- Encounter with the Bloody Dawn

Gus woke up alone on a foreign world, surrounded by the ruins of the destroyed shuttle and by the corpses of those who had been around him.

His body aching, he unbuckled himself from the seat and allowed him to fall from the part of the wreck where he had been lodged. Landing on his hands and knees, he took his time to make sure that he was not too injured from the crash before standing.

He had suffered small wounds all over his bodies, both from small bits of metal being thrown around and from his own seat being thrown around, but nothing too severe. Once he was certain that he wasn't carrying a life threatening injury, he slowly pushed himself up to his feet.

Looking around at the ruins, he noticed that the number of bodies that lay scattered within his view was nowhere near the number of people that were in the shuttle. A spark of hope was lit inside him as he noticed this, and he realised that there might be some survivors out there somewhere.
