Chapter 65: How I Met His Mother?

Lee is massaging his head, he was not expecting things to be like this. After taking some time of to his work he was already planning to have his week off with just Dexter and Lexter but the he forgot about Nicolas and Zay which for him is not that big of a deal but when one of his friends showed up again to ask for a favor that's what push Lee to his limit which gave him this head ache. Two days ago Derrek came with Drake with him and since his friend can't come home just yet to his family decided to stay in his home together with Drake for the mean time which for Lee being the kind of friend who can't say no agreed immidiately but the valuable time he was planning was stolen by his friends partners when Dexter is constantly being snatched away by both Nick and Drake.

"Why the long face?" Nicolas asked the moment he say Lee. "You look like someone who carries the weight of the world." Nicolas added mockingly.

"Don't play smart with me Nick just because you are happily married you get to say those horrible jokes again on me." Lee just sneered at him he sat beside Dexter.

"Hey honey don't you want to go with me? I'm getting lonely here. Leave those two fools and comfort your honey please?" Lee lean and whispered to his ears, words that can be overhead by other people in the room.

"What's the point of you whispering when we can totally hear what you're saying idiot!" Nicolas complained. "And what happily married? What's so happy about when you can't even be with your husband and having in law's who are like descendants of sleeping beauty's step mother?" Nicolas added sarcastically.

"Then why don't you just put curse to your mother in law?" Lee answered sarcastically.

"If I could I would have done it!!! No need to tell me that."

"When is Zeejay coming? He said he will deal with this right away. If this continues I swear to ruin his sweet moments with you as he's ruining ours!"

"Hey don't put this blame on us! The reason why you are getting punish by Dexter is to teach you the importance of family!"

Lee looked at Dexter with his puppy eyes. "Am I still being punish Dexy?"

"Hhhhhhmmmm yes you can only kiss and hug me but no touching and strictly no sex for two months." Dexter said without batting an eye.

"But you let me touch you in the hotel room the other day? Was it just to tease me? Can't I be pardon?" Lee tried his luck again, though he has been trying for days now since Dexter announced it.

"No." Dexter shortly replied.

"How about just touching?"

"Let me think but first you need to show sincerity."

Dexter response made Lee very happy. "What are you three doing here by the way?" Lee asked after what Dexter just said to him.

"Well our Drake here is asking us for help when he meets Derrek's mother." Nicolas answered the question. "It seems like Derrek is already taking about his partner to his mother and his mother wants to meet him only that she doesn't know that his son is dating a beta."

"So we are running different simulation about it." Dexter added to Drake's explanation.

"Ow let me see, let me see." Lee said like an excited child who will be shown a special magic trick for the first time.

"Scene 1!" Dexter shouted and the two quickly got into their role. Drake being Drake himself and Nicolas as Derrek's mother.

Nicolas slap Drake and Drake hold his cheek and then Nicolas got up and point his finger to Drake. "Leave my son alone." After saying his speech he got something from his pocket and pretend to throw something invisible to his face. "Take this money, I don't care how you will spend it but leave my son alone!"

Drake who's on the ground hold his cheek that has been slapped by his supposed to be mother in law that was played by Nicolas. "But I love your son, no matter what you say or do I won't leave him." Nicolas who's too absorb playing the role charge towards Drake and pulled his hair in all over the direction until they hear a loud shout.

"CUUUUUUTTTTTT!!!" Nicolas instantly stopped with what he's doing.

"Why stopped them?" All three looked at the person who's sitting pretty watching them as he eats pop corn.

"When did you get those pop corns?" Finally Nicolas ask the questions that all of them are having.

"Ow since the time when Lee acted like a child and convince you two to show him the simulation that the two of you are doing." Dexter answered.

"Honey you shouldn't encouraging these two idiots doing something as absurd as this." Lee said looking at his husband who seems to act innocently.

"What?" Dexter asked like it was nothing.

Lee just sighed and looked at the two. "Auntie won't act as barbaric as that. No matter how much she might hate you she won't go her way out to stoop that low so cut the violence will you." Lee explained.

"Ow is that so?" Nicolas let go of Drake's hair that he's still holding. "Then maybe she will hire a hit on you? Yeah let's do that."

"What kind of dramas were you two have been watching?" Lee asked frustratingly. "She runs charities and often times donates to them. A person who likes to give won't hire a hit just to kill someone. And you Nick!"

Nicolas point to himself. "Me?"

"Yeah you! Zeejay's mother might not be approved of your relationship but did she ever hurt you in a way?" Lee asked.

"Of course Yes!!!" Nicolas answered without batting an eye.

