Spar or Death Match?

My blade shone purple, the same color as my kimono, in the dark Arena filled with little light as the moon was blocked by the Clouds.

I peeked at my status and I clenched 'Tsukuyomi', as I crouched a bit to get more footing. 

Apparently, I had the power of a 2nd Realm cultivator, likely due to my new blade and my technique. The 2nd Realm, as its name suggested, was the Realm which purely focused on strengthening your body by conditioning it with the flow of Yi. There weren't any stages in the 1st Realm of Mortal Province so 

It was quite a surprise when 'Tsukuyomi' first bonded itself with my soul. After which I had immediately gotten 2 titles, one being 'True Wielder of Eclipse' which is likely due to the affinity between Tsukuyomi and myself. 

The other title I got was 'Original Cultivator' which I think I got due to me being the first person to practise it in Veldanava's World, so the Words of the World considered me the first, since I was the first record it ever had of cultivation. 

Aunt Lumine then bombarded me with a load of questions about the sword, though I didn't answer most of them since that is not some knowledge a child should have.

My new blade was a katana, but what really stood out to me was that it could hold and project Yi.

Usually, whenever the materials from the Central World were infuse with Yi, they either absorbed it and became physically stronger, or they broke after being unable to bear the strain and the Yi spread into the air.

However, with Tsukuyomi, I could not only strengthen it, but also infuse Yi into my strikes and send out ranged slashes, though only a few times to my almost negligible reserves of Yi.

Not only that, I could store soul-bound items in my soul limitlessly if we had bonded and could call them forth anytime I wished. It kind of reminded me of an internal Inventory.

But the most important was that it could actually absorb Yi from the surroundings, which I could then absorb into myself, massively boosting my speed of Cultivation.

I inhaled as much Air as I could into my lungs, as I hold my blade right over shoulder, ready to dash at Aunt Luminous, who was going to be my sparring partner today. (Image here)

The only thing I could use now was 『Moon Breathing』, and only the first 3 for since my body even if it could be strengthened by Yi was still that of a child, not to mention my small lungs. 

I just hope that 'Tsukuyomi' can be extended at will, since that is the only way I can perform forms starting from 7th, or maybe I will have to improvise with my technique by using a polearm, though both will likely need drastic adjustments before they are compatible enough to use. 

I had more Yi that what I could hold myself as I stored it in 'Tsukuyomi', so I had way more Yi that I would have without it.

I dashed forward, breathing in a way that felt nostalgic, since I didn't have to as the Demon Emperor due to me using Nihilistic Energy to perform those attacks.

As her figure enters my reach, I drew my sword back.

"Moon Breathing: 1st Form; Dark Moon, Evening Place"

I muttered as I slashed, or rather tried to slash her arm. 

SWOOSH…

However, my blade was blocked just by a single finger.

The Original Moon Breathing is massively weak for this World; I guess I will have to try that.

Yi should only be able to be manipulated after reaching the 3rd Realm, but I am a special case. Yi is the essence that is derived from me, so it has an extreme affinity towards me, or rather my soul. This is only taken further when 'Tsukuyomi' is taken into account.

I jumped back while using 『Moon Breathing: Second Form; Pearl Flower Moongazing』, defending myself with the whatever poor protection it had.

"You are faster than you were a week ago," Aunt Lumine suddenly appeared right before me, "But you are still far too weak"

"Ugh…"

I instinctively put my sword up, and was sent flying backwards.

DAMN IT, JUST BY A FLICK?!

I stabbed my blade into the ground, stopping right before I hit the wall behind me.

{USE}

What?

{YI… LEGS}

I can but it will take some time to properly infuse it in my feet.

"Done already?"

BREATH, BREATH… NOW.

I dashed at her again, she gathered what seemed to be a small orb of red on her index finger and pointed it towards me.

!!!

DUCK… I slide down, barely missing the red orb that would have blasted my head off.

 What the! Is she trying to kill me?

I look towards her, only to see her having a smirk on her lips.

A frown made its way to my face, as I resume to rush at my opponent.

Just before she got within my reach, I lifted my place and performed 『Moon Breathing: Third Form, Loathsome Moon Chains』 repeatedly near her feet, blowing large amounts of dust into the air.

I leaped back, taking the time to infuse Yi into my legs, I ready myself as I finish infusing almost all the Yi I had into my legs leaving only a trace of it in the blade.

Grrr… Damn that hurts. 

I bent my Yi strained knees, and leap straight forward.

SLASH… 

I use the 1st form to slash her, or rather graze her since I wasn't strong enough to cut her, but this time it was infused it Yi, although a small amount.

As I slashed her and reached the other side, I leaped again to do another one, then another, again, again, again, again…

But as the dust cleared, I could clearly see that she was blocking everything just like before, with a single finger.

FASTER…

I strained my feet as much as I could, I had to become way quicker if I wanted to hit her.

