Chapter 80: War against the invaders

"... Those two really don't listen to me..."

Lucias muttered while staring at the projection of the desolate land through the projection in the middle of the stadium with a slight frown on his face.

"... They already won when Skaði activated her noble phantasms so why did they have to destroy everything"

Lucias muttered as the magic circle behind him shone brilliant light causing all of them to look back as the 4 servants slowly walked with varying expression on their faces.

"... Welcome back, you two"

Lucias greeted the twin goddesses who wore a guilty smile on their faces with their heads down, averting their eyes from Lucias who had a slightly menacing smile on his face.

"What did I say before the round start?"

Lucias asked causing both of them to cutely jolt in their place while silence slowly devoured their base.

"... Not to destroy the entire field"

Ereshkigal honestly answered causing Lucias to deepen his smile before pointing at the projection above them.

"Then what is that?"

Lucias asked while pointing his thumb at the projection of the desolate land inside the projection causing the two of them to nervously fidget in response.

"T-That is..."

Ishtar muttered while scratching her cheek causing Lucias to helplessly sigh before checking their body for any status ailments that was inflected on them during the fight.

"... At least you two are safe..."

Lucias said as he patted both of their heads, causing both of them to look up at him with teary eyes.

"Don't look at me like that..."

Lucias before lightly hitting both of their heads, causing it to crash on the ground of their base.

"That's your punishment for not listening to me, especially you Ishtar"

Lucias said with a light smile on his face, ignoring the enthusiastic voice of the announcer who was excitedly showing the results of the match, while the Mythological Gods stared at the screen in awe from the destructive combination attack of the twin goddesses.

[Combantant Astaroth has won not a single match for this game, and is left with 6 pieces in his peerage!!! Will he still be able win against combatant Lucias Frey at this rate!?!? What do our two guest think of his chances in winning this match?]

The announcer shouted in enthusiasm as he placed the mic in front of Governor and Michael who only smiled wryly in response.

[The chances of him... winning? If I had to put it nicely... incredible slim?]

[You don't have to give him hope, Michael. Just say it straight up to his face so he wouldn't fall down as much later on]

Governor answered with a casual expression on his face before laughing loudly in his seat, causing Astaroth to grit his teeth as he glared at his queen who was calmly staring at Lucias with her emotionless eyes.

"This isn't what we agreed on"

Astaroth said with a large frown on his face as every bit of gentleness dissapeared from his expression.

"Our deal is to only fight for you for this silly game of yours so we can deal with Lucias Frey. The contract didn't state that we had to win"

The [Queen] answered in a cold, monotonous voice that contained little to no emotion causing Astaroth to glare at her direction with a vicious smile on his face.

"You're making me look like a laughing stock to the entire supernatural world"

"That doesn't matter, since they won't be laughing for long"

The [Queen] retorted as a cold smile surfaced behind her mask, causing Astaroth to shiver in fear as a vicious killing intent suddenly ran down his spine.

"You..."

"It is not in the contract for you to ask any questions about us or our plan, so keep your mouth shut devil"

The [Queen] immediately cut him off before glancing at the 5 remaining pawn in her hands before glancing at Lucias who was looking at them with a suspicious expression on his face.

"We will now initiate our plan, so all of you... get ready... and die for the True Goddess of Lust, Xaosis-sama"

She stated with a fanatic expression on her face, causing the 5 pawns to viciously smile in response as they all readied their weapons of choice.

"As you wish, Madam"

All 5 of them answered in response as the arbiter suddenly called the two kings to step in their respective stands.

"Both kings, hold your dice and wait for my signal"

He said causing both Astaroth and Lucias to grabe their respective dice in hand.

"Shoot!!"

The arbiter shouted causing both Lucias and Astaroth to throw their dice on their stand as the results were projected on the large projection floating in the middle of the stadium.

[Combatant Lucias Frey has... rolled a value of 6!! And combatant Diodora Astaroth has a... value of 6 as well!! Giving both teams additional 12 values in this round!! Lucias Frey still has 16 values from the previous round. Giving him total value of 28!! A huge advantage for this round!!]

