Lunch

The meeting was taking forever, my dad the Alpha King has called all of the packs to our territory to get an update on the rogue attacks that have been happening over the last six months. The news has not been good, it turns out that they seem to be looking for someone or something. No one knows for sure what's going on but the alpha's tell us everything they have learned from the rogues they have managed to capture. So far our pack has not been hit but we are prepared for it when it happens. Now dad wants to help the other packs. He decides to take fifty hunters and trackers from each pack and for the next three days we are going to train them in our battle tactics so they can in turn go home and train their own people. Once it is all decided the meeting breaks up. Since the training doesn't start till tomorrow me and my friends decide to go to town and get lunch.

Once we finished the alpha meeting Eric, Steve and I decided to have our lunch. in town at our favorite restaurant so We head into town. We love Hog Wild because they do a lot of meat, and as wolves we eat a lot of meat. I would eat here everyday if I could. Once lunch is finished Eric says he wants dessert, he say's a new bakery opened up down the road and should go check it out, so we agreed to check it out. After a minute of looking for it we started walking down the block to the bakery.

As we walk through the door of the bakery I look at the line of people, Eric hits me on the shoulder and say," Look man the line is long they must have good sweets here. Let's get in line I want to try everything man."

I start laughing but we go get in line. As we get near the counter the guys are craning their necks to see what is in the cases. I on the other hand am looking at the cashier. The first thing I notice is her beautiful smile. Then I see her sparkling blue eyes. She is a bit in the small side but that's okay with me. I see how nice she is and can't wait to talk to her. Will she be that nice to me?

Once we finally make it to the counter the guys eyes get so big. It was like two kids in a candy store, or should I say bakery. Their eyes were as big as saucers. Eric was honest when he said he was going to order everything. I had to laugh as Eric and Steve ordered a minimum of one of everything and more of others.

The cashier laughed as she boxed everything they asked for. To me her voice as she laughed sounded like bells. I had to smile at it. It reminded me of the way they acted at Christmas when we were kids.

Once everything is boxed and bagged I step forward to pay for everything. Once she finishes ringing things up she looks up at me with that beautiful smile and says," Well honey the total is 146.58. With that be cash or card?" At first I am in shock, I'm not sure if it's the total or the strange feeling I get from her. I grab my wallet and give her my card. Once it's cleared and I sign the receipt the guys grab the bags and head out the door. As I am walking to the door I see the owner, I walk up to her and hug her."Good afternoon aunt how are you today?"

"Good since you and the boys came in. How are you doing? Do we know why we are being attacked?"

"Well. from what we were told the rogues are looking for something or someone and they are attacking the packs to find it. So dad has the training set to start tomorrow and me and the guys are doing the training, so we thought we would have a day of fun before the work really starts. I didn't know you opened a new store, congratulations. Listen your cashier who is she?"

"Her name is Isabelle, she goes by Izzy. She will be eighteen soon, next week as a matter of fact

She is a human orphan. She did find out that she could be sick today so don't get attached ok."

"What do you mean could be? I don't think she is human. I might not have a choice about getting attached. I feel a pulling toward her. It's like I'm drowning in sunshine when she talks to me. I'm wondering if that's the mate bond forming or something else?"

"Her doctor said she might have cancer. She will know for sure next week. What do you mean she's not human? How can you tell? I have reached out in different ways and she has not responded."

"Well I guess we will wait till next week to get our answers for everything. But I have to get back now so keep me informed please."

"Of course, I will call you as soon as I know more. Good luck with the training."

"Thank you aunty can't wait to hear from you.

If you have a party for her invite me please I would like to get to know her."

After I hug my aunt I head out to see where the guys are then we head back to the pack house.
