Chapter 9 - A man that never misses

With a large grin, I looked at Mihawk and excitedly exclaimed. "I finally found him!"

Without any further do, I ungulfed my body in a large gust of wind and took flight. Creating some sort of protective vortex at my front as I flew directly at the sniper's location.

*PEWN* *PEWN*

The bullets shot at me would simply make contact with the wind vortex and change direction. But even with the wind vortex I didn't let my guard down, as I tightly held my sword in my hand. Ready to deflect any bullet that managed to get through.

And I was right to do so as in the next moment.

*PE*PE*PEWN*

A quick succession of bullets shot out, all aimed exactly at the same spot. The first two managed to weaken the wind vortex enough for the last to get through.

Bringing my sword forward, I parried the last bullet. And with my sword aimed in front of me sent out a large lightning bolt in the general direction of the skilled shooter.

My lightning completely missed as the assailants attacks seemed to only stop for a small moment probably impressed with the display of power.

'Well if I can't fight back might as well solely focus on flying.' I thought as I further increased the amount of wind surrounding me, this time making a visible tornado around my hands and body. As I created the ultimate defence against snipers.

The tornado was too thick for him to see through and the wind too strong and unpredictable to read. So with the ultimate defence I rushed at the sniper.

I could hear more gunshots being fired, but their wasn't any bullet that came even close to my surroundings.

With my observation Haki locked on the man I came to recruit, I guided myself to his location as I felt him starting to make a run for it. In search of a better hiding spot.

But with the speed at which I was currently flying he had no chance of escaping.

It took me a mere 2 minutes to finally reach him. Landing a couple of feet away from him I observed the man who even now had a hand gun pointed at my head. His previously used sniper rifle safely strapped to his back.

The man had shoulder length curly blonde hair, large lips and a head band with his name stitched on it, 'Yasopp'. He wore a black shirt and grey pants with some brown leather boots. He had three guns in total one strapped to his waist, another strapped to his back and the last pointed at me.

[Young Yasopp]

"Woah, easy there Yasopp." I said.

"How do you know my name?" He asked while glaring at me, unlike his son he was steady and unafraid.

"It says it right on your headband." I remarked genuinely confused, 'is he stupid?'.

"Oh, you're right." He said in a almost child like manner before going back to a serious stare down. "What do you want from this village?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing we just came here in search of a man who never misses." I spoke truthfully.

"So you were looking for me?" He asked.

"Yes, I was. Now Yasopp, why don't you join me on my adventures?" I asked in a charismatic voice.

"No, I'd rather not." He replied straight away shutting me down while poking his nose.

His hand gun already holstered, as he started walking away in direction of the village.

I stood there, completely in shock. Why would he refuse me? Wasn't he in search of a great adventure to embark on?

"Come on, why not?" I shouted after him and followed.

He simply ignored me and walked away.

Guess my charisma can't get me everything.

'*sigh* guess I'll have to find another way to convince him. After all I only want the best for my crew.' I thought before walking back to the village.

It was a long way back to the village, but it was a fruitful one. It allowed me to be with my thoughts and think things through.

And the best solution to my current depression was simple. 'Party till I drop!'

Walking into the village, I found Mihawk sitting at a cafe. Leisurely drinking from a cup and reading the news paper.

Sitting down next to him, I asked. "Any news?"

He simply showed me two new bounty posters. Looking at them I was over the moon, Mihawk and I finally had our first bounties.

"Hahahaha, 50 million as a first bounty that's not bad at all." I exclaimed.

Mihawk on the other hand was simply glaring at his. "What's wrong? Not happy with yours?" I asked.

Mihawk didn't respond, as he kept looking from his bounty to mine.

"~25 million that make you 2 times weaker than me.~" I said teasingly.

In an instant the bounties I was holding were cut to shreds along with the table at the cafe.

"Hahahaha! Don't be like that, I'm sure you'll become as strong as me. Hopefully~." I added with a teasing smile.

In an instant all hell broke lose as Mihawk kept trying to cut me while I skillfully dodged his slashes. He of course wasn't given it his all, as it was a simple friendly banter.

"Hahahaha! Alright! Alright! Calm down, lets celebrate our new bounties. We're officially Pirates!" I exclaimed as I grabbed Mihawk by the neck and dragged him to the nearest bar.

Meanwhile,

Yasopp who had been seated on top of a building was observing our banter from afar an unwilling smile gracing his lips as he looked at us. In that instant a strange thought crossed his mind, 'It would be nice to be friends with them.'