"Really? When and how? Does Zeejay know about this? He won't stand still if it's about you." Lee doesn't know what to ask first. Zeejay's family might be scary and strict but as far as he knows them they are not the kind of people who will resort to violence.

"She hurt my pride! She tried to buy my love for her son! So I took her offered money and spend it. Who says she can make the decision for us?" Nicolas proudly said.

Lee could not help but massage his head and looked at his beloved who's still eating very much entertained because of the three of them.

"It's not like Zee is still a child for crying out loud her son is old enough to make babies hhhmmm mmmwwwhhhggg." Drake quickly covered Nicolas mouth afraid for the man to say more ridiculous things in front of his own son.

"I think this is enough." Drake suggested, he tried to stop the two from arguing even more but as soon as the tension calms down Drake's from rung indicating for a call that needs to be answered.

"Drake I think your phone is ringing." Lee pointed out.

"Yeah right." Drake quickly uncovered Nicolas mouth and picked out his phone from his pocket.

"Ok, ok yes I understand. I will don't worry. I love you too." Those were the only words that got out of Drake's mouth.

All eyes are on him as if they are all been waiting for an answer to their unspoken questions.

"It's Derrek." Finally Drake broke the silent. "He said a car will come to pick me up from here. His mother wants to speak to me."

"Are you all right? Do you want us to go with you?" Being a good friend Nicolas quickly asked but Dexter shake his head no.

"I'll be just fine, I think I should go there alone and besides Derrek will be there too. I know he won't leave me alone only to get hurt." Drake assured everyone in the room.

"Just remember what we practice ok?" Nicolas reminded him. Lee wanted to smack Nicolas head after hearing his advice.

"Drake don't ever follow Nicolas advice if you want to walk away in that house with your pride intact then don't patronize this idiot here. Cause this idiot is used to get his pride shutter! He even followed Zeejay back then like a sick stalker ouch! Who hit me?!" Lee complain.

"Who are you calling idiot you idiot?!" Everyone looked behind.

"Zee!" Nicolas who can no longer contain the surprise and happiness he felt after seeing Zeejay run towards him and jump. Good thing Zeejay was able to catch him quickly preventing his wife from falling and getting injured.

"Yeah go hit and scold him he has been calling me idiot who doesn't have any pride." Nicolas point Lee as he tells Zeejay all the things that the two argued about.

"Hey I thought you said you will ignore Zee when he comes home cause he left you and Zay alone again then why are you in his arms as soon as you saw him?" Lee mockingly asked Nicolas and just like that a realization dawns to Nicolas and he quickly tried to get down from Zeejay's arms.

"Let me down!" Nicolas protest.

"So my wife is angry and upset because I didn't came home sooner is that it?" Zeejay teased the now blushing Nicolas.

"Let him down Dad." It was Zay who said it.

"Ow son, did you miss me too?" Zeejay asked his son.

"Nope and I think I said that I'll get back to you for lying to me just so you can be alone with Mom. I hope you are ready for that Dad." Zay picked up his books and went to his room. Zeejay can only gulp in response.

"So much for a welcome home from my son ey?" Zeejay mutter to himself.

Minutes later a car arrived to pick up Drake just as what Derrek told him. Drake got inside and while on his way a lot of things run inside his mind but one thing is for sure he doesn't want to give Derrek up.

"Do I really have to go Mom?" The elderly woman took a glance at her son before speaking up.

"You ask me to get to know him, no you begged me to get to know him and I'm doing it in exchange for the privacy between him and me. If you want me to keep the end of my deal then you must go and let us talk just the two of us. I'll call you over once it's done." The woman said.

"Ok, I'll take your word for it. I trust you that you will keep your promise not to hurt him." Derrek said.

"Is he really the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life? You are my only son the heir to this empire and yet you choose someone who can't bare you a child." Drake give out a loud sigh. He do get his mother's point. No matter how dominant of an Alpha he is Drake will never ever smell his scent much more never ever bare him a child.

"From the beginning ever since you were a child I wanted you to end up with an Alpha woman not with an Omega much more with a male beta but thinking about it now an Omega in law would have been much better." The woman took a sip to her porcelain tea cup.

"I love him Mom whether he's an Alpha, Beta or an Omega. Even if he can't give me a child I will still love him. If you take him away from me Mom then I will..." Derrek wipe the tears that's building in his eyes. Thinking about their pass he wonders how did Drake was able to live with the pain of loosing him cause he's sure that he can't live without him.

