Libraries And Books 3

The Darkness had dispersed and light shone in from the windows which he found strange as the windows were high up.He looks around and notices the difference in the floor as they were not made of marble but of hard stones, then the stacks of books that rose high in the and would need a ladder and even a stick to be able reach the books at the top.He looks up at the ceiling that seemed endless and long.

"Where am I?"

He questions himself and decides to out around the place that seemed huge and unfamiliar yet familiar to him.He strolled along the narrow paths between the shelves of books that rose high in the air making him seem like a Dwarf deciding to to keep his hands to himself as, he didn't want to be zapped into another unknown place. He searches his pocket and pulls out his phone to check the time but Realizes it to be of no use as,it wouldn't match where ever place he was in and truly it didn't as network communication wasn't even available.Deciding to stick to his instincts, he turns on the camera and begins to take photos and was glad at least he had something to prove that he Wasn't dreaming. At a point, he got tired and started going through the books on the shelves. He picked the first book and flipped through, not finding anything of interest, he stuffs it back and pulls out another one from the upper shelf. He picked out three other books randomly and ended up placing them back as they were either too boring or he did not understand what they were talking about.Moving out of the row, he moved unto another and kept looking around for something that would catch his interest. After a while, he decides to lean on one of the shelves and rest for a while before deciding where else he needed to explore.Leaning on the wooden shelf, he kept turning his body when a book which had not been placed properly and was instead lying horizontally on the other books slips down and falls on him, startling him before hitting the floor.

Ellen helps and quickly bends down to pick up the book making sure that no one heard the sound of the book hitting the floor. He cleans the dust from the surface of the book and looks up trying to find out where the book dropped from.At that same time, footsteps emerges from the other side heading towards the direction he was in. Panic drips into him and without bothering to drop the book, rushes away and slips into another row hoping for the person to walk by without being caught. At least the shelves were high and stacked full with books giving him a temporary hide out.As the footsteps passes by him, he peeks out from his hiding place and sees a young man around his age grade with red hair that stopped at his nape and dressed in a long black cloak that swept the floor. He held something in his hand which he couldn't see as he could only view his back.He looked on as walked to the end of the row and stops in front of the wall placing his hand on it before walking through like it was just empty space.

"An invisible passage!"

Ellen mutters to himself waits for five seconds to confirm that no other person was approaching before slipping out and walking towards the wall. Standing in front of it, he places his palm carefully on the wall and feels it vanish beneath his hand then steps through it into an empty and dark corridor. He looks Forwards then Backwards and wondered where the red haired guy went to.As his eyes adjust to the darkness, he sees a flicker if light in front and he walks towards it making sure to warp his footsteps so as not to be head.Turning a bend, he sees a candle that was lit on a stand burning slowly and illuminating the passage faintly with its minimum amount of light. The corridor was chilly and Ellen who wore a polo on a jean felt cold creeping up his spine. He stuffs the book he had been holding in his hand into his bag and places his hands on the fame of the candle rubbing it together. From the minimum of the candle, he could see the stone walls and faint diagrams epicted on it that made him wonder if he Was currently inside an unknown castle.

Wondering why the corridor was dark as it was clearly daytime and the library had been very bright.Thinking if he willingly stepped into a trap, he begins to walk forward and look around when he hears whispers like people discussing in low tones, he stops and leans on the wall trying to catch where the voices were coming from when the wall suddenly way and he falls into another space.
