replied
"I am Sayaka Igarashi, secretary of student council. Please follow me so we should complete your registration " Sayaka told me.
I don't call people by their last names, which is indeed a bad habit. And I am certainly not Japanese to use their honorifics. I am an Indian, so why should I adapt to the Japanese? I don't follow the trend I am not comfortable with.
"Leader the way then Miss Sayaka," I told her.
"First name, " She said surprised.
"What is the problem," I told her innocently.
She has realized I am not Japanese And paid it no mind.
She bowed back and we walked until we have arrived in a room which looked like an office. She sat on a desk and pointed to a seat across her.
"It says, you have transferred to japan two times, and it seems you are still not aware of Japanese traditions," She asked me with suspicion.
"I have short-term memory loss " I countered back. That is a lie though, I don't have any memory loss.
I can easily come up with dozens of excuses, but it is harder to choose one. Someone
"It also says, you have cracked multiple scholarship exams and science olympiads " She replied.
"That's not a bad thing and last time I checked not everyone has the science olympiad on their resume...which is certainly beneficial for this school to take my admission " I replied to her.
"Impressive," She told me.
"This is not the only thing, you should be impressed on " I replied to her.
I maybe am a little arrogant, but the thing is that the first impression is the best impression.
"Why are you do come so late then? " She replied to my late arrival.
"A police officer caught me and charged me 500 yen for overspeeding...and I gave him 1000 yen back and I told him that I will Overspeed again when I come back there again...that's how it will be with me. " I told her with a smug smile.
I have a different and unique style. I am definitely arrogant.
"Well, I see no reason to keep up any further Mr. Sharma. Please report to the classroom so you can begin immediately " She replied to me.
"I thank you, then Sayaka. I will take my leave " I told her.
I have exited the room with style until I have bumped out into someone.
"Can't you see properly?" I asked him.
"Sorry sir " He replied in a timid tone.
I wondered why is timid and submissive. Are Japanese boys this much submissive and shy?
This guy looked like a gentleman though.
My writing style is vastly different compared to other novels here. It is underrated yet interesting work.