The announcer shouted in excitement causing the crowd to cheer in anticipation as they waited for the round to start.

[Both teams will be given 3 minutes to prepare for this round! So both team get in your bases!]

The arbiter shouted causing Lucias to immediately walk towards his servants with a light frown visible on his face.

"What's wrong, Master?"

Abby asked while pulling his sleeve with a curious expression on her face.

"... Nothing... I just feel like... something is off for some reason..."

Lucias said in suspicion before glancing at his opponents with a frown visible on his face. 

"... Abby, Anastasia, Merlin, Altera... The four of you will fight for this round"

Lucias said as he chose 4 of his remaining powerful servants that could rival a high God in terms of power and skill.

"I'll do my best, Master!"

Abby happily said with a sweet smile on her face causing Lucias to unconsciously let out a gentle smile before carrying her in his arms.

"Merlin, Altera, Anastasia... Stay alert of this round... I have a bad feeling about this"

Lucias said causing all 3 of them to nod their heads in response as the [Sound Nullification Barrier] around them completely disintegrated, indicating the start of the match.

[Both teams get in your respective teleportation circles!!]

The arbiter shouted causing all 4 of them to immediately walk on top of the magic circle.

[Then let's immediately start the-]

The announcer tried to shout but his words froze when the magic circle started releasing dangerous sparks of mana, causing all of the Maous in the vicinity to narrow their eyes as they quickly stood up from their seat.

"W-What's going on?"

Abby asked with an anxious expression on her face as the magic circle started relasing dangerous light, causing Lucias to panick as he tried to pull the 4 servants out of the magic circle but as dark chains suddenly engulfed their lower body.

"Heracles!!!"

Lucias shouted causing the giant dark skinned servant to loudly roar as he pulled Abby and Anastasia out of the magic circle with all of his strength, causing the ground below them to break as Heracles struggled to break them free.

*ROARRRRRRR*

Heracles roared loudly as his mad enhancement continuously increased his strength.

"Tch"

Lucias clicked his tongue as he quickly entered the magic circle without hesitation and grabbing all of the chains sprouting from the ground.

"[Domain Activation: Destruction]"

Lucias casted, causing a 10 kilometer radius magic circle to appear below him, quickly injecting destructive mana inside the chains as the teleportation circle quickly illuminated, indicating that the teleportation spell will activated after a few seconds.

"ANYONE GRAB ONE OF THEM AND GET READY TO PULL!!"

Lucias shouted towards his servants causing them to quickly grab the 4 servants before starting to pull them out of the magic circle.

The chains then shattered to pieces as hundreds more of those sinister chains engulfed his entire body, pinning him to the ground as the 4 servants were successfully pulled out of the magic circle.

"Let's meet in the battlefield, Lucias Frey"

Diodora Astaroth's [Queen] muttered before throwing her King forcefully inside the teleportation circle as it quickly teleported them and Lucias inside of the dimensional gap.

"MASTER!!"

All of his servants shouted as they tried to grab Lucias but was stopped as a massive wall of crimson ice blocked their path.

"Sorry but... I need you 16 in this place... Stall the enemies until reinforcement arrive"

Lucias said as he easily broke the chains all over his body before dissapearing from his place.

"..."

Silence devoured the entire base before massive explosion occured on top of the stadium as thousands of Gastreas suddenly invaded inside causing all of the Mythological gods to frown.

"This guy's ruining the fun"

An elderly man with long grey hair and a single eye patch that covered his right eye said as the Valkyries around him readied their weapons to fight.

"I didn't expect that I will fight along side you here, Odin-sama"

A handsome middle-aged man with golden hair said as powerful lightning emitted from his hands, staring at the army of Gastreas with a light frown on his face.

"All gods from different mythologies, and cultivators from China against this bunch of insects... I never imagined to witness something like this in my life"

Governor muttered as he arrived at Odin and Zeus' location with a large grin on his face.

