Chapter 9: The Bite
"The fuck is this idiot doing," I muttered to myself, observing Scott's erratic behavior.
He was acting like a crazed animal, sprinting around me in circles, growling and barking.
I couldn't quite comprehend what was going on until I felt a sharp stinging sensation on my hand.
looked down and saw a massive cut, all the way from my arm to my hand, and blood gushing from it. Now I knew what Scott was attracted to - my blood.
"What the fuck?" I thought as I examined my wound.
I couldn't recall getting injured, but I did remember the strange fog that had enveloped me earlier.
Had something happened to me during that time that I couldn't remember? It was the stupid kid trying to hold my hand wasn't it?
Before I could fully process the situation, I turned to see Scott bounding towards me.
I tried to run, but my body wouldn't respond.
I was frozen in place, paralyzed with fear and confusion.
I watched helplessly as an impending supernatural event began to occur, without any control over it. I couldn't help but think about my incoming death.
Was this the end for me?
"Grrrrrrrr," Scott growled as he approached me.
I fell to the ground, exhausted and unable to think straight.
The blood loss was getting to me, and I knew I had to act fast. Scott came up and licked the blood pouring from my hand, and as I tried to pull it away, he held my hands in place.
"Get off!" I shouted, trying to push him away.
But he wouldn't budge.
His eyes had turned from red to a sharper, darker shade of red, and he arched his back as if in an ecstatic state.
I saw my chance to escape and tried to stand up, but before I could, Scott lunged forward and bit straight into my leg.
The pain was excruciating, and I screamed in agony. I felt his teeth sink deep into my flesh, tearing through muscle and sinew.
Blood gushed from my wound, staining the ground around me a deep shade of red. I tried to fight back, but I was no match for his strength.
I felt his grip tighten around my leg, and I knew that I was in serious trouble.
As the world around me began to blur, and my consciousness started to fade, I realized that I had made a fatal mistake - I had underestimated the power of the bite.
…
(3rd person)
Right as Scott had his fill of Mathews blood, he woke up in confusion, to see blood everywhere. As he looked down to see his entire shirt, hands and even mouth filled with blood he was confused.
He didn't know what had happened.
He quickly pulled his phone out as he called Stiles.
"What is it? Did you change Malia?" He asked from the other side of the phone call.
"Stiles, Stiles, where are you?" Scott asked in a panicked voice.
"Near the edge of the forest, why?"
"I think I killed someone!"
..
"I need a medic!" I heard a loud screaming sound, which caused me to wake up.
As I opened my blurry eyes, I saw a familiar figure with her hair flowing down her shoulders as she looked at me.
"You know if you wanted some me time, all you needed to do was ask." Scottie said as she looked at me.
"You stole Harveys line." I replied, as I stood up and took the bottle of water Scottie handed to me.
"You've been asleep for 2 days." Scottie revealed as I sat straight, inspecting my new body.
My muscles bulged, and I could feel myself being stronger.
"Why are you here Scottie?" I asked.
"I was in the state for some business and Donna knew, then we found out you fainted so they asked me to check up on you. They are swamped right now with Hardman." Scottie revealed.
Then she stood up as she said, "We heard a friend of yours found you fainted in the woods?"
"Fainted?" I asked, as I quickly checked my hand and legs to see no wounds whatsoever.
"Yeah, doctors said you haven't been getting enough sleep."
"That's fair enough." I told her as she nodded at me with a slight smile on her face.
She came up to me and kissed me on the cheeks as she continued," Mathew, take care of yourself. Also, nobody recognised you so don't worry."
Then she smiled and left the room, probably to go back to London.
"Meow." I heard a cat, as I turned to see Archer, sitting on a chair, the opposite side of where Scottie was.
"Come here buddy." I told him, to which he jumped and landed on the bed.
He then moved to my arm, which was supposed to have a cut and started to lick it slightly.
I petted him a little as I gathered my thoughts on what had happened.
If I had been out for 2 days, the next episode must have already been completed, and Kira is finding out about her powers and getting acquainted with the main cast.
Probably breaking into the evidence room.
I then heard a knock on my door, as Mellisa Mcall walked into my room.
"Augustine, how are you?" She asked as she entered the room.
Archer was a little startled, so he quickly hid behind my neck.
"Energized yet tired." I told her honestly.
"That's a normal reaction. You slept for quite a while." She said.
"You have a visitor. Technically visiting hours are still open so if you want you can meet him. He's your history teacher, I believe his wife is also here to pass you some food." She informed me.
"Sure, let him in." I told her, as I pulled Archer from behind my neck.
He meowed in disapproval, but then when I put him inside of my shirt he quickly calmed down.
As Archer got comfortable in my shirt, Mr Nakamura and Mrs Nakamura, Noshiko walked in.
As she walked in, I could feel the aura inside of my room change, as she closed the door, and her eyes glowed slightly.
Usually, I would be terrified by this development, however for some reason my mind was extremely rational. No dreaded thoughts had appeared inside of my head as I stared at her eyes and did not break eye contact.
"Not even remotely surprised." Mr Nakamura said.
"Well, that's to be expected of a Cherubim, albeit one with an extremely watered down bloodline." Noshiko said, as she walked closer to me, and put the food she brought in a container beside me.
A Cherubim, I had no idea what that was, since it was never shown in the show.
"That isn't the only thing, is it?" Mr Nakamura asked, as he looked at me with a curious glance.
"And you knew?" Mr Nakamura asked me.
"I knew I was supernatural." I admitted. No point in lying to a Celestial Kitsune. "I was attracted here by a strange feeling, and before I fainted I saw this tree stump."
"You found the Nemeton?" Noshiko asked me in surprise.
"Is that what its called?" I asked back.
"Anyways you are right, husband." Noshiko turned to Mr Nakamura and spoke. "He definitely isn't a pure-blooded Cherubim, or even a halfblood for that matter. They have innate control over their abilities."
"Right." Mr Nakamura said, as he then asked me, "Bitten by a werewolf recently?"
"The last thing I remember was an image inside of a fog telling me to get bite, and then a man who looked like a wolf biting me." I revealed.
"There's more." Noshiko immediately said. "We are trying to help you here. A Cherubim is not safe in these parts of the world, especially when you don't even know how to control your powers." She told me.
I could sense that she was trying to help me, so I decided to reveal more.
"The one who bit me seemed like Scott Mcall. He had red glowing eyes and he lost control as he bit me."
"Of course an Alpha loses control in the presence of Cherubim blood. He had no training for the Cherubim kind." Mr Nakamura said, not particularly surprised that Scott was an alpha.
"Let alone Mr Mcall. Derek Hale probably doesn't even know what a Cherubim is. I barely do, I have only seen a handful of their kind, and I have lived for 900 years." Noshiko said.
"And that's not all you are."
