Chapter Thirteen: is It Really The End?

Adrienne smiled an evil smile and just looked straight through her eyebrows. William and Jesse had a fearful expression on their faces and just stood there. They had no idea what Adrienne was planning and were scared for their lives as they just shot their former leader of Canada. Then, something really unexpected happened.

"If you guys want to be misogynistic right now, do it because this is the only time I will take it and not be offended by it." Adrienne said in a sly and fake happy tone of voice.

"Well for one, you are only useful for one thing and that is for being a mother and a servant to your husband." William said in a sly and manipulative tone of voice.

"Umm, I don't think you should've said that, William. And now it looks like as if she is going to murder you herself, right here and right now." Jesse said in a scared and concerned tone of voice.

"No, she won't murder me-" William was interrupted by a very angry Adrienne staring him down like a goddamn hawk.

"You thought and said wrong, Mr. Black. You might want to apologize for what you just said." Adrienne said in an angry and sly tone of voice.

Adrienne stared William down for what seemed like hours. Then, Jesse decided that it was a good idea to break the tension. That was the wrong idea. Adrienne then stared at Jesse like he was an idiot and an absolute asshole for just coming up with an idea like he did.

"Jesse, why are you such an idiot at times and you end up making things worse." William said in a panicked and worried tone of voice.

"Well, it was only a suggestion. It isn't really a big deal." Jesse said in a confused and suspicious tone of voice.

"Wait a minute, what on living earth are you hiding?" William asked in a confused and concerned tone of voice.

"You'll find out… Eventually." Jesse replied in a suspicious and sly tone of voice.

Adrienne looks at the two men like they were both stupid and just nodded her head in annoyance. Then, they both realized that they have no way of hiding her mother's dead body from her and that they would be both screwed if she were to find out that they planned it since the beginning of her tyrannical reign.

"You shouldn't talk to your superior that way, Mr. Lindsey. It's too dangerous for you to play the game that way." Adrienne scowled and said in a grimaced and disgusted tone of voice.

"What do you mean, Miss Smith? I'm not even playing a game with you." Jesse replied in a manipulative and sarcastic tone of voice.

William then goes up behind Adrienne and tries to discreetly slit her throat. It failed miserably as Adrienne's reflexes are faster than William's and she grabs the knife from his hands and turns it onto him. William looks at her wide eyed while Jesse looks at her with greed, lust, and murder in his eyes. Adrienne noticed and also turns the knife on Jesse and that made his demeanor change in an instant.

"Do you both really want to die in this office like my mother did or would you like me to spare you?" Adrienne asked in a manipulative and sly tone of voice.

"No, we don't, but we have something to tell you and I know you wouldn't like what we would have to say." William said in a really sly and evil tone of voice.

"No we don't, William. Why the hell are you acting like this?" Jesse asked in a confused and worried tone of voice.

"I'm acting normal, it's you who is acting weird." William said in a fake and concerned tone of voice.

"Will you two stop acting like idiots and start acting like responsible adults!? Adrienne yelled in a frustrated and annoyed tone of voice.

"We are acting like responsible adults, Miss Adrienne Smith." Jesse said in a misogynistic and narcissistic tone of voice.

Adrienne turns her back on William and Jesse as if they were a lost cause. She sighed a dramatic sigh and just stared into the oblivion. William and Jesse start to worry as if Adrienne was about to plan her revenge on the both of them. Adrienne turns back around to face the two and starts to talk but gets rudely interrupted by Alicia's advisor.

"Alicia- whoa!? Why is she laying on the ground!? IN HER OWN POOL OF BLOOD!?" Alicia's advisor said in a panicked and worried tone of voice.

"I don't know, advisor, but all I know is that we have traitors on our hands." Adrienne said in a calm and collected tone of voice.

"A-alright, Adrienne. I trust your word more than I do WIlliam's and Jesse's words, if they were to say something." The advisor said in a worried and frustrated tone of voice.

"Well, why don't you trust us but you trust that daughter of Alicia's?" William asked in a manipulative and misogynistic tone of voice.

"Because, Alicia has been more loyal and honest to me than you or Jesse combined and besides, Alicia never wanted to be the leader of the regime in the first place, William. You were the one that forced her to become the leader of the regime AFTER you murdered her lover, Beau." The advisor said in a low and calm tone of voice.

The advisor turned her back to the trio and went out of the room. Then, Adrienne heard the advisor start to cry because of Alicia's sudden passing. Adrienne had a dark look in her eyes and this worried both William and Jesse. She turned to both of them and just stared them down, like a hawk who was about to get to their prey.

"Adrienne, why do you look like you are about to kill us right here, right now?" William asked in a worried and concerned tone of voice.

"Yeah, Adrienne. You are starting to worry us by how your facial expression is reading." Jesse replied in a concerned and panicked tone of voice.

Adrienne looked WIlliam and Jesse dead in the eyes and started to laugh in a very maniacal way and it was scaring the two men. They both started to run away from Adrienne and the regime.

"Well, you see Adrienne, the thunder scared me and I accidentally discharged the gun, which was aimed at your mother. Will you believe me?" Jesse said in a worried and concerned tone of voice.

"You know what, Jesse. I don't believe you at all because you diabolically planned my mother's downfall and William, you didn't even stop it." Adrienne said in a calm but creepy tone of voice.

"I tried to stop him, Miss Adrienne, but Jesse threatened to kill me if I did stop him." William said in a fake scared and sly tone of voice.

Adrienne looked through her eyebrows and dramatically sighed a very dark sigh while bending on the desk with her hands. She looked at the two and had an evil smile on her face while looking through her eyebrows.

"You have five seconds to run away from this place and if I catch you after those five seconds are up… You're dead."