"Even if some of the gods here are mortal enemies... When a common and powerful enemy appears, both sides will have no choice but to call it a truce and work together"

Zeus said as all Gods, Devils, Angels, and many other beings from the supernatural world present in the stadium all broke out of the stadium to avoid fighting in a close space.

"Kill everything on sight!!"

A large demon wearing a large dark crown on his head shouted while pointing at the beings scattered accross the Maou Territory.

"Let's see who gets killed first, bastards"

A handsome and buffed man holding a mid-sized hammer covered in lightning said as he immediately charged at the army, causing the other Mythological Gods and their respective armies to follow. Immediately engaging in an all out war against the Gastreas and Demons.

"Let's move"

She said before creating a massive bridge of ice below them towards the wall of the stadium as Heracles roared and charged at wall, breaking a large hole that will serve as their ticket out of the stadium.

"H-How about, Master-sama?"

Gohg asked out with an anxious expression on her face causing Skaði to mysteriously smile while they wall walked out of the stadium to help the Mythological Gods in defending this territory.

"He'll be fine, he's more powerful than all of us combined so he'll be able to handle himself... I don't think that they thought this invasion through for them to attack while the Mythological Gods are in this place"

-with Lucias-

"Lucias Frey, this is the end of the line"

The [Queen] said towards Lucias who stood in front of them with a casual expression on his face.

"I heard that far too many times, and... none of them actually succeeded in doing so"

Lucias said causing the demons to grit their teeth in anger as a vicious aura of bloodlust covered their bodies.

"I wonder how will those devils will react once they found out that the young man that they treasured most actually betrayed them for his selfish desires"

Lucias said causing Astaroth to glare at his direction but froze when his [Queen] stared at him with a cold expression on her face, signalling for him to avoid doing anything stupid that could kill them all.

"We have stalled enough time until our army arrives in this dimension, thank you for joining us in such a silly game, Lucias Frey"

The [Queen] said as the scenery around them transformed into a wide and mountainous terrain.

"Let's not waste anymore time, Lucias Frey"

The [Queen] said as she took off her robe, revealing a fair maiden with cold and pale bluish skin, wearing an extremely revealing outfit that barely hid her body while her long silky black hair scattered on her shoulder and face. 

"A pseudo-goddess?"

Lucias muttered, recognizing the small traces of pure soul essence of a True God inside her body, causing him to smile in amusement while the other pawns took off their robes as they all prepared for battle.

"I would prefer to be called as an Apostle of the True God of Envy, Lucias Frey"

She muttered before summoning a giant demonic scythe with several skulls engraved on its handle, giving off a deadly aura that sent shivers down Astaroth's spine.

"I don't really understand the hierarchy in your army, Apostle-san"

Lucias said as the voice of the 'creator' suddenly echoed inside his head.

"Apostles... they are the second in command below the True Gods of sins. Their are only a few of them, but... I can teach you how to create your own Apostles after this"

The 'creator' said causing Lucias to smile before tapping his foot on the cold hard ground, causing an extremely large magic circle that was even more wider than before appear below them, causing the demons to look at him in caution as they watched take off the gloves that covered his hand.

"[Domain Activation: Destruction]"

He muttered causing his mana to spread across the field as another layer of magic circle enveloped the ground.

"[Domain Activation: Creation]"

Lucias said as a golde crown made from pure divine mana to appear, floating on top of his head as golden mana circuit started to spread throughout his hands.

"Let's see how long you 7 will last against me"

Lucias said as the 9 rings on his finger shattered into pieces as it couldn't contain the amount of mana that Lucias was letting out of his body.

"I won't hold back, so attack me with everything you've got"

-Meanwhile with Asia-

"... Irene"

Asia called out causing Irene to respectfully bow her head towards Asia who held a stoic expression on her face as she watched Lucias get taken away in front of her eyes.

"Gather all available forces in the faction, and... send Great Red and Ophis to the underworld"

Asia ordered causing Irene to meekly nod her head in response.

"Lucias... we'll handle everything on this side so please... be safe"
