Chapter 79: Lucias vs Astaroth (5)

[It's time for the fourth round ladies and gentlemen!! and... OOOOH! It looks like both teams are going all out for the next round!!]

The announcer shouted as he noticed that both teams send out 4 pieces for the current round, causing the audience to cheer in excitement as the field slowly started to randomly generate.

"Ishtar... Even though I said use your noble phantasms without restrain... Please don't summon that giant cow"

"Sure..."

Ishtar answered while averting her eyes from Lucias, causing him to helplessly sigh in response.

[In combatant Lucias Frey's team! They sent out 3 [Pawns] and a [Bishop]! The same as the pieces that were sent out by combatant Astaroth!]

The announcer shouted without bothering to introduce the pieces that were sent out due to their sheer number, but Ereshkigal and Ishtar's divinity wasn't able to bypass any of the mythical gods of different realms.

[The field for this round is... A FLAT LAND!! A land without any infrastructures nor any bodies of water!! A land where both teams can fight without any restrains due to the terrain of the land!! It looks like we'll be able to watch a battle royal between both teams for this round!!]

The announcer shouted in excitement as each participants were teleported to their respective positions while the crowd cheered in excitement and anticipation for the round.

"What's the plan?"

Ereshkigal asked Skaði who was observing their opponents with narrowed eyes.

"We will split all four of them to battle one of us since we have no idea how their abilities work... But if that's not possible, support each other's back during the fight. That's it"

Skaði answered with a stoic expression on her face causing Ereshkigal to look at her with a strange expression on her face due to the straightforward plan that Skaði conducted for the round.

"It's time for our GOLDEN performance!! So let's enjoy every second of it"

Kintoki said with a large smile on his face while holding his large one-handed axe by his shoulder.

"It's amazing how carefree you 3 are about this..."

Ereshkigal muttered with a wry smile on her face before looking at the 4 cloaked demons who were staring at their direction.

"There are 3 range fighters, and one melee fighter... Kintoki-san, I'll leave that demon to you"

Skaði said while pointing her finger at the large and buffed demon holding two giant axes with his hands, wearing a bland and white mask with little to no features which completely covered his facial expressions.

"I'll leave those two to the two of you"

Skaði said towards the twin goddesses while pointing her finger at the demon with 12 blood red wings made out of crystal like feathers on his back, and another demon who held a long bow in her hands wearing a large clock that covered her curvy figure.

"I'll handle that [Bishop]"

Skaði said while staring at the little girl holding a large staff that was twice her height wearing a simple wizard robe that covered her body from neck to feet.

"Oy oy oy, are we seriously going to fight a little girl? Little girls like her should be protected, am I right? Just leave her to me, and I'll make her surrender"

Kintoki retorted causing Skaði to sign before glaring at his direction.

"Don't be too soft, Kintoki-san... They're demons who've killed thousands of innocent lives without a shed of mercy nor hesitation, so don't look down on her just because she has a body of a little girl"

Skaði advised to Kintoki before the arbiter arrived between both teams.

"Both teams get in your positions"

The arbiter urged causing Ishtar and Skaði to jump back and let the two frontliners to take the lead for the match.

"Let the match BEGIN!!!"

The arbiter shouted as he moved his arm down before completely dissapearing from the field to avoid getting caught between their crossfire due to the immense strength and power shown by the previous pieces that they sent out.

"[Boost Defense], [Boost Endurance], [Boost Strength], [Boost Magic]"

The [Bishop] immediately casted causing the bodies of her team to illuminate as several buffs were temporarily implanted on them, before she hit the ground with the butt of her staff causing several magic circuits to appear beneath her.

"[Artificial Domain]"

"[Promotion: Queen]"

All of the rooks from the enemy side stated causing their strength to spike by two folds as they all got ready to launch an attack.

"[Promotion: Queen]"

Both Ereshkigal and Ishtar stated as their bodies started to illuminate before Ishtar immediately flew to the sky causing the 12 winged demon to immediately follow her by flying at her with incredible speed.

"[Promotion: Rook]"

Kintoki stated with a large grin on his face as the one-handed axe in his hand started to release several sparks of lightning before he charged towards the large and buff [Pawn] at the front of the enemies formation.

