A Decade's Worth of Cultivation

WHOOSH…

A subtle breeze brushed past my face as I jumped from one tree to another, searching for monsters to kill.

I was with my family on a picnic in the nearby forest so I had to kill the interruptions which had our meal cut short, since Aunt Lumine was pretty much lazy to deal with it on her own and the rest were chilling, sending me to kill the beast since it would be a good 'experience'.

It had been 10 years since I first sparred with my Aunt, even though it did almost leave me at death's door.

She also told me that Yi had the ability to bypass the skills of this World, though it needed enough power to bypass higher ones, something I found out by pure experimentation with Louis.

Not only that, I also learned quite a few battle techniques and developed new forms for my Moon Breathing, which could be used without a long sword though I could now extent 'Tsukuyomi' at will or transform it into different weapons as well.

Feeling that I had gotten far enough from my family, I jump high in the air and use Yi from my surroundings to fire a powerful Air cannon from my feet that propelled me forward at lightning speeds. 

I had already broken through the 3rd Realm, 'Yi Sea', after reaching the 10th stage in the 'Body Strengthening' Realm so there was little risk of breaking my body due to my immense physical abilities, not to mention that my body had already grows to that of a teen.

The 3rd Realm of the Mortal Province, also known as 'Yi Sea', was where I began to store huge amounts of Yi in my body, way surpassing the limits I had as a 'Dantian Establishment' cultivator.

However, the Central World was far tougher than I imagined, merely destroying a couple of mountains would at least take as much force as destroying a 3 Dimensional Universe.

Seeing the monster that ran away from us earlier, I landed right in drown of him, but he ran sideways, possibly because he fears me. 

The Monster was a huge Spider, which were weak to Fire, but I don't have a fire attribute as of yet so I had to improvise.

I instantly appear in front of the beast using 'Bo-bup', which is a technique that is part of 『Renewal Taekwondo』, my favorite fighting technique from my past life as Jin Mori that lets me move fast enough to seem as if I had just teleported. 

Focusing all my concentration and momentum at a single point, I gave a powerful vertical kick. The kick, as if like a blade, cut through the beast's body like butter.

I looked upwards, only to witness clouds having split by the sheer force of my kick, along with a shallow trench right beneath it. This was 『Recoilless Kick』 that had performed without using even a hint of Yi, but pure mastery and physical strength. (Image here)

I smiled at my current growth, while it may be slower than if I had decided to just use skills and not become a cultivator, but through cultivation I could reach heights you could never reach even with Origin Skills.

I summoned 'Azura' in my hand, it was a really nice broad blade with a large golden handle resembling a cross. (Image here)

I had created it with a load ton of Yi, with only a single purpose, to act as the battery for Yi. After I broke through the 3rd Realm, I could manipulate Yi from the atmosphere, which I transferred passively to Azura, which had no limits of absorbing it.

Unlike 'Tsukuyomi' which could hold up to 3 times as much Yi as myself and grew alongside me, Azura had no limits and thus I continuously pour it with Yi, so I could have an almost inexhaustible supply of Yi, not to mention that it can be used as a cannon in case of a predicament.

Sigh…

I put the sword in my soul, as I leap to a secluded position I had marked before.

Arriving in what seemed to be a barren wasteland, I took out Tawus. It was a sword which was formed of very small pieces of Yi infused metal held together, and I could control the individual parts independently which gave me a lot of freedom and versatility. (Image here)

I separated all the parts and set them to revolve around me in high speed to form a protective barrier as I sit down on the ground and close my eyes.

Then, closing my eyes, I covered the entirety of my skin and even the clothes by dense Yi, which was the armor technique I created. After doing so, my hair shortened, while turning to glowing white that flew upwards like a flame and my skin became black and purple not to mention my eyes that too now glowed white. (Image here)

I have already reached the 10th stage of 'Yi Sea', and if I have a burst of Yi within my body, I would break through the next Realm.

I gathered Yi around myself first, forming a thick blanket full of it that surrounded me. Then, I suck all of that in at the same time, making me almost burst out due to the immense amount of Yi. 

I could not absorb it slowly since it would lead to me just breaking through the 11th layer of 'Ye sea', which would make it harder for me to break through in the future.

Bearing the burst of energy swirling in my body, I felt the trial come, which was a Yi sourced lightning that was more lethal the more corrupt your heart was.

But for someone like me, who has a soul that has a mixture of everything, good, evil and neutral, it doesn't matter, coupled with the fact that I could just use 'Azura' to absorb it, but that wouldn't help me breakthrough.

So, I drained the rest of the current Yi in my body and waited for the lightning tribulation to strike, and for me to absorb it continuously while transferring the excess amount to 'Azura'.

CRACK BOOM…

The lightning struck, slightly burning not only my body, but my soul as well. I continued to bear the pain, waited for the tribulation to cease.

Complete Darkness, that's where I found myself. I looked at my skin, or rather sensed it, only to find that I had actually had my soul transported here.

Suddenly, a multitude of glowing orbs of different shades formed around me. I knew what they were, they were Daos the path that governed concepts and Realms.

From what I could see, I could feel every Dao that there was to be compatible with me, but there was a problem. 

My soul was not strong enough to hold more than 5 Daos at my current level, not to mention if I don't select any Daos now, I may be able to cultivate them after my breakthrough to the 5th Realm but it won't make much of a difference.

I looked over to the Dao's for a while before choosing the 5 that I decided to cultivate.

The 5 Orbs were each of the color, 'Blue' which was the Dao of Space, 'Green' which was the Dao of Time, 'Black' which was the Dao of Darkness, 'Pink' which was the Dao of Reincarnation and finally one that only seemed to have a faint outline of a sphere which was the Dao of the Void.

I chose the Dao of Reincarnation so that my family, who I had somehow grown fond of, was not something I would let go, and with it, I could protect them not only from death, but also after death.

The Dao of Time was necessary because it is the one that can not only act as a catalyst for my cultivation, but also as an excellent way to protect myself, since it could only be countered by Void, something I now also possessed.

Waking up, I opened my eyes, finding myself in the same spot I was but at the center of a huge crater.

Did the tribulation do this? Nah, I absorbed it. Maybe it's due to my breakthrough.

Shit, how many hours did my breakthrough take?

I thought as I quickly jump up while pulling 'Tawus' inside my soul. I was about to use Yi to blast me towards my family's location but suddenly stopped.

Heh.

A smirk crept up my face, as I summon 'Tsukuyomi' in my hand while infusing it with not only Yi bit also the Dao of Space.

I slash the space before me horizontally, making a cracl in the very fabric of space itself and on the other side, I could see the back of my mother's head.

I slowly put my head through the crack in space before shouting.
