Chapter 26: Concert preparation
(Kira POV)
[Me: Yes I do, here it is (Random Number)]
"Why does he want her number? Did he say why?" Lydia asked, as she tried to grab my phone.
"No, and I didn't ask. Why would I need a reason?" I asked back to Lydia, who was turning crazier by the day.
"I just…nevermind." She said as she quickly moved to the side and began to text someone on her phone.
…
(POV Mathew)
[Me: Hey Stacy, Mathew here. Was wondering if you wanted to be part of a study group I'm organizing]
After sending that text, I threw my phone to the side. I was assuming that it would take a while for her to respond.
"MEooooooooooooooooooowwwwww." Archer called out for me as he eventually found me inside of the living room.
As he saw me, he jumped onto the sofa and started rubbing his head onto my leg.
"What do you want?" I asked as he just ignored me, while making himself comfortable on my lap.
"I guess I can get some work done through this." I thought, as I carried Archer with me to my room. There were random periods of time when he would get extremely clingy like now.
So I just brought him with me and began responding to emails from the firm.
However, 1 eventually caught my attention.
"They want me to perform in New York in 2 months?" I thought, as I looked at the email sent from Louis.
"Meow." Archer said as he looked at the screen.
"Now why would I do that?" "Meow." "I know you miss them but I can't rush this decision." "Meow." "That's true…" "Meow." "I get it." "Meow. MEOW!" He said his piece and left my lap with a small shout.
What a sassy cat.
"I am not that broke though." I couldn't help but tell Archer.
He deadpanned at me, an expression which said, 'You spend money like water.'
"Well your not wrong." I thought, my expenses didn't seem to be coming down anytime soon, and most of my projects were long term and I need capital for those.
I want to dabbale in a lot of sectors after all.
"Maybe I should do a couple of concerts during the summer, make it a whole thing."
"Meow."
"Your right I can earn hundreds of millions."
I then decided to respond to Louis emails and also sent Mike some more songs he would need to patent.
After that I just played some games online.
"GOD DAMMIT." I raged while throwing my mouse into the wall, breaking it.
Archer woke up startled and turned towards me.
"I keep getting bots for teammates. Maybe I should just train my own monkeys."
Seeing as it was already 5 Am, I decided to just start my workouts, even though at this point the weights didn't really help me.
My strength was increasing at an insane rate everyday and 'mortal' weights didn't have any impact on me anymore.
"Do I need to start benching mountains or some shit." I thought out loud.
Archer who was hanging around just flopping on the floor deadpanned at me again.
"You're right. Maybe I should start from buildings first."
'That isn't what I said though.' The confused cat thought.
…
As I was driving to school with my now repaired car, I started to check the hundreds of texts I got from the group chat with Scott and his friends.
It was only now I realized what they named themselves.
"What type of name is 'I hate supernaturals." Must be something Stiles named."
I also saw that Lydia got my number from the group chat and texted me a lot of times.
I decided it was probably smart to not open her messages since I didn't need a Yandere in the making.
[Stacy: Sure, I don't mind. I learnt a lot from you. Who else is joining?]
Stacy replied a minute after I sent her the text…forget it I will just ask her in school.
I find texting overrated anyways, especially if you see them everyday.
It should be used for people who can't see each other due to distances.
I'm sure she wouldn't be mad that I didn't reply for a couple of hours…right ?
…
"Rachel. Operation Falcon is a go."
Right after informing Rachel, Louis immediately sprung into action.
He had just read Mathew's email reply and decided to start contacting vendors and drafting contracts.
He had just opened his eyes, checking his emails but he felt more energetic then ever.
As he was about to get out of his bed, he saw a number pop up on his screen, someone who never called him before.
[Best Friend]
Louis waited for about 3 seconds before picking up the phone.
"What do you want Harvey, some of us are really busy."
"Why are you busy Louis? Your wife is here with me right now. Right, forget you aren't married." Harvey dissed from the phone.
"For your information Harvey, not everyone gets married in their 20s, and I don't see you having a wedding ring either."
Harvey paused for a second before replying.
"See that's because I'm too busy with your wife to be seeing someone."
"WHAT DO YOU WANT HARVEY." Louis shouted, getting out of his bed.
"Relax Louis, I'm just kidding. I just wanted to let you know Mathew sent me an email about his concerts as well. He didn't want you to get too excited and make him play just classical music. He wants to do a pop style concert most artists do."
"He asked you? Why would he do that? And what do you mean 'most artists.' He isn't 'most artists,' he is the best classical musician alive, and it is a waste of his…"
Before he could finish however Harvey interrupted him.
"Louis, listen up because I'm only going to say this once. This is what Mathew wants. What the CLIENT wants. Now I gave him my word you would put the personal out of it and help him, can you do that?"
"Harvey but…"
"Louis. We are in a good place right now, I hope you don't make me pull rank on you. This is to go how Mathew wishes, are we clear?"
"Crystal."
"Good, now let's set the stage for him." Harvey said as he cut the call.
Louis, who was gumming right now, didn't know who to take his anger out on.
He then thought about it for a second and smirked.
He decided to vent his frustrations onto the potential vendors Mathew might perform in and get him a perfect deal.
Most concert holding Venus in America felt a shiver that day.
Soon they would also feel the rath of Louis Marlowe Litt.