"Ora!!"

He shouted as he swung his axe towards the large [Pawn] causing him to slash his large axe at Kintoki with all of his strength. 

As soon as their axes made contact, a powerful wind pressure was produced between them due to the incredible force contained in both of their attacks, creating a massive crater beneath their foot.

Kintoki grinned as both of them increased the strength of their grip on their axes to try and overpower the other, but was interrupted as several arrows of demonic mana rained down at Kintoki's direction.

"Don't just suddenly charge at them, Kintoki-san"

Skaði muttered tapping her feet on the ground, causing a massive wall of ice to appear between Kintoki and the [pawn]. Blocking all of the arrows, corroding the ice wall upon contact due to the demonic mana contained in each arrow.

"Thanks, Ojou-chan"

Kintoki said with a large smile on his face before imbedding more mana onto his axe, increasing the voltage and intensity of the lightning surrounding his weapon before swinging it down in front of him, causing the ground and the ice in front of him to shatter into pieces while a giant wave of electricity was launched at the [Pawn]'s direction.

The [Pawn] immediately raised his axe to his body, blocking the large wave of electricity but wasn't able to stop being electrocuted by Kintoki's attack causing him to grit his teeth while being pushed back by several kilometers.

"[High Hea-"

The [Bishop] tried to cast but was stopped by Skaði who turned the ground below her into ice before generating several spikes below the [Bishop] causing her to immediately jump to the sky to dodge her attack.

"I'm your opponent"

Skaði said with a serious expression on her face before glancing at Ereshkigal who took on the archer [Pawn] on her own, causing both teams to split up to deal with their respective opponents.

-with Ishatar-

"You're so persistent!!"

Ishtar shouted in anger as she was being chased by the winged demon above the sky before positioning her hand like a gun, and pointing her index finger at the flying demon who was chasing her from behind.

The flying demon who saw her preparing to fire a mana arrow at his direction immediately dissected the feathers of his wings causing all of it to float around him before manipulating it to form a large shield in front of him.

Ishtar then fired several arrows at his direction causing its head to pierce through the crystal feathers that were surrounding the man, but stopped before the arrows could even hit his body.

The winged demon then manipulated the floating crystal feathers around him to form a large board behind his feet to allow him to sly despite losing his wings.

"Detachable wings? There was something like that!?"

Ishtar shouted in shock before dodging several crystal features launched at her direction mid air before firing several more arrows at the demon's direction, causing him to divide the feathers below him to allow a portion of it to block every arrows aimed at his direction.

"You have no escape"

The demon muttered before jumping off the board and manipulating the feathers to form a thin yet large wings behind him as he sped up towards Ishtar who was flying away to create some distance between them.

Ishtar who saw him getting close immediately clenched her fist as she twisted her body in the air, allowing the demon to get close to her before sending a powerful kick on his head, sending him flying towards the ground, if not for his feathers who immediately caught him before he crashed on the ground.

"Nice kick"

The demon muttered with a perverted smile on his face, causing shiver to ran down her spine before firing several arrows at the man's direction, all while navigating through the air to create some distance between them.

The demon who saw her barrage of attacks manipulated the feathers around him to create a massive shield in front of him, causing the arrows to stop before it reached his body before he created a giant lance using his crystal feathers.

"[Increased Acceleration]!"

The demon casted before throwing the lance of crystallized feathers towards Ishtar at full speed causing her to shift her body around to dodge the lance with ease.

"Eh? That's it?"

Ishtar muttered in confusion as she expected for something to happen, causing the demon to grin before clenching his fist in the air, causing the lance to break down into individual pieces of crystallized feathers before it rained down at Ishatar's direction.

"Wha-"

Ishtar shouted in surprise as she watched the thousands crystallized feathers raining down at her direction, causing her to point his index finger in one of the features before firing an arrow of mana to shatter it to pieces.

"Agh!!"

Ishtar grunted in pain as one feather managed to pierce through her skin causing her blood to drip down her arm while she created a path to allow her to escape the rain of attacks.

"This guy..."

