The Alpha King’s Unwanted Human Mate

Grey Adulwulf is the Alpha King of Skies pack, with an unfortunate tragic past that made him into the successful, ruthless and powerful Alpha King that he is today. He hates humans with so much passion and has vowed to kill them if he ever comes across them ever again. Unfortunately for him, something tragic unexpectedly happens that turned everything upside down and caused irreversible damages, and the person believed to be behind it turned out to be a human, who coincidentally turns out to be his sought after mate named Lorenzo D’Angelo, whom he rejected and imprisoned. Enzo’s life was rendered miserable after that. The two men hated each other with so much passion, that it burned brightly like a candle in their hearts, morphing into lust and tugging them towards each other despite everything, making Grey– a supposedly straight Alpha King, to feel things he’d rather not feel. This is a story filled with hatred, scotching desires, and so many dark, dark secrets, along with nending misunderstandings, families’ disputes and an unexpected twist that changes everything fast and plunges Lorenzo in the midst of the whole mess, with no one to save him, but Grey. ——•——•——• EXCERPT •——•——•—— My fingers melted into the pale softness of his skin as I glided my hands over his hips to grasp his thighs. Everything about him was so soft, it drove me crazy cause I never expected a male’s skin to feel as soft as clouds, until him. He laid pliant in my bed, and his smaller, fisted hands were obediently splayed at the sides of his head as he regarded me with wide blown eyes, while his teeth dug into his full bottom lip– a set of lips which I’d never tire of tasting. I tightened my grip on his thighs and parted it slowly, and at once, a strong whiff of the ocean and flowers hit me right in the face, pulling a throaty groan right from my guts. As my eyes roamed over every inch of him which was bared before me right now, I almost snarled from the onslaught of possessiveness that settled in my chest. Mine. Mine. Mine. That was all that rang in my head as I lowered my head till I was brushing a kiss at the underside of his thighs while stifling a growl in his meaty skin, because the urge to sink my teeth into his creamy skin and claim him got more intense at that moment. I parted his thighs even more, almost bending him into two, because I was a greedy bastard who wanted to have it all. The rosy bud which had me hypnotized– was glistening delectably, as if calling out to me. Entranced, I watched as a drop of colorless slick slowly trickled out. “Alpha…” The voice was soft, breathless as it pierced through the lust filled haze I was trapped in. When I finally tore my gaze away from the enticing sight in front of me, my gaze locked with Enzo’s. He was leaning on his elbows, blinking large eyes down at me while color dusted his cheeks in a pretty shade of pink. “Why are you looking at it like that?” He voiced out tentatively, color filling out his cheeks even more, and I almost cooed from how cute he was. “D- don’t look! It’s embarrassing.” He added on a whisper as he averted his gaze bashfully, and I got the sudden urge to growl once again, because there was no way this gorgeous, gorgeous boy doesn’t know just how irresistible he currently is. No way at all. “Oh, doll… why am I looking at you like what? Like you’re a meal, hm?”

To Kill Or Not To Kill

Grey's POV

The wind whipped around me and roared against my ears as I ran nonstop, giving myself up to the pent up and boiling rage inside of me. I've been running non stop for over three hours, since the moment I exited the midst of the crowd, right after I had ordered for the human to be imprisoned. The absence of my beta inside of me was making my wolf even angrier, and it made me mad with so much rage that my limbs were vibrating with it.

As I ran in my wolf form, I slowly began to imagine a particular thing that took place a couple of weeks ago, when the priestess had given a profecy to me, and how the message had been confusing and unclear, but not anymore.

The priestess had informed me that she could see chaos so large coming, in the form of someone, and something else which she couldn't understand. I had automatically she had been referring to something like a rogue that was stupid enough to try to attract my pack, I had even ordered my guards to be on the lookout for something strange since that day; but now, it was more obvious to me that the priestess hadn't meant a rogue, but had meant a human, and what she had probably been unable to identify, had been the fact that the stupid human was going to end up being my mate.

I shook my head to shove that thought out of my head as I kept on running. My friends were trying to reach out to me through the mindlink connecting me and the pack members tomorrow, but I ignored them all and continued to run, trying to stomach all what had happened around the crashing of the plane. Turns out my best friend wasn't the only dead one who had died from the plane crash, some of the dancers who had been standing on the stage as well, had ended up dying as well, and some other people who got crushed by the wings of the plane.

The thought that my supposed mate who was supposed to take care of the pack members along with me, had been the one to cause a lot of people here in the pack pain, including myself– sat at the very top of my mind. I began to imagine some of the beautiful memories which I had shared with Alexander, and some of our darkest moments when we had both cried into each other's arms, and those thoughts blurred together in my mind till I let out a growl as I finally came to a stop at the edge of a cliff. The absence of Alex in my life was now fully registering with me, and the realization that I won't ever see him again or talk to him or spend time with him, made me howl really loudly into the sky, the shrill sound piercing through the silence of the sky.

Never did I imagine that this day of celebration was going to end with me losing the first friend I had ever made since I was born; we literally grew up together and did everything side by side. We had both thought our kids were going to become best of friends as well.

Life just had to be the most cruel to me every damn time, and this time, it took my best friend's life.

*******

As soon as I shifted into my human form, I got into some clothes that got handled to me by my guards, and then I stormed into the dungeon with so much anger and rage pouring off me. I rattled the gate and as soon as he had jolted awake, I made my way into the cell and got slammed with his thick scent once again, but this time, it was mixed with a bitter one of fright and dread; which was a good thing, because I was here to end his life.

I crouched before him, ignoring the pool of blood around one of his legs, and the way he was bent sideways against the wall he was leaning against. He stiffened even more and his eyes almost fell out of his sockets when I entered the cell, and I instantly noted his body visibly trembling in fear. As I regarded him silently, I contemplated between making his death quick and fast, or as dragged out as possible, in order to make him feel the pain for days before finally dying.

I wasn't in the right headspace for the latter, the former is gonna have to do.

"Do you know how much damage you did to my people and I today? You fucking ruined everything, and took innocent people's lives, including my best friend!" I roared out in his face and watched in anger as he shook his head frantically like he was trying to deny what I was saying.

I reached out and grasped his neck, and I jerked him towards me harshly, ignoring his sharp cry of pain and how small his throat felt in my grip. Tears were already sliding down his cheeks as pleas slipped past his lips.

"I reject you, whoever you are, you freaking, stupid human. I fucking reject you!" I roared into his face just as I started to squeeze his throat really tight, he was going to die by my hands tonight, I thought to myself as I tightened my grip even more– watching as he got paler every passing second. There wasn't any strength in the smaller hands which he lifted to tug at my wrist. His soured scent started to thicken, clogging my nostrils for a few heartbeats, but I refused to let go. I wanted to end him, because I didn't want a man for a mate and I'd never be mated to a human, who's also the killer of my best friend.

As those thoughts started to dance inside my head, it took a couple or seconds to focus my gaze on the present once again; and that was when I realized that my grip around the human's throat wasn't all that firm anymore – I had loosened my grip unconsciously, without even realizing it, and that thought made me get overcame with so much anger and frustration, I released my hold and threw him harshly against the floor. His whitened face started to color almost immediately, as he coughed and sucked in sharp gasps of breaths desperately.

I let out a frustrated groan and tugged on my hair, while questioning myself as to why I was once again unable to end the human's worthless life. With another frustrated growl, I delivered a couple of firm kicks into the human's ribs where I was sure he was going to feel it, and then I exited the dungeon and slammed the door firmly behind me, wishing there was a way I could turn back time and refuse to host this year's annual ceremony, because if the celebration hadn't taken place, then none of these would have happened.
