Guardian of the forest
I readied myself as best as possible for the eventual arrival of said by checking out the last skill I learned.
This one had more handseals than the one that the anime had shown. 8 more to be exact and the chakra cost is a bit bigger than you'll expect. Of course damage is good but going through 9 handseals isn't good in battle. Yet that damage may be needed here.
Katon: Goryuka LVL 3/50: By compressing a large amount of fire-natured chakra in the body and then shaping it to resemble a dragon's head you can shoot out a fire ball with a dragon head attached to it. Even outside of its attack range the reliability and general power are stressed. Rank B Handseals: Dragon - Boar - Dragon - Dog - Tiger - Monkey - Hare - Dragon - Tiger. Costs 450 chakra dealing 225 damage and a chance to deal 270 on a direct hit.
Reviewing the B Ranked Jutsu properly I let my orbs turn crimson as I felt the presence become closer. Probably within 50 meters at this point. The fact that I could faintly see it now through small tints of green in the distance that seemed quite massive. If I had to state something about this then it would be that this was the perfect opportunity to gather information.
My target seemed unique. Green chakra. Whist I knew that chakra could be in different colours other than blue though it was typically in shades of it. Lighter blue or Azure and Sapphire blue were common examples. For the rabbits most of them possessed a tinted form of it and the bears had a slightly reddish or yellowish tint paired with the blue was on them. Other ways of chakra being a different colour was Uchiha with the genetics that allowed them to awaken Sharingan and further.
But this was purely green and I was certain it wasn't human meaning that it was a unique creature.
Was this true for all bosses? At least that's what this creature seemed to be.
Based off of it's signature's shape it was a rabbit based creature just much bigger in size. About the size of myself currently.
There was a lack of information I held but I could infer that the creature was fast based off of it's shape and probably held that skill as well.
The thing was now within eyesight distance with my enhance perception from the Sharingan. It had dark brown fur and emerald eyes with ears dyed red. The creature was fast as my hand's moved to start the 9 handseal sequence was imaging the dragon shaped fireball in my head. It possessed sharpened claws for both it's hands and feet. It's legs also seemed to contain quite a bit of muscle.
I finished the seals and launched the attack causing a dragon shaped fireball to be exhaled from my mouth as it flew forwards towards the target at incredible speeds I jumped into the trees and began running towards the target.
I heard it yell out in pain with a guttural roar but quickly stopped as it disappeared creating an afterimage as I saw it fly towards myself except it was heading to where I just was. I saw the fire in the trees right before I turned around as the creature discovered I wasn't there any longer.
'Katon: Goryuka.' I thought as I performed another one. As the technique hit my hands were already blurring into another one to hit the creature once more though the attack grazed it as it disappeared an electrified claw made it's way across my arm that immediately blocked the attack. Quickly I dodged out of the way of another strike from the creature noting it's lightning claw ability in my mind.
I parried another blow and countered jabbing my fingers in it's right arm's elbow hitting it in a pressure point. Then using my other hand I delivered a lightning fast punch to it's sternum or at least where I believe it would be.
The creature seemed in pain but was otherwise thing.
It quickly hit back using a right kick which took off about 8% of my health instantly and sent me flying backwards into a tree or 2. I couldn't tell as I was slightly dazed from the impact of the attack. Either way the creature dashed towards me using it's claw of lightning it struck downwards meeting my now unsheathed Bokuto. I forced it's claws away before placing a strong kick on it's large stomach followed by a quick slash from my Bokuto.
Whilst it was distracted I sprung backwards hurling a few lightning enhanced Shurikens it's way as I began a process of Handseals after sheathing my wooded weapon.
"Raiton: Raikousou!" I exclaimed as it was thrown straight into the creatures skin around it's foot when it attempted to dodge. At this point the creature must've been pissed as it decided that enough was enough.
The creature spoke it's voice was deep and low.
"Shugo Inazuma."
The words were stated before a massive wave of blasting lightning that I hadn't been afforded the time to dodge before it collided with me. The result was instant as I felt a sharp extremely sharp pain all over my body as I was sent soaring crashing into several trees along the way. Right when my body impacted the 10th tree I started slowing down with my vision not being blinded by the massive light it created.
"Impressive you survived that. I would welcome you to my domain but you are a threat to my forest."
"So you're the Guardian of this forest?" A rhetorical question.
"Indeed I am. You are very unique though no maybe an enigma fits better. Your chakra doesn't belong on this planet does it?"
"I was born here." I stated looking the creature in it's eyes. I may not have had proper tutelage in it yet but I had a few ideas for how it worked. "Though I am indeed unique." I conjured an image of the brain in my mind picking out parts of it that control sleepiness then I funneled chakra through my eyes. It was a minuscule amount but the idea of this Genjutsu was to simply tire the creature.
It seemed to have worked.
The Guardian seemed dizzy, tuckered out and exhausted before it looked at me in realization. It rid itself of the Genjutsu before speaking.
"Interesting if that was more subtle I wouldn't have noticed it."
When it stopped however it was met with a dragon shaped fireball to the face causing scorch marks to appear over it's body.
"It doesn't matter now anyway's. I just want to finish this." I stated going through handseals.