Ishtar muttered before pulling the feather from her arm and shattering it to pieces with her bare hands, causing her blood to flow down her arm as it dripped down on the grass beneath her.

"Let's play some more, Goddess-sama"

The demon muttered before creating a large whip like spear that floated from the air, preparing to barrage Ishtar with more attacks, causing her to click her tongue in frustration.

"Let's do this"

Ishtar muttered before several crystallized feathers were once again launched at her direction causing her navigate throught the air to dodge his attack but to her surprise, the feathers immediately followed her when she changed her direction.

The demon then used the remaining feathers in his location to create a small board beneath him to allow him to fly through the air while Ishtar was being chased by his feathers.

"[Rapid Fire]!!"

Ishtar casted the spell that she learned from Lucias a few days ago that increased the firing rate of her giant bow, causing thousands of mana arrows to clash and shatter each of the feathers aimed at his direction.

The demon, who's appearance was covered by the fragments and smoke produced from the clash of their projectiles, immediately charged at her direction before sending a knee to her stomach.

"Ugh!"

Ishtar grunted in pain as she twisted her body, kicking him by the face as several feathers suddenly came out of his back, piercing through her skin before she recieved a powerful punch at her stomach. Sending her flying at Skaði's direction.

Skaði who saw her body immediately erected a large curved tower of ice to catch and redirect the force of her fall while creating a ice barrier to block the beams of mana launched by the [Bishop].

"It's not time for you to faint like this, Ishtar-san"

Skaði muttered as she used her thin and short wand to write a primordial rune on Ishtar's body, healing her every wound as it replenished her stamina and magic.

"Tch"

The winged demon clicked his tongue in annoyance before thousands of crystallized feathers came out of his back, launching it at Skaði's direction while the [Bishop] launched blood red flames at her direction.

"Hmmm"

Skaði hummed as she tapped her feet on the ground, causing a giant dome of ice to surround their direction, blocking all of the attacks before it shattered to pieces as it couldn't handle the power of both attacks.

"Ishtar-san. I can't handle both of them myself so please do your job"

Skaði whispered towards Ishtar before she wrote a primordial rune for teleportation on her body, causing her to suddenly teleport behind the winged demon's back which caught both her and the demon by surprise.

"Take this!!"

Ishtar shouted as soon as she managed to control her shock, launching several arrows at his direction, causing him to recall her feathers and parry all of her attack.

Several sparks and fragments fell down from the sky as their attacks made contact, causing countless fragments to rain down on the ground as Ishtar suddenly charged at the winged demons direction, spinning her body around to generate enough acceleration before launching at kick at his abdomen while his feathers were busy blocking her arrows.

The demon bit his lip in pain due to the immense power contained in her kick because of the large disparity in their status before his body was launched a few kilometers away as his feathers caught him from behind.

"This bitch"

He cursed as he got ready to charge at Ishtar's direction, but froze when a mettalic pole covered with ominous blood red mana pierced his thigh, causing him to scream in pain before falling on to the ground.

"Eresh, Good Job!!"

Ishtar shouted towards Ereshkigal who erected a large mana cage around them, creating a wide ring that electrocuted the archer [Pawn] when she tried to escape.

Ereshkigal who heard her words of praise blushed before she spun her large spear up in the air, creating large sparks of electricity on her spear before bringing it onto the ground, causing a pillar of vicous mana to come out of the ground and assult the archer [Pawn].

She archer then tried to jump back to dodge Ereshkigal's attack but was hit by the mana cages erected by Ereshkigal around them, causing the cages to electrocute her body with the mana inside the cages.

"You bitch!! I'll kill you!!"

The winged demon shouted in anger as he created a whip like spear with the use of his crystallized feathers and launching it at Ishtar's direction, causing her to cast [Rapid Fire] once again, launching several arrows of concentrated mana at the feathers.

The winged demon who saw the barrage of attack immediately manipulated his feathers to form a giant plate in front of him, blocking each and every one of Ishtar's attack before he dissected it to individual pieces, and fired it at Ishtar's direction.

Ishtar immediately created several beams of contrated mana behind her to block each of his attack before firing a more powerful beam of mana at the demon's direction, causing him to manipulate his feathers to move him out of the trajectory of the attack.

