Sophia

Mason wakes up when he heard his phone rings. He got up silently and covered the woman beside him in his blanket before grabbing his phone and walked to his balcony.

Closing the balcony door, he slides his hands on the phone before putting it on his ear.

“What did you find?” His voice was icy cold.

“The Black Rose Gang Leader will be engaged with the daughter of the Black River Gang.”

Mason’s eyes darkened when he heard this.

“Anything else?”

The person on the other side of the phone sweated profusely when he heard his boss voice had turned colder and colder by a second.

He takes a few deep breaths before he finally opened his mouth, “Boss...there...there was...a...a...rumour saying that...that-”

“Speak clearly!” Mason subconsciously slammed his fist on the table beside him.

“It was rumoured that Eric Gray wanted to combine the group together to become stronger.” The person on the phone immediately told him all this in one breath.

“Do you think I’m interested in the rumour?” Mason clenched his teeth.

“B-boss! I will investigate more thoroughly this time!”

Mason turned the phone off and stared at the darkness of night.

His thoughts wandered.

Is it possible that Keith is being forced in a marriage alliance?

Mason curled his lips in a frown.

Why would Keith listen to his father?

Why did Eric Gray change his mind about the marriage between Keith and Valentina?

A flash appeared in Mason’s eyes.

Is it possible that Eric Gray wants to expand his territory?

It wasn’t enough that they controlled the country’s movement. It seems like Eric also want to take over the other gangs?

A deep hatred planted its seed deep in Mason’s heart. If Eric is the reason Keith and Vale are separated, he will be his enemy.

It seems like Eric’s greedy nature had always been hidden all this year. He had been waiting for the perfect opportunity to trap more fish into his net.

The Black River is 2nd most powerful gang in the country after the Black Rose. Combining them together was a powerful and dangerous combination.

Mason rubbed his forehead.

This doesn’t add up at all.

He needs more information.

He too had fallen in love. So, he recognizes the looks in Keith’s eyes every time he looks at Valentina.

He would die for her!

Why would Valentina said that she wanted to break up with him?

“Mason?” A soft feminine voice called his names out, disrupting his thoughts.

“Sophia,”

Mason approached her figure at the balcony door.

She’s wearing his shirt with a sleepy look on her face.

“Did I wake you?” Mason asked as he pulls her inside and closed the balcony door.

How long had she been standing there?

Mason frowned at his thoughts. Sophia wouldn’t eavesdrop on him, right?

“No, but I felt cold.” Sophia answered.

Mason’s eyes darkened when he heard this.

With a slight push, Maggie falls down on the bed with a soft gasp.

“Mason-”

She was about to sit up when his body pressed down on her.

Seeing the looks on his eyes, Sophia shivered.

“Didn’t you said that you are cold? Let me warm you up.” Mason smirked devilishly before his mouth descended on hers.

Waking up, Sophia felt that her body was hit by a truck. She grimaced as she sat up, blinking her eyes a few times to adjust to the darkness.

After her sleepiness fades away, she slowly got up and bent down to find her scattered clothes on the floor.

Gritting her teeth, she looked at the man on the bed with fury in her eyes.

What a beast!

He didn’t even give her any chance to rest last night. Did he think her body was a robot that could be used repeatedly without getting tired?

He clearly knows that she had works to do in the next day.

After making sure that she was fully dressed, she gave Mason one last look before pushing her hair behind her, “Humph!”

She turns around and walks towards his door, poking her head out. She glanced right and left, making sure that the corridor was completely empty before rushing out of his bedroom.

Trying her best to be as quiet as possible, she ran towards her room downstairs.

Inside her room, she takes off her maid uniforms before rushing towards the bathroom to clean herself off.

She stands under the water before she slowly turned around. The light reflected on the bathroom tiles shows an ambiguous figure.

Seeing the bite marks on her neck, she gritted her teeth and pinched the shampoo in her hand, treating it as Mason.

A large portion of liquid pour out of the bottle and fall down the floor. Realizing her mistake, Maggie let go of the shampoo bottle and put the liquid in her hands onto her hair.

Immediately after, a small ‘dong!’ sound echoed inside her room. Startling even Maggie herself.

She hurriedly bends down to pick the shampoo. At the same time, water mixed with her shampoo’s liquid slid down from her head to her eyes.

Instinctively, she closed her eyes and put her face under the showers.

Cursing, she truly felt that her life had been so unlucky ever since she meets Mason Rodriguez.

FLASHBACK

“Apologize!”

The man looked at the woman as if he was looking at a crazy person. His eyebrows furrowed.

The subordinates behind him could only swallow their saliva and looked at the woman pitifully.

“Who are you?” he asked calmly.

“Who am I is not important! The important thing is that you bumped into me, causing my tray to fall down and the glass is broken. Do you know that you have delayed my work here?”

The woman who was wearing a waitress uniform looked at the man in front of her full of dissatisfaction.

Not only did he collided with her, but he also didn’t turn around to look at her to apologize.

The man glanced at his subordinates and asked, “Who is this woman? Why didn’t I know her?”

Immediately after, the manager of the place was called out by his subordinates.

Upon seeing the man along with his subordinates, his legs trembled as he anxiously walks towards them.

“Boss!” He bowed politely.

“How did you manage this place? Why is an unqualified person working here?” he glanced at the woman who had her hands on her hips as he asked this.

Looking at the woman and the broken glass on the floor, the manager immediately understood.

“Sophia, you’re fired!”

The woman had a stupefied look on her face.

“W..what?”

There was a puzzled look on her face.

Isn’t it this man’s fault just now? Why is she fired?

“You still don’t understand? This place is owned by him, Mason Rodriguez!”

The manager had a grim look on his face.

Upon hearing that she had argued with the owner of the bar, Sophia felt her body going limp.

With a guilty look, she glanced at Mason. However, she was unwilling to let go of this matter.

No matter what, this man clearly bumped into her first.

He still needs to apologize to her!
