THE TWO FRIENDS FRIENDS FOR LIFE

The First Year They Meet.

There were once a group of friends; John, Pilate, Hansel and Marcel, but amongst them were two best friends; Marcel and Pilate. they were one another's keeper from their day one in to the secondary school even though being the biggest or oldest boys in their class, they never in one way or the other made this hinder them from taking their quest for knowledge to the best of their capacity.

The both friends were so smart that even every teacher or student loved their company. Their understanding capacity was just a match of their ages. These two boys were both fatherless but fate brought them together. Pilate was living with a family to whom the mother agreed with so he can be serving them while they in turn pay his school fees, meanwhile Marcel was lucky enough to have his parternal uncle who could help him pay his fees and provide some of his school needs.

They studied hard past every sequencial tests with flying colours and made their guidances proud of them. They took advantage of their intelligence and created an atmosphere on compost in which, anytime they weren't around for a day, everyone will notice their absence as they were creative, funny and very inquisitive.

In their first term in form one, Pilate was the 6th and Marcel was the 7th out of a class of 115 students, but during the second term, Pilate took the 4th and this time his best was the 5th. Every teacher started claiming that this was due to the fact that both of them were sitting together but at one point, the class counsel decided to part them, but rather in the 3rd term Marcel came 3rd and Pilate 4th. The was when the authority realize d that there was no copy work in between these peers. Instead there was a high level of a healthy competition between them that led to such brilliant results.

Their Second Year As Friends

Form two as everyone usually say, is one of the toughest classes in secondary school, as this class introduces most of the ordinary level's GCE syllabus. This two best friends came clearly to the lime light on the school campost in their Second Year.

Marcel was nominated the "class prefect" in form two by a new decipline mistress. She just arrived in school but she had already sensed something special about this guy as he was smart, tall and very neat and authoritative. During the first term in form two, Marcel scored a brilliant performance that shocked even his uncle. He was second of his class and the 5th in the entire school of more than three thousands students and his friend was third in class as his class was made up of very intelligent students.

The two guys studied together, played, shared with each other and helped one another when ever necessary.

They were both promoted from one class to the other with very good grades until they reached their final year of secondary school.

Their Final Year In Secondary School

It's the year for the real test of knowledge but the two friends and their peer were in good form for the challenge. The long holiday had been dramatic for Marcel as he and his uncle had been admitted in the hospital diagnosed with Malaria 🦟.

As usual, the examination class in their school usually resume school two weeks to the normal resumption date of the general school calendar.

Every teacher and student is anxious to see the capability of these two guys, school resumed and everything was going on smoothly, until mid November that year, the general anglophone teacher's trade union GATTU went on strike and everything went wayward. The teacher's demands were not fulfilled by the government, so and the whole school year was a chaos.

Students studied from home by themselves until they went in for the examinations, their performances were quite understood as they both registered 10 subjects each, Marcel had five and Pilate 4.

How They Pathed Their Ways

The results are out, the teacher's grievances had turned into a full blown out war in the anglophone regions of their country. Pilate's guardian had automatically decided that they no longer needed his services and neither will they still pay for his fees, so he was forced to look for a job in other to better up his life, meanwhile in the other han, Marcel his best is depressed due his friend's absence with whom he shared all of his pain.😭😭 People

Marcel went further to lower sixth but at the end of the year the crises were above control. No one was allowed to attend any form of school, many are being killed and so he dropped out and started searching for a better life in the francophone regions while Pilate remained in the capital city of the anglophone region where the situation was slightly calm but till date the they remain in contact with one another and visits one another.
