Powers and Future Fighting Style

"This crazy fuck..."

"He's dead now. Madam Scarlet is here. "The surrounding crowd, who were scattering from the sudden escalation of the fight, calmed down by the presence of Scarlet as if they'd finally gained a protector that could let them continue talking smack.

Though they were scared earlier, they were all laughing now that another interesting thing popped up from nowhere.

"Who are you? "Unexpectedly, however, instead of handling the situation with James, Scarlet looked at a certain student who was standing above James, who was lying on the floor.

The students then soon came to realize there was another person among the two people fighting and Scarlet.

"Who is that?" Some asked, confused by the student getting the attention of Scarlet when he wasn't even part of the scuffle from earlier.

"You didn't see because you were running away like a baby earlier. That guy took James down before the talisman was able to activate. "The questions were easily answered by the students who were brave enough to rush towards James, however, causing the silence to be disrupted by another surge of conversations.

"Yeah, he's that guy, Julius Solomon. "The other students who caught a glimpse of me earlier seem to have also recognized me from afar.

"I thought he wasn't anything that announcement portrayed him to be. Like, he got lucky, and he's just a weakling."

"Are you crazy? Do you think you can reach the top 30 when you get lucky? Then why are you placed at 10275, you bastard?"

The crowd slowly gathered back to the original number as they looked at yet another interesting scoop for the day.

It wasn't part of the plan, but I guess it's another bonus. The chances of me being disturbed by people would lessen, and I could focus on continuing to grow stronger.

Speaking of, the medium to becoming stronger is currently in front of me. The main reason I'm here.

"Oh my god, Maam Scarlet! I'm your biggest fan. "I whispered with a big smile in my mouth, causing Scarlet to look at me in confusion.

I've heard about your achievements, and I can't believe I'm seeing you in front of me right now. The most beautiful S-ranker in the world! "I say abruptly, causing her to be even more taken aback.

It seems like she didn't assume me to be this brazen and carefree.

Well, for my success, I'm willing to act as such.

Scarlet Hwang, an elementalist who harnesses the wild and destructive element of nature, fire. A mage capable of casting multiples of the magic that was released from that talisman with ease. After all, a C-class spell is no big deal to a peak S-class mage, the peak of humanity.

"Stop messing around; answer me seriously, " she says with an annoyed expression. She's known to be a cold and straightforward person who doesn't like flattery or any sort of extra behavior.

Well, at least that's what the public thinks of her.

Though it was quick and almost unnoticeable, I, who was paying attention to her expression, caught a small smile on her face the moment I introduced myself as her fan.

The public opinion of Scarlet being cold and strict was way off from her actual personality.

Since she was just a student at Front, her main driving force as a ranker was not anything honorable like saving the world. It's simply the fame of being one. The dream of many young girls is the dream of the same lady in front of me.

A woman who dreams of a celebrity life. She cares a lot about her looks, more than everyone thinks, and she spends almost half of her money to maintain her naturally good looks despite her age.

So although she's famous already, no one really dared to say it like I do due to the misunderstanding that she didn't like compliments when, in actuality, she liked them a lot.

The fact that no one really dares to say it out loud seems to have made complimenting her, work even harder. It seems like she doesn't think she's as famous as she actually is.

"I'm serious, maam. But if you want my name, I'm Julius Solomon, an applicant at Front."

"Julius, so you're that guy the heads keep on arguing about, "she says with a puzzled look on her face. As if I wasn't what she was expecting, or at least from what the heads of the academy were talking about.

"Julius, huh? Alright, you did a good job stopping this here. I'll remember this achievement of yours and forward it to the board. "She taps my shoulder with a soft and satisfied smile on her face.

She then looked at Magnus, who was standing just a few meters away from us.

"As for you, we have some things to talk about. "She says to him,.

"But before that, go and thank Julius. If it wasn't for him, you would've made a mess here, and your heads might've fallen off from this little scuffle you did. "

Well, even though Front was letting it happen, they were still the ones who were responsible for starting and even escalating the problem in the first place. Besides, why would Front act up for their mistakes? It's a whole organization, and everyone knows how those things work.

Magnus then bows in my direction before looking at Scarlet again, without a single change in his expression.

I expected as much.

He's quite a closed individual. I know that best.

"Alright, come with me, guards! Bring that little devil. I think we have a little too many noble families here in Lux, "She says while pointing at James, who was sprawled on the floor, terrified of Scarlet's presence, before suddenly vanishing in thin air.

An exit deserving of an S class, I guess...

Well, that went well.

Now that I'm done with that, I should probably go check the dorms.

It's about noon already, and lunch is just around the corner. Enrollment goes until the late afternoon, so I should have some free time then.

It's time to prepare for the next step.

"Can I get your ID, please? "

" Here. "

I've arrived at the dormitory, which, as I already expected, is incredibly extraordinary. It's pretty much a five-star hotel, in the middle of prime tourists' destinations.

The rooms were quite awesome on their own as well. The beds were as soft as pudding, and the living conditions just screamed rich.

The designs were based on fantasy architecture, so there's a lot of carving in the walls and pillars that shoot through them, but I'm not complaining. Even the beds were built with those curtains, so it feels like I've become a noble of some sort.

The fact that we get this much space just for our sleeping needs is quite satisfying.

As for the bathroom, although there's no pressurized water system, the use of mana stone makes it seem like there is one.

It's been a while since I took a bath, so I didn't waste any time taking one immediately. It felt so satisfying and calming. As the water flowed down my face, I couldn't help but rethink how this was even happening in the first place.

It's not a dream, as I should've woken up by now. Even more so when water has been constantly flowing through my face. I can feel it so vividly that any doubts about being asleep slowly escape my mind.

After I was done, I went to get dressed. The academy gave us uniforms we could wear, so I had no problems in that department.

Black long sleeves for the undershirt, and white blazers and slacks with golden edges, symbolizing the color scheme of Front.

It's not bad, but the colors are too strong for my features. Only the black long sleeves worked well with me. So I decided to put off the blazer for now. I didn't have any choice for the pants, so I decided to wear them as well.

Alright, what's next on the list?

By early tomorrow, they'll conduct surveys depending on the program you want to take. The process for the students is different depending on their rank, though. As the top hundred applicants are given an interview,.

They'll ask what you want to do, what you aim to achieve, and what you currently have, and the professors will then take you as their core apprentice and raise you as such.

This obviously results in these students having more resources and potential for growth, meaning tomorrow is the biggest day for the top hundred.

Which I'm a part of.

As for my specialization,

There's only one thing that I think will suit me the most.

The specialization that I grew up with.

The reason why I was so interested in fantasy stories, and the reason why I was able to eat when I was a kid,.

The magic from earth, my dad's magic.

Illusion.