"Me and your Dad will talk to him. Go for now he's on his way we don't want him to see you here. We want to speak with him alone." Derrek's mother didn't say anything anymore. She only have one son a son that she and his husband adores so much. Her pregnancy with him got so complicated that it renders her impossible to have a second child that's why she and her husband make sure to give him everything. She wanted he child's future to be perfect like any parents would want, that's why at early age she took the liberty in finding her son the perfect woman to marry with. A perfect Alpha woman that only suit her perfect Alpha son and Derrek knows it. That's why this sudden announcement that his son made really shook their world. She and her husband doesn't know how to react and much more what to say. She's lost in her own world with a lot of things in mind but the gentle hand that holds and squeeze her cold and trembling hand brought her back to reality. She looked at the man who's holding it. The man who she shared her ups and downs, the man who has been with her even though she knows that he didn't love her. Yes she and her husband's are both product of arrange marriage. They are not like Lee's parents who got wedded because of love. Theirs is a story of beneficial marriage for the good of their parents business. She was in love with the another man but she choose not to this obey her parents. In time she come to love her husband but has no courage to tell him till now, she live with the contentment that her husband goes home to her and that he treats her better. She's contented with her unrequited love just as long as he's in the place where she can see and be with him and that's enough. Her experienced made her realize that her parents were right. If the merger didn't happen they would have lost all their fortune and she will be left with nothing for her and her family. What kind of future can she give her children if she and her children are all starving to death. Then she later realized that love can be learned, that you can live with the person you are married to even though you don't love him after all you both have plenty of time to learn how to love one another.

"Don't worry too much." Says her husband.

"How can I not worry? The man that your son is dating we don't know a single thing about him?! Our son, our one and only son. I don't want him to end up with some gold digger bitch who just wants him for his money."

"Darling, we still don't know that. That's why we are meeting him to know better but if he turns out to be a good person then what are you planning to do?" She looked at her husband.

"I don't know, I still think that it's better for Derrek to end up with the woman we arranged for him."

"Do you want your son to end up feeling the same pain you felt when you marry me against your will?" He smiled to the woman who he has been calling his wife for years.

"Even if you don't tell me I know that you love someone when we got married and that someone is not me. That's why I tried my very best to make you feel love and happy so you won't regret marrying me instead of him but your son is different from you. I can see from his eyes the same determination and love as I have when I was younger."

She could not believe all the things she was hearing for the first time more like she doesn't want to believe it. All this time she thought that he married her out of his obligation to his family and their business but the words that he keeps on saying is insinuating feelings that tell her he indeed loves her. Then a realization hits her that maybe she's just the same as her before and that he loves someone before the two of them got married.

"That woman must have been lucky to get your love." a pang of pain hits her.

"Then do you think that you're so lucky then?" She almost blow the tea she's been drinking.

"What?!" She blurted out.

"Well I have been thinking about this for a while now. I have been talking to Robert asking for advices since my wife is driving me crazy. I'm just too coward to confess specially at this age. I'm afraid that the relationship that we have will be ruin if ever I'll confess but this old man's heart can no longer take it."

"Wait how did we end up in this conversation? We should be worrying about our son!" She tried to avoid the confession, it was too much for her. She can't believe that her husband feels the same way.

"I love you Clara. It's ok if you don't love me but just let this old man love you."

"Are you stupid? What old man? Those women in your office are still drooling over you is that what you call an old man?! What are you saying I don't love you? Of course I do? Who wouldn't fall for a man as handsome, fit, strong and sweet as you." Her husband suddenly pulled her to a kiss which cut her off from what she's saying. The light kiss got deeper as time passes then a soft cough made the two pull away from each other.

"So can I disturb my parents who's making out as soon as I got out of the room?" Clara fix her self so as her husband.

"Yes of course. What is it son?" Clara finally manage to ask.

"Drake is here." Derrek then called Drake. She saw the boy and invited him inside. Derrek kiss Drake before he left him in his parents care.

"Sit." Drake say only one simple word.

Drake who's very nervous sit cross from Derrek's parents. He was already expecting his family to be wealthy since his friends are all wealthy but he still can't get use being in an enormous house that can already pass as a mansion.

"Drake." Clara called that startled Drake that made him spout things.

"No I won't accept it, I won't leave your son I love him." Drake suddenly kneel and had his hands up to his face as if shielding it from something that is about to come as he said those words. Then a loud laugh eco inside the room.

"Drake son don't worry we just here to talk to you. Get to know you better. We are not here to separate you too." The man who he assumes as Derrek's father.

"Sir?" Drake asked as if he still dreaming for such warm words.

"Call me uncle or if you want call me Dad."

Clara sighed. "It seems offering you money won't work. Instead of that I have a question to ask. You are a beta male and because of that you can't give my son a heir, would it be ok to you if he has a child from another woman?"
