Part 45

Justen's POV

I had been crying in Josh's shoulder for a while before I finally regained myself.

"Are you okay now?" Josh asked, looking at me with worry in his eyes.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Good," Josh said.

"So, what now?" I asked.

"Well, I was thinking we could cuddle and watch movies," Josh said.

"Not here. Hospital movies suck," I said.

"I've got movies on my phone," Josh said.

"That sounds like a plan to me," I said.

Josh grabbed his phone out of his pocket and climbed into the small hospital bed with me. We cuddled close as Josh unlocked his phone and went to his movie app.

"What movie do you want to watch?" Josh asked.

"Got any Spiderman movies?" I asked.

"Yeah, Michael loves those movies," Josh said. "I have to warn you though, it's the new Spiderman."

"I don't mind," I smiled as Josh found a movie and clicked on it.

About halfway through the movie, my dad came back with food.

"How have you boys been?" my dad asked.

"Doing good, sir," Josh said, pausing the movie.

"What'd you get for lunch?" I asked.

"It's actually dinner," my dad said.

"Dinner?" I asked. "How long have I been out?"

"You passed out at about five and it's almost eight now, so you've been out for about two hours," my dad said.

"Two hours?" I asked.

"Yeah, and during those two hours all I could do was wait," Josh said. "Until you woke up and I was able to see you of course."

"And you've been awake for about an hour now," my dad said.

"Damn," I said.

"Anyway, I brought you boys food," my dad said, placing the food on the table.

"What'd you get?" I asked.

"Burger King," my dad said.

"Sweet!" I cheered.

"Thank you," Josh said.

"I didn't know what you boys would like so I got you both chicken nuggets," my dad said.

"Thank you!" Josh and I said in unison.

"I only got Justen six nuggets though because he can't eat much right now, but Josh, you got all ten nuggets," my dad said.

"Thank you so much," I said as my dad handed me and Josh our food.

"And as for drinks, I didn't know what you'd want so I got Josh a normal Coke and you a water," my dad said to me.

I groaned.

"Water is probably all you can drink right now until those pills go through your system," Josh said, poking my stomach.

"Yeah, okay," I said, lightly laughing.

"Alright you two, enough flirting," my dad said.

"You're okay with this now?" Josh said.

"What do you mean?" my dad asked.

"Last time me and Justen were together you were mad," Josh said. "I just want to make sure you are okay with this."

"I'm okay with it," my dad said. "I have never seen Justen look at anyone the way he looks at you and he really loves you."

Josh and I smiled at my dad.

At first, it was kind of weird seeing him change, but now that I see him being different, I couldn't imagine him the way he used to be. I think I am relearning how to love my own dad.

"You still there?" Josh asked.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Good, now eat up so we can watch the movie again," Josh said smiling.
