Noble Etiquette

(Third POV)

—2 Week Later—

Two week had gone by and everyone went back to their normal lives. Training and studying while having some fun in between. Currently, Leonidas was outside practicing his fire and water magic while using a communication scrolls to talk to Ashton who was also training.

At the moment, Kathlyn was getting taught proper etiquette, so she couldn't use communication scrolls right now.

"It's still shocking to find out you're a tri-element user and that you awakened at 2 years old. How does that even happen?" Ashton said over the scrolltime.

"Meh, I'm lucky I guess. Oh yeah, when did you awaken?" Leonidas asked Ashton as he had a fireball in one hand and a water ball in the other.

"Around 3. After that I was just training nonstop."

"Yeah, me too. After I awakened and turned 3 I was just training and studying basic things. I'm supposed to be getting a teacher next year." Leonidas informed him.

Ashton was sitting in a room that had ice on the walls, floor and ceiling making the place extremely cold, but the Ice Folk had a natural resistance to the cold and so he was using it to train. He was practicing by making balls of ice float around him.

Currently he can do three while he's talking with Leonidas and five when he's in peace and quiet. Leonidas was trying to get down the concept of using two elements at the same time. It relied a lot on visualization and focus, so it was hard to accomplish.

His mind hasn't developed enough to think of two things simultaneously. He can process and understand things faster, but that's it for now. He needed to meditate more.

"Ashton, It's time for you to get ready!!" Mia yelled.

"I guess you gotta go."

"Yeah, I'll call you back in an hour or two." He said. Leonidas nodded and closed the scroll and continued his training.

Valor, Glailand Kingdom

Royal Castle

"Why can't I worry about stuff like this later?" Ashton sighed as he put on an outfit consisting of a white button up shirt, tucked into some royal blue pants along with a royal blue blazer and white dress shoes and a necktie the same color as his blazer.

He was a part of the royal family and so he had to do royal family things. This particular one being marriage applications. He left his room and walked down the hall into the main room where he would be looking at the applications.

His family was there with him as he sat on the couch. Not only would he have to do this, he'd have to go out to pick out what type of beast core he wants.

"Why can't I just worry about marriage when I'm older?" He asked his mother.

"When you're older you'll have too much on your plate to worry about anything." Mia said.

"Ehh, then how am I supposed to love somebody if I'll be too busy?"

"You'll know when you find your own lover." She replied. Ashton sighed as he looked at the stack of papers before him. He picked up one and started reading it as he sighed heavily.

—3 Weeks Later—

Leonhart Estate

Sitting in the living room of the Leonhart mansion were Leonidas's parents along with Blain and Priscilla. They all had a saddened look on their faces as Blain spoke.

"As we said over the scrolls, we noticed that Kathlyn has been coming home looking sad lately. We know as a princess that people will try to get close to her and bother her, but we didn't think it would be like this." He said.

"Why don't you just homeschool her and what about Curtis?" Diana asked.

"Curtis is in a different course than her and can't be with her all the time. He's in a different year than her so they can only be together at lunch and during table etiquette." Priscilla answered.

"I see. Is there a way we can help?" Fredrick asked.

"There is actually. I was wondering if you could enroll Leonidas there. Since they're both first years and will start at the basic level they'll be in the same hall and have mostly the same classes. I'd like for him to watch her so she doesn't get lonely or you know, annoyed." Blain suggested.

"I see. Of course we can and I'm sure he'll like to as well." Mia said.

"Thank you." Blain said with a slight bow.

"It's alright. After all, I'm sure if Leonidas found out he'd just sign himself up." Diana said.

The boy in question was out back with his brother training in swordsmanship. His body was strong enough to be compared to his brother and they were reinforcing their bodies and swords with mana.

Oliver swung his sword horizontally as Leonidas ducked. He jumped upward with his sword following, but Oliver moved his head to the tight. Seeing that he had an opening, Oliver grabbed his brother's leg as he was midair and threw him back.

He then dashed forward with his body low. Leonidas was able to dig his feet into the ground as he put his sword up to block. The two collided and sent out a shockwave that blew the rocks away. Leonidas was sliding back as they clashed.

Oliver pushed back and prepared for a diagonal slash. Leonidas's eyes sharpened as he put his sword up and tilted it downward, letting Oliver's sword slide down. He then spun his body to the right and stopped it just before Oliver's neck.

"It's your win." Oliver said as he laughed sheepishly. His body was covered with sweat and his hair was disheveled.

"I guess that makes us tied 10-10." Leonidas replied as he put his sword to the ground and leaned on it. He sighed in relief as he wiped sweat from his forehead.

"Guess so." Oliver responded.

"Leo, we'd like to talk to you for a minute." Said Fredrick as he and Diana stood at the back door.

"Yeah, I'm on the way." He said as he put his sword on the rack and grabbed his towel.

—One Explanation Later—

"So we wanted to know if you were okay with getting enrolled into the noble school of etiquette?" Diana asked.

"Of course. To think that people would do that to their own princess is crazy. For people that are supposed to be adults, how could they think so narrow minded?" Leonidas complained.

"Adults?"

"Yeah, there's no way the kids themselves thought of faking to be friends with the princess for benefits. Their parents had to coerce them into it." He explained.

"I see. Regardless, the king said he's very grateful that you chose to enroll." Fredrick said.

"It's all good. After all, she's my friend." He said with a small smile.

Afterwards they left him to his training as he went back to meditating. He was trying to use the technique where he could move and absorb mana at the same time. Although he did this privately since if he had to teach others how to fo it while he hadn't mastered it, he would have less time to practice himself.

In his room, he stood there with his eyes closed as mana was steadily flowing into his body. He had been practicing this for two weeks and at most he can do slow movement with steady breathing.

Although this was hard, doing this, exercising, and his normal training contributed to both his mind and body, so soon he would be able to think of two things at once with no problem.

Sometimes later in the day he went with his family to get himself enrolled into the school. He started tomorrow and was given a uniform on the spot. His schedule was made so that it would match Kathlyn's besides the classes for girls specifically.

For the rest of that day he practiced and went to sleep early so that he could wake up and be ready for tomorrow.

—Next Day—

Standing in the mirror Leonidas fixed his blazer and rolled up his sleeves. He wore a white short sleeve button up shirt under a black blazer with white lining. He had a bowtie that was cyan, black and white that came with the uniform.

Along with that he wore black pants and black dress shoes. His blazer was closed and fit him perfectly.

Although he liked how the uniform looked, he just didn't go with it. His yellow eyes and tanned skin made the uniform look tacky, but he didn't complain. He left his room after putting his golden storage ring on his thumb.

He walked into the main room and was welcomed by his mother, father and brother who had gathered to send him off. He was being homeschooled all this time and so they didn't think they'd have to do this.

"Have a good day at school and don't forget to check up on Kathlyn." Diana said.

"We know you don't need it, but bear with it for a few years." Fredrick added.

"I know. I'll see you all in a few hours. He said as he gave his brother a fist bump. He then left the door and got into the carriage that was waiting for him.

After just 20 minutes of a ride he was let out right at the front gates. He got out and people were looking at him as they whispered and what not. He looked around and saw that Kathlyn still wasn't there yet and so he went over to a bench and sat there.

He took out a book he had on wind magic and began reading.