I kept straining my knees as my legs slowly started to wobble, but I kept going.

FASTER…

FASTER…

FASTER FASTER FAASSTTEEERRRR…

I went faster and faster, I kept going even if it felt like my body are tearing itself apart. I slashed, I cut, I did anything I could to at least get a hit. (Image here)

"AARGHHHHHH"

I let out a guttural, painful roar as I exhaust my final reserves of Yi, completing what would later be the foundation of a few form of Moon Breathing, A deadly dance in a quick flash.

I see Aunt Lumine's neck before me, as I swing with all my might but my body suddenly grows numb.

JUST A BIT MORE DAMMIT…

I try to put more effort into my attack, but my vision suddenly goes black and darkness overtakes, though not before I head a sound that I instantly recognized.

CRACK…

It's quite impressive. 

I thought. The boy had unusual strength, speed and reflexes for even a prodigy thrice his age, not to mention his strange technique. 

That special Energy, Yi, was h0wever the greatest shock I ever had. 

At the start, his 'Moon Breathing' technique didn't have any effect on me, since It was a purely physical Technique and I have 『Physical Attack Nullification』.

He even though he was caught up in a illusion spell, managed to dodge an attack in it, something I myself made hard enough to pierce his forehead.

Even after the attack, he still kept rushing at me. 

I lifted up my finger, to flick him away again, but he suddenly jumped sideways and rapidly and repetitively made a different kind of attack near my feet, throwing up a lot of dust in the air.

I wanted to blow it away but decided against it since I wanted to see just what he would do next.

He started running around me circles, his speed gradually growing faster. As the speed increased, the dust around me started going around like a whirlpool with me in the center. I didn't take much time before it had already turned into raging winds that spiraled around me.

A vision barrier huh?

I activated 『Magic Sense』, seeing Michi jump back.

Suddenly, a white light started coming out of his legs, before they turned to a color of Deep Purple.

He then leaped at me with speed that massively dwarfed what he had shown just a moment ago.

My eyes widened a bit, as I sensed him rushing at me. 

I was about to deflect the attack which I thought would be directed at my torso, but he instead went on to make a small slash with a likely intent to scratch me. 

!!! 

What? Did he just?

I looked at the skin where he struck, it didn't even have a scratch, but there was this inexplicable feeling that I felt when his blade touched me.

I turned to the kid again, only to find him leaping at me again from the corner opposite to where he first began his onslaught. But this time, he was faster, ever more so that his earlier strike.

I turned to deflect the blade with my finger.

There's that feeling again.

My thoughts suddenly ceased for a moment before recognizing what it was. His strikes can't scratch my skin but they now could bypass 『Physical Attack Nullification』.

How is this possible? Is it because of the blade? No, if it was then I would have noticed it from the start. Then…Is that because of 'Yi'?

My thoughts were cut short as I deflected yet another strike from him, and another and then again, continuously as his speeds increased to a level where I had even begun to feel a slight pressure on my skin where his blade made contact.

I looked at him face, but saw something that left me completely baffled.

His face, though relaxed, zoomed through the arena at speed that would easily be higher than what normal humans could perceive. His eyes, no longer had a pupil but seemed to be balls of purple light which left an afterimage like trail. (Image here)

His attacks got swifter and heavier as his speed rose massively even from when he first infused Yi into the blade.

Oh no…

This speed is too much for his body, I could see his body being strained unnaturally to dangerous levels which was really painful, as I could tell from him gritting his teeth.

"AARGHHHHHH"

He roared in pain, as he leaped towards me in speeds that could actually contend with some of the better Vampire soldiers.

CRACK…

A sound that I immediately recognized as that of bones breaking made its way to my ears.

I immediately brushed away his sword, or 'katana' as he called it, which somehow turned into a small orb of purple light which suddenly got absorbed into forehead Michi's head and cast a spell to put him to sleep.

I examine his body while healing him with 『Kiss of Love』 which was the subskill of my 『Unique Skill: Lust』.

What I found was horrendous, his entire body would have been crippled for life if he didn't have her here for healing him right now. But the most brutal were his legs, whose bones were literally as if they were smashed to small pieces.

I teleported him in my bedroom and lay him on my lap, both of us on the bed, which I thought would make him more comfortable before calling Louis to tell Iris that her son will be staying with me here for the night.

...

I brush his hair, so he may feel comfortable, but I noticed something that felt different on my pinky finger.

Huh? Is that…my blood?

I look at the said red liquid on my finger, only to find a small amount of blood around dripping from what seemed to be a scratch.

I look at Michi, as a smile crept across my face.

Is this the power of a cultivator? No, that's just how amazing Michi is.

I couldn't even heal my finger, despite being a True Demon Lord, without actively doing so, which implicated just how dangerous Yi potentially could be.

I wonder… Just how strong will you become after 10 years?
