Forest Beings

Once this was ready, Theo decided to train a little with Bones in using the sword, since he carried the rapier with him, it was better to know how to use it well in case he needed it. He was never an ordinary wizard in games, as he always chose a fighter subclass to protect himself in case of ambushes or attacks that surpassed his group's line of defense.

As a result, he always had the nickname of abnormal wizard among his virtual gaming friends, but it never bothered him, it was more like a class that only he had. Despite knowing that, after his choices were made public, many novice wizards ended up joining this style.

When he was training, he received many XP messages from his skeletons, killing animals, spiders, and the new enemy whose name was revealed.

Forest beings seemed to be a species that was born from the plants and trees of the forest in which they were found. And he did not rule out this idea, as he thought it possible that it was true. Alika had already told him that the elves of her tribe were mostly born from the Tree of Life, which they worshiped as a deity. But for some time, she had already been losing strength and did not create them as frequently as before.

Theo even imagined that this tree could be a military building from a past game, in which the player had possibly gained divinity. And so this allowed him to leave it here, generating the elves, for a long period that was now ending.

He would certainly still go to the elf village to try to get possession of the tree that created elves, if it really was a military building abandoned by its former owner. With this, he could have more military units recruited daily, increasing his strength faster than his opponents.

Of course, this mission wouldn't be done anytime soon, as he would certainly need to fight with the elves so that he would at least have the chance to get close to the tree. And for that, he would need to be much stronger than he was now, so he focused again on his training, and after a few hours, he stopped for lunch. Not long after, he received a level-up notification, thanks to the efforts of his skeletons in killing the spiders and also the forest beings.

This is what Theo's new status screen looked like, his new class appeared after he completed the mission, and now he could see that he was an Apprentice Wizard. This would soon change, as he wanted to become a wizard as soon as possible. Then he could carry out more attacks on different targets by dividing his units between him and Alika who were the camp's mages.

Having a wizard during an attack, especially on other players, would make all the difference, as they were not prepared to face them. Since magic could bypass many types of defenses they might have in their camps, or even destroy them with just a few attacks, leaving units and players defenseless, they could only use their bodies to defend themselves.

Theo was already planning to attack the player near his camp as soon as he contacted the forest beings. He would wait two more days before doing so, following Amethyst's plan to weaken them by killing their hunters in ambushes. He also intended to give the player a chance to become a subordinate instead of a slave if he gave up everything he had and swore loyalty.

Theo had learned from Alika that there was a type of blood oath that one person could make to another, and if the person who made it broke that oath, they would die in indescribable pain. After knowing this, he memorized the words that should be said in case he encountered new subordinates or even a player. He knew it wouldn't be easy to get the player to take the oath, but when faced with death, humans were quickly convinced to do things they wouldn't normally do.

After exercising a little more, he decided that he would rest for the rest of the day so that tomorrow he could go on a hunt with his skeletons to increase their levels. This way, the invasion of the forest beings would be faster. The rest of the day he spent playing with Copper and studying the information that was posted in the chats, there was nothing very new here. But he still discovered that there was a player selling meat from buffaloes that he had killed in the prairie region.

Theo considered buying some for his subordinates, but when he saw the price, he decided against it, he wanted 10 logs or 6 stones in exchange for 1 unit of meat. That might have been why he was mentioned as a swindler, but Theo knew from experience that people who couldn't pay would call him a swindler.

Seeing this, he knew he could do the same with forest animals such as bears, wolves, and even birds. When he questioned Amethyst about the animals, he discovered that there weren't many of them in the area, other than birds, but he also discovered the existence of a species of giant flightless bird.

The first thing Theo thought of was, of course, a chicken, but it was impossible for it to be that, this was an animal from his home planet. He then asked her to send a skeleton to capture some of them and bring them back alive, so that it would work and maybe even get them meat and eggs that they could sell.

After that, night came and went, and when dawn came, Theo did his ritual and got 2 skeleton warriors, this new day he spent hunting with his new skeletons that would specialize in combat and would not go near the axes. At the end of the day, Amethyst took him to see the birds, and as he imagined, they were not chickens, but a similar version of the animal. That he then decided to try to raise some for a while to see if they would give eggs, otherwise he would hunt them to obtain meat.

A new day was born then, and the units recruited by Theo were two zombies that he tried to take to a mine to help the Zombie Miner extract stones and minerals if they were lucky. Just after sending the zombies to the mine, Theo asked Amethyst for a report on how things were in the village of forest beings, and she informed him that they were almost ready to attack the village and mine.

With this in mind, he tried to have his skeletons increase the frequency of surprise attacks on the hunters leaving the village, so after noon he received a report saying they were ready to attack. Theo planned for his skeletons to attack everyone at the same time, so that there was no chance of anyone escaping. He also tried to have them search for the village and attack his signal.

This is how a village of forest beings was set on fire and exterminated after being surrounded and attacked by a group of skeletons, as well as two wizards and a were bear who served as a Tank. Because he had a lot of health and didn't mind taking a few hits to protect the mages behind him. With that and the majority of his warriors killed in ambushes, the forest beings had no way of resisting being exterminated.

When Theo tried to get Alika to use fire spells to burn everything, he had already sent Amethyst to find out whether there were prisoners and after a negative response from her, he then gave an order. Using some wind spells, he increased the fire, causing much more damage than the spells would normally do without any help.

After the attack, all that was left were the charred bodies of forest beings and rubble from the houses and wooden buildings that formed the village. Which was another reason why Theo ordered fire spells to be used, as fire was a great fuel. When he started collecting the rewards from the rest of the bodies, he got a lot of energy stones, almost 2 per body with a few approaches. He also asked his skeletons to bring the bodies of those who were killed in the ambushes that they had left in a nearby place to make it easier for Theo to collect them all together.
