The Abused Accompanist (Chapt 2 out now!)

Eun-Jeong sat in her seat, waiting for the concert to start. With a cue from the singer, she placed her thin, straight, long fingers on the starting keys of the piece and played the first note. La~ the first note of the piece, A, rang through the auditorium where the concert was being held. Following came the rest of the Piano Accompaniment intro. On the fourth measure, the singer sang out the first word. This erupted screams from the female fans.

As the song ended perfectly, screams and applause erupted.

Eun-Jeong smiled under her mask as she stood to take a bow when the singer introduced her.

She then continued to sit down, waiting for the singer to cue the next song to begin.

With the cue (a nod), the song began. Do~ her fingers pressed on the 3rd octave C. Her fingers followed, playing the subsequent ten measures flawlessly, as though she had been playing this piece since the beginning of time. She eloped with the music, moving her fingers swiftly and expertly around on the black and white keys, creating a beautiful melody duetting the singer's dreamy voice. As the singer hit the high note, making the climax of the song, squeals pierced the air.

Again, the song concluded. With a wave towards the crowd, Eun-Jeong relaxed and stretched her back, waiting for the singer to cue the ultimate piece, the finale of the concert.

The singer quickly introduced the last piece and cued the song.

As the song ended, the concert also concluded.

Eun-Jeong glanced at her watch. When she realized the time, 8:30 PM, she panicked. She had promised her father she would be back by 8:40 PM. She glanced at the singer, she then glanced back at her watch.

After long consideration, she pulled out a piece of paper, she wrote her CashPay account out on the sticky note along with a note, 'Transfer the money ($300) to the following account -E)

She then stepped off backstage, left the building, called a taxi, and left for home.

BANG, Eun-Jeong hit the wall as her father sauntered towards her like predator and prey. One look and Eun-Jeong knew what was coming. She hurriedly covered the nape of her neck with her hands and prepared for what was coming.

Punches and kicks rain down on Eun-Jeong as she whimpered in pain.

SNAP! Eun-Jeong's father had stopped punching and kicking her, instead snapping her leg.

Eun-Jeong immediately clamped her hand over her mouth to muffle her pained scream as her father snapped her leg. Tears of pain flooded out of Eun-Jeong's hazel eyes as she lay sprawled out on the floor with a snapped leg, a couple of cuts, and many new bruises. Seeing Eun-Jeong in pain, a satisfied smile spread across Eun-Jeong's father's face. Muttering something, he strode out of the room.

Eun-Jeong took deep breaths as she tried calming her hiccups and slowly limped towards her first aid kit. She pulled her top off and started treating her injuries. Once finished, she limped to her closet, changed, and limped over to her bed.

She knew what she had done, but didn't think he would go this far.

Laying on her bed, she pulled out her phone, unlocked it, and opened the CashPay App, checking if they had paid her yet. After what she had gone through because of the show, she hoped they would give a generous tip.
