SEASON 2 : WELCOME!

Welcome to the second volume of The Demon in Me. Haha! I appreciate your patience and have come with far. In this season, the secrets of the past and future will slowly leak and will definitely become an emotional rollercoaster and a ton of action. It does not follow the original story just yet or may never will. Who knows!

The dance of the blade has become beautiful art with a swift stroke like a paintbrush. A thousand arrows fell at rapid speed, but arrows broke in half within seconds. She stood on top of the dead bodies claiming victory with a vicious laugh.

The sight was truly sickening.

As she stood witness to the countless innocent souls who fell victim to the merciless violence of the battlefield, an overwhelming sense of despair and hopelessness engulfed her. At that moment, a powerful force stirred deep within her, almost as if a long-dormant demon had awoken from its slumber. Despite feeling physically weak and vulnerable, her unwavering determination to make a difference remained steadfast and unshakable.

A sacred arrow struck her shoulder.

A few miles away stood the priestess as she looked on, the half-demon crumpled to the earth.

The half-demon experience intense symptoms, which she had a difficult time overcoming. The memories of the battlefield began to haunt her, causing her to feel frightened of herself.

Kotori remained to lie in the bed, tightly cocooned in the warmth of the covers. She had turned her body to face the wall, displaying a clear resolve to remain within the confines of the hut and exhibiting a reluctance to respond to any attempt to persuade her to leave.

The sight of any more suffering was something she simply could not bear to witness any longer. Despite her empathy and desire to help, the weight of the pain and anguish she had already seen had become to heavy to bear.

In a calm manner, Kikyo quietly settled herself onto the ground, shutting her eyes and inhaling deeply." Might you have a yearning to cast your gaze upon InuYasha once more?" she gently queried.

" Excuse me, Master Kikyo." Kotori exclaimed, her head turning abruptly in a display of guilt.

It appears that the priestess is currently going through a period of immense sadness, which she finds difficult to put into words.

In the midst of the forest, Kikyo bore witness to a profound moment of intimacy between the two lovers as they engaged in not just one but two tender kisses. The stillness of the night was only broken by the sound of rustling leaves and the soft whispers of the enamored pair lost in each other's embrace. It was a moment of pure bliss and unbridled affection, one that Kikyo would not soon forget. While she found some comfort in treasured memories and a special place, these also brought mixed emotions of happiness and sadness.

" Little Ko, while I acknowledge that your skill may be unpredictable and pose a risk, I do believe that with the right guidance and management, they have the potential to be applied for the greater good," she expressed.

"Master Kikyo," Kotori's face flushed with embarrassment." I deeply apologize for my careless behavior. Please believe me when I say that the kiss I shared with InuYasha meant absolutely nothing. I understand the history and depth of your connection with InuYasha. You are the one he loves and respects; I would never jeopardize that relationship in any way." She explained, hoping to alleviate any doubt or concerns Kikyo may have had.

But Kikyo did not believe a single word that came from Kotori.

"How come I did not see how close you and InuYasha had become? Perhaps, I lingered on the thought that his heart only belonged to me even in death."

It was evident that Kotori harbored profound feelings of longing toward InuYasha. Though she may not have been aware of it; she had developed feelings for the half-demon and yearned to be with him once again. Her heart was burdened with the weight of her unrequited love.

As the sun rose above the horizon, Kotori stepped out of her humble hut and made her way towards her mention, Master Kikyo. The wise priestess was lost in deep thought, surrounded by soul collectors. With a respectful bow of her head, Kotori spoke in a hushed tone, voicing her heartfelt wish to utilize her strength for the betterment of society and safeguard those in need.

"I will never see InuYasha again." She murmured silently.

The duo carefully laid a pile of glittering gold coins on top of the soft comforters at the temple, their minds set on embarking on a perilous journey in search of a cure for the poison that had infected Kotori's, delicate heart. Their determination was unwavering, and they knew that time was of the essence if they were to save her life.

Thus, the story continues. We got to know her but now, the real Kotori.