"So you want to end this now. So be it. As lovely as a conversation this was."
"Katon: Gokyaku no Jutsu." I stated in my head as I used the flamethrower variant for the first time.
"Shugo Inazuma."
Fire natured chakra met lightning natured chakra as the fireball shaped flamethrower met the Guardians lightning in a ferocious clash. I used the maximum amount of chakra possible this time around and had kept my technique up. Light beamed from the center blinding me partially. But I did not give way. My chakra was being used up but not quickly. I had used up a lot of it but I could hold onto this for a while.
The Lightning started being pushed back slowly as I focused greatly. I pushed ahead a bit more but the lightning from the Shugo Inazuma pushed back but not getting the lead. It pushed forward but it was brought back to a standstill as I considered what I could do in this situation.
Modifying the technique on the spot should be one of the main options I had right now. The problem with that would be the difficulty of changing the technique whilst using the technique being modified itself. And then you look at the options I had for modifying the technique in a way that benefitted me in this moment and everything get's fuzzier.
Adding more chakra would work problem is my control over it meant that I'd be leaving myself vulnerable to Chakra exhaustion and more. Unless I ate one of the chakra pills of course but I'd rather not use them right now.
Changing the properties of it could work.
Condensing the flamethrower would make it more of a focused flame then a sporadic unfocused one. This would work because the energy being used to generate the flame would be more concentrated thus increasing the intensity of the flames from my attack.
This works because fire when it is bigger uses more energy to keep that flame active and then you have oxygen problems with the large ones as well. And the oxygen isn't being used to generate such a large flame instead it is used to generate a hotter flame.
I think the best representation of what a condensed flame can do over a larger one is something similar to Bakugo's AP shot in BNHA. Though his quirk is Explosion it does seem top generate a fire like explosion. By concentrating his Explosion and condensing it he can create an explosion like shot that can pierce through walls.
Something similar can be done with fire though not as effective.
The third would the method that potentially gives me the Goka mekkyakyu. Make it much much bigger via well added chakra to fuel the techniques size. This wouldn't really work right now though. Bigger area of effect techniques only work when I fight multiple opponents and although the Great fire annihilation technique works due to how potent it is I require something more viable.
The 2nd option works best here but only when paired with the first option.
I began slowly funnel more chakra into the technique fueling it further but instead of it growing I used what little control I held to condense the fire even slightly as I conjured the image of a small flamethrower of immensely intensified and concentrated heat.
Then I manipulated the shape of the fire to be smaller thinner again. the flamethrower once twice the size of my body become half the size of my body the compressed form of it started to push forwards against the Shugo Inazuma. The lightning was overpowered slowly but steadily as the name of my brand new technique was cultivated in my mind.
Rekka Fusha translating to Inferno Jet. Simple yes but it does fit this new variant of the technique perfectly. Though the technique was not completed though.
Infusing a bit more chakra into it I made sure it kept it's shape as the flames grew stronger and more powerful. This was a bit better. The technique this time finally started pushing back further against the Lightning stream before the stream of lightning vanished suddenly.
What? The question appeared in my mind before the logical conclusion appeared. No chakra left to fuel the technique further. And the result of that happening caused my condensed flame to burn through the creatures stomach creating a hole in the middle part of it that looked quite big. I took the chance and cancelled my variant of the technique causing it to enlarge and spread the damage as it slowly slowed as I removed my chakra from fueling the technique.
The creature covered in scorch marks, a singular hole and other things still seemed alive though not for long. If my fire Jutsu didn't cauterize their wounds the creature wouldn't have held on for this long.
"Any last words Guardian?" I asked after walking to it's weakened state out of compassion more than anything else honestly.
"You managed to defeat me and bring me to this state and now you're looking at me with such eyes. You're stronger then I was that would be what I want to say but now I can say with utmost certainty that you are the right choice for this task. Listen to me kid I lived a life of regrets, a life of uncertainties and to a degree a life where I had no choice in what I became in the end. Kid don't live a life like my own make decisions you will not regret make decisions with complete certainty and make sure you choose who you want to be. I give you this advice as somebody who enjoys seeing youth grow and evolve." The creature started coughing as I looked down locking eyes with it.
"I will promise you that I will live my life according to my own principles." I stated confidently.
"That's good." The creatures eyes closed as a smile spread on it's features before taking it's last breath. I didn't know how I felt in this situation as finally the textbox appeared in front of me.

Everything came at me at once as I walked forwards finding myself using the new Rekka Fusha to create a hole in which I can put the Guardian's body in. It was quick and efficient as I then turned away.
"Now then let's get to that dungeon chest." I thought out loud.
Fortunately I didn't need to look far as the chest was up on a gigantic sized tree that looked to be the home of the Usagami. It had a singular chest that was looked but quickly opened revealing a few items in there.

The Tsuki no Chokuto looked like quite elegant from the Hilt to the blade with white moon like patterns dancing around the blade with the bottom of the hilt with the blade being formed of a refined highly receptive chakra metal. The weapon was powerful also based off of it's description in my inventory. The weapon was formed out of a metal that came from a meteorite getting it's name from that.
