Chapter Twelve: Bad Luck Always Follows Behind

Lia and Trinity rest in a cave and wonder how they would be able to escape Alicia, William, and Adrienne along with the group of stormtroopers. Finley on the other hand, went into a hollowed out tree and rested for what seemed like eternity. Even though the trio was split up, they all felt the sense of dread and panic.

"Lia, do you think we're going to die here by the government's hand?" Trinity asked in a panicked and quiet tone of voice.

"I don't know, Trinity. I don't know." Lia said in a calm but panicked tone of voice.

A few hours after the trio split up, Alicia goes out and tries to find a part of the trio. She comes upon a hollowed out tree, not knowing that Finley was hiding out in the tree. Finley stopped breathing and was thinking that he was going to get caught. Then, Alicia looks in the tree to see if her suspicions were correct.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here." Alicia said in a sly and evil tone of voice.

"Alicia, how the hell did you find me!?" Finley said in a panicked and worried tone of voice.

"You don't want to know. But, all you need to worry about now is how you will die with that sister and that four-year-old child that you swore to protect." Alicia sneered in an angry and sly tone of voice.

"You wouldn't hurt either one of them." Finley said in an angry and concerned tone of voice.

"Oh, I would and you wouldn't be able to do anything about it." Alicia growled and it came out as a really evil tone of voice.

As soon as their conversation ended, Alicia grabbed Finley by the arm and took him back to the office at Rideau Cottage. She told him to sit down and wait for his sister and for the four-year-old that's with her. She also told him to get comfortable as it would be a long while for them to show up.

While Finley was caught up with Alicia, Lia and Trinity were running from a small group of stormtroopers. Trinity pulls on Lia's shirt and asked her to pick her up. Lia picks her up and runs faster than she ever has in her life but out of nowhere, William appears behind them and Trinity screams.

"It's okay, Trinity. That scary man will not get to you like he did to your sister." Lia said in a sad and calm tone of voice.

"You think so, Lia?" Trinity asked in a concerned and scared tone of voice.

"I know so, Trinity. I just know." Lia said in a calm and concerned tone of voice.

Just then, William grabs ahold on Lia's arm and it causes Lia to drop Trinity. When she dropped Trinity, she told her to run for her life. Trinity tried to run but one of the stormtroopers picked her up and carried her away to Alicia. Lia then tried to get away from William but he dragged her by the arm to Alicia.

The group gets to Rideau Cottage and put them in the office where Finley is with Alicia and her daughter Adrienne and sits them down behind all of the stormtroopers, William, and Jesse. They were all being praised with bringing the traitors back to where they belong. All of a sudden, William and Jesse start arguing.

"I was the one to tell you that they were in the woods and I should be the one to get the most praise!?" Jesse yelled in an angry and pissed off tone of voice.

"But I was the one who found them and brought them back here so I should be the one to get the most praise, you dumbass!?" William said in a sly and angry tone of voice.

"CAN YOU TWO SHUT UP FOR FIVE MINUTES PLEASE!?" Alicia yelled in an annoyed and aggravated tone of voice.

"This is why women shouldn't lead a country because their emotions would get the best of them!?" Jesse said in a misogynistic and angry tone of voice.

"How about you stop being a misogynistic asshole and let me think about what I should do with you and what to do with the traitors!?" Alicia said in a very annoyed and narcissistic tone of voice.

"And how about you give up your power to a man who actually deserves to be in power!?" Jesse replied in a confident and misogynistic tone of voice.

All of the stormtroopers left the room due to how high the tension was with Alicia, William, and Jesse. The trio sat there waiting for what was about to happen next and Adrienne stood behind her mother and was waiting to see what was going to happen. Then, Adrienne saw a pistol in Jesse's waistband and tried to alert her mother.

"Mom, there is a pistol in Jesse's waistband so I don't think you would want to mess with him right at the moment!?" Adrienne said in a panicked and alerting tone of voice.

"Adrienne, not now. Don't you see I have to deal with a misogynistic asshole that is standing in front of me and one who is acting like a spoiled brat!?" Alicia said in an annoyed and agitated tone of voice.

Then, William stood behind Adrienne and held her in a temporary chokehold. Alicia turned around and looked on at what was happening, in shock and in fear of her daughter's safety. William let go of Adrienne from the chokehold but he still held her arms in a very awkward position. Alicia and Jesse looked on in shock and then the unthinkable happened to Adrienne. She got knocked out. Unconscious.

"WILLIAM, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU KNOCK OUT MY DAUGHTER!?" Alicia yelled in a worried and panicked tone of voice.

"Because, she was going to get on my last nerve trying to warn you about your imminent demise." William said in a creepy and sly tone of voice.

Just then, Adrienne woke up from being knocked out unconscious. She looked around the room, in a dazed state of mind. She then regains complete consciousness and realized who knocked her out. She turned to William and had a smirk on her face. William had no idea why she had a smirk on her face but he just brushed it off.

"I don't think you should try to brush off the smirk on my face, Mr. Black." Adrienne said in a maniacal and sly tone of voice.

"Oh, but I do what I please, Miss Smith." William replied in a manipulative and mocking tone of voice.

As soon as the discussion was getting heated, Lia and Finley took Trinity and left the room and ran for their lives. Alicia, William, Adrienne, and Jesse didn't notice them leave the room as things were getting a little heated. And then, not much time passed when Jesse discretely pulled out his pistol and put the ammo that was with the gun and put them into the gun.

"Mom, Jesse pulled out ammo for his pistol and put it into the gun. I think he's going to kill you." Adrienne said in a panicked and scared tone of voice.

"SHUT UP, YOU BRAT!?" William yelled in a manipulative and creepy tone of voice.

"WILLIAM, DON'T YELL AT MY CHILD LIKE THAT!?" Alicia yelled in a defensive and protective tone of voice.

As soon as Alicia yelled that at William, a gunshot goes off. Alicia goes to see if her daughter was the one shot, but alas, it wasn't Adrienne that was shot. Then, Alicia feels her body go cold. That was when she realized, she was shot. In the chest and was bleeding out fast.

"MOM!? What on Earth happened to you!?" Adrienne yelled in a panicked and scared tone of voice.

"I don't know, Adrienne but all I know is that there is a traitor in this room right now." Alicia said in a calm and worried tone of voice.

Just as Alicia said her final words to her daughter, she passed away in Adrienne's arms on the floor in her office. Then, Adrienne realized that she would take over Canada and she would be tyrannical just like her mother was. She then stands up and goes over to the desk and looks around the desk and then the room.

"Well, I guess women can rule a nation, am I right? Mr. Black…" Adrienne said in a manipulative and sly tone of voice.

"I'm now scared of what you've got planned, Miss Smith." William said in a fearful and worried tone of voice.

"I don't know if you should be scared or not." Jesse said in a fake scared and panicked tone of voice.

"I don't feel any different." William said in a fake scared and panicked tone of voice.

Adrienne sighed and had a smirk on her face.

"Well, Mr. Black and Mr. Lindsey, you better be prepared for what I have in store for the country of Canada."