"Hahaha you're only wasting your mana if you even can't hit me, idiot!!"

The demon provoked causing Ishtar to frown as she launched several beams of concentrated mana at his direction while flying towards him at incredible speed.

"Idiot"

The demon muttered with a large smirk on his face as he stretched out his hand on the air, causing curved shield to form in front of him, blocking each and every one of Ishtar's attack before shattering to pieces as it couldn't hold on to the powerful burst of mana that formed upon contact.

"I got you now!!"

Ishtar shouted as she arrived on top of the demon holding a giant war hammer made out of mettalic serpants in her hands before smashing it at the demon's head, causing him to crash on the ground at immense force and speed, creating a massive crater on the grassland.

"[Gugalanna Strike]!!"

Ishtar shouted while pointing her open palm at the sky, causing Ereshkigal to frown due to her stupid decision of summoning the "Bull of Heaven" in a simple match like this.

"What are you doing!?"

Ereshkigal shouted as she launched several mettalic poles covered in her mana towards the archer [Pawn], causing Ishtar to grin in response.

"Oh!! A GOLDEN BULL!!"

Kintoki shouted in excitement as the clouds made way for the giant bull as it slowly descendes down the heaven.

"... It's a bad idea to let her use my mana like this..."

Lucias said in a tired and helpless voice while the audience stared at the projection in shock, especially the mythological gods of Mesopotamia which all recognized the golden bull that was descending from the sky.

"T-The bull of heaven!? H-How!?"

One of the gods shouted in terror and shock as all of them stood up from their seat from seeing such a terrifying beasts that supposedly only existed in the past.

"... I knew I told her that I summoned her along with that golden cow but... I didn't tell her to use it as she likes... Is she planning to kill her own allies?"

Lucias muttered as he cut off the mana that he was supplying Ishtar, causing the summoning process to stop halfway as the bull disintegrated in the air.

"Hmph! Feast your eyes upon... W-Wait why is it dissapearing!?"

Ishtar shouted in a frantic voice as the bull of heaven slowly dissapeared in place with a panicked expression on her face before being bombarded by thousands of crystallized feathers from below.

"That idiot..."

Ereshkigal muttered as she jumped into the air to dodge the powerful arrow aimed at her direction before taking out a bell from her pockets.

"This is the end"

Ereshkigal muttered with a victorious smile on her face as several mana cages surrounded the archer [Pawns] direction, limiting her movements before she rung the bell on her hand.

Suddenly a giant and dark creatures made out of demonic mana come out of the ground to swallow the pawn whole, but to her surprise the [Pawn] immediately jumped and avoided the creature's mouth as she climbed out of the mana cages with its body.

The pawn then pointed the her arrow at the monster's eyes before firing a powerful and large concentrated mana arrow that pierced through its entire body, causing it to shreek in agony before falling on the ground, causing the mana cages to pierce through its body, giving the demon a place to stand at without getting trapped by the cages.

The pawn then immediately fired several arrows of mana at incredible pace and speed at Ereshkigal's direction causing Ereshkigal to spin her spear in front of her to block each on of the arrows, but failed as the arrows flew around the range of the spears before each arrow pierced through her body, causing her to bite her lip in pain as she resisted on falling down to the ground.

"You-"

The archer [Pawn] tried to say but was cut off as a giant shard of ice fell down on her body causing her to reflexively dodge but was only by a one-handed axe clad in lightning, causing her body to get roughly sliced into two before the giant shared above her pierced through her third eye and down through her crotch, killing her in an instant.

[Combantant Diodora Astaroth's [Pawn] retires]

The arbiter announced causing the crowd to cheer in response before Kintoki recieved a powerful slash at his stomach sending him flying several kilometers away from them.

"Don't celebrate too early, humans"

The larged and buff demon warned as the giant wound on his body slowly regenerated causing both Ereshkigal and Skaði to assume a defensive posture.

"M-Move out of the way!!!"

Ishtar shouted as her bloodied body covered in deep lacerations and crystallized feathers fell on the corpse of the creature, causing her to scream in pain as the feathers sliced more of her flesh due to the sudden movement produced by her crash.

"Ouch..."

Ishtar growled in pain, causing Skaði to immediately inscribe a rune on both Ereshkigal and Ishtar's body to heal their wounds.

"[Hellfire Incineration]!!!"

The [Bishop] casted, launching black flames at their direction as it burned everything in its trajectory causing Skaði to enscribe a rune on the ground, causing a massive enhanced wall of ice to appear in front of them, blocking the hellfire aimed at their direction while Skaði extended the ice to control the trajectory of the spell.

"Die!!"

The large and buffed demon shouted as he swung the giant two handed axe towards them, causing Skaði to immediately erect a dome of ice around them to block his attack and to protect the two goddesses beside her.

Ishtar who got back to her feet summoned her giant bow beside her while aiming her index finger at the direction of the demon who was smashing the dome to pieces. Her mana started to condense on her bow as she squeezed out the remaining bit of her strength, before firing it at the demon outside the dome.

The demon recieved the concentrated beam of mana head on with his body, causing him to crash against the grass a few hundred meters away from them while holding his stomach in both pain and anger.

"[Blood Enhancement]!"

The giant demon shouted in anger as he charged at Ishtar's direction with a vicious expression on his face, but was stopped as a large one-handed axed smashed his head to the ground at full force.

"The Golden King is not done yet!!"

Kintoki stated with blood visible on his mouth and tattered clothes, while his sunglasses had several cracks visible on it's corner from recieving several attacks from fighting with the large demon.

"Let's go with a flash!"

Kintoki shouted as he raised the giant one-handed axe up in the air as powerful lightning devoured the entire axe causing Kintoki to widely grin at his opponent who was struggling to break free from his feet.

"Blow away. Knock them out! [GOLDEN SPARK]!!"

Kintoki casted as he brought down his axe at the man, causing a massive explosion of lightning to generate in their location as a massive crater was created around them that span for more than a kilometer radius.

The demon who received the attack headon, felt his body getting smashed into mush as the lighting electrocuted his smashed body causing him to scream before grabbing Kintoki's leg and throwing his body on the ground beside him.

"Fucking Bastard"

The large man said before smashing Kintoki's body on the ground repeatedly with all of his strength before throwing him away at full force.

"[Gigantification]!!"

The large [pawn] casted causing his muscles to explode and expand on her body as a powerful wave of mana surrounded his location, alerting the other 3 servants who were fighting far away from his location.

"I'll crush you all!"

The demon shouted in anger as his body started to enlarge, reaching a height of 10 Kilometers and still kept growing causing Skaði to frown as she signalled for the two goddesses to distract the two demons from interrupting her.

Ishtar nodded her head in response as she fired several beams of mana towards the winged demon, causing him to immediately fire his own attack to parry hers but was caught in surprise when a massive warhammer hit his stomach, sending him flying a few hundred meters away from their location.

She then chased after him with her large bow following her from behind, allowing her to launch a more powerful beam of concentrated mana towards her opponents.

Ereshkigal on the otherhand buried her spear on the ground, summoning several cages of mana that electrocuted the [Bishop]'s body, causing the [Bishop] to immediately jump back to get out of the mana cage's range. Achieving the distance that both her and Ishtar aimed for.

"[O power that is tied to my name.

Answer me and open the gate.

Come, my castle...my castle of shadows]"

Skaði started to chant as her body slowly floated above the air, alarming all 3 pieces from the enemy's side as they tried to launch an attack at her direction.

"Taste my [Golden Spark]!!"

Kintoki casted as he hit the giant's foot at full force, causing it to fall to the ground, preventing him from stopping Skaði from chanting.

The winged demon tried to charge at Skaði's direction but was cornered as dozens of mana beams were showered at his location, limiting his ability to move freely as he wishes.

"[Gate of Skye]!"

Skaði casted causing the clouds to open as a large and majestic gateway and castle came down from the sky, giving all 4 of them with countless blessing and luck that boosted all of their status as Skadi slowly descended down from the sky.

"Come, and bring Master victory. My white castle"

Skaði muttered while the giant slowly got off the ground, causing Kintoki to click his tongue before running towards the 3 servant's direction.

Ishtar on the otherhand was finally able to overwhelm her opponent due to the incredible buffs that Skaði gave them, increasing the power of her mana beams without the need to concentrate more of her mana to increace the attack's power.

"You!"

The winged demon shouted in frustration before he disassemble his feathers and launching all of them at Ishtar's direction causing Ishtar to frown as she got ready to counter each and every feathers in the sky.

"Weakling"

Skaði muttered as she finished inscribing a powerful rune at the winged demon's chest without his knowledge, causing cold and hard ice to explode within his body, ripping him to shred as nothing was left behind but his head and limbs which was slowly regenerating back to its peak.

"Give me a boost!!"

Kintoki shouted towards Ishtar who immediately lifted him up the ground in an awkward position before throwing his body at full force towards the giant's face.

"Blow them away!! [GOLDEN SPARK]!"

Kintoki said as soon as he landed on his face before swinging his axe down at the giant's cheek, causing his head to propell backwards due to the force contained in Kintoki's attack.

The giant then failed to retain its balance, causing his body to fall on the ground as Kintoki climbed up to his head, and smashed his face multiple times with his axe.

"Ora! Ora!"

Kintoki shouted as the sound of powerful lightning strikes devoured the entire field while a large portion of the grass field died due to their fight.

"Ereshkigal!!"

Ishtar shouted towards her sister who nodded her head in response before burying the blade of her spear to the ground as giant walls of mud and soil were erected around their enemies, causing Skaði to smile as she tapped her foot to the ground, creating a massive cylindrical cage around the [pawn] and [bishop].

"[Golem Creation]!!"

The [Bishop] casted, causing the ground to slightly shake as hundreds of 10 meter golems were created using the soil of the field, causing Skaði to enhance and enlarge the ice surrounding their enemies to prevent them from breaking free as both Ereshkigal and Ishtar started casting their spells.

"[A vast sea in the heavens... and a prison upon the land....

My heel is the wrath of Kur itself!

Appear, O scorching shrine!

Reflect upon your behavior...]

Ereshkigal chanted as she spun her large spear above her head, causing large sparks of electricity to come out of the spear as it slowly concentrated her and Lucias mana to use her noble phantasm.

"[Fly, Maanna! Gate Open!]"

Ishtar casted causing a giant dimensional gate connecting to the outer space close to Venus to open above the sky.

"W-What the..."

Issei muttered in shock while staring at the beautiful woman floating in the sky, pull out a planet from her dimensional gate like it was nothing.

"V-Venus!?"

Rias shouted as she stood up from her seat like the entire audience who stood up in shock from such a shocking spectacle in front of them

"[Annihilate them!]"

Ishtar continued as the planet Venus started to descend down from the gate before Ishtar created a duplicate copy of Venus in her hands, in the size that was enough to fit in her bow.

"Behold and witness our full strength!"

Both of them shouted as extreme concentration of mana surrounded their direction

"[Kur Ki Gal Irkalla]!!!"

Ereshkigal shouted as she brough her spear down to the ground, causing the ground to shatter as powerful leaks of vicious mana came out of the ground, before completely collapsing and exploding around their enemies, disintegrating the golems into ashes while the [Bishop] and [Pawn] struggled to keep themselves alive as the pillars of mana burned their bodies to crisp.

"[An Gal Ta Ki Gal Šè]!!"

Ishtar shouted as she fired the mini duplicate of Venus towards the enemy pieces, enhancing the destruction produced by Ereshkigal's attack as a massive explosion that destroyed the entire field erupted, burning everything to dust.

"Oy oy oy! We're a team why are you trying to kill me too?"

Kintoki shouted as he placed the unconscious body of the giant in front of him to shield himself from the intense heat and explosion produced by the twin goddesses combined attacks.

"... Were going to get in trouble for this..."

Skaði muttered while glancing at the devastated field that was once a beautiful flat land, but now was a desolate field that was burned and destroyed by the twin goddesses who were proudly smiling.

"Phew, we got carried hardcore by Skaði this round"

Kintoki said before throwing the chared body of the giant to his side, observing the devastated land with a large grin on his face.
