Wrapping up the first game.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"What the hell is that scream?" A woman asks, walking through the forest, her clothes bloodied.

"How would i know?" A man answers, a bit annoyed.

"Probably someone being killed right?" Another woman responds.

"But it's been going on for like 15 minutes... Should we check it out?" The first woman asks.

"It could be someone injured... Easy kill." They all smile at the mans words.

"Sounds good!"

"Yeah, I'm up for it."

"Nice! Then let's go!"

The first woman says, pulling out a cigarette out of her inventory and lighting it.

"Why the hell would you spend your Sp on cigarettes anyway... Give me one."

"Buy your own, bitch!"

"Huh! The fuck you callin' bitch, bitch?!"

"You, bitch!"

"Hey!" The man says, causing both of the women to keep quiet, though reluctantly.

As they walk the screaming gets louder and louder.

"Damn... Is that even a human screaming?" The second woman asks.

"Watch out, There might be other people coming here for the kill too." The man says ignoring the question.

"Right."

"Right."

...

...

...

"What the hell... Is that?" The first woman drops the cigarette out of her mouth as she looks at David.

"..."

"..."

"I-Is that... H-Human?" She asks again.

"Let's get out of here." The man answers.

"Y-Yeah..."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

David continues screaming, unaware that he is being seen.

'H-How... H-How l-long?' He manages to ask.

[You'll be done with the transformation soon. The pain will continue for quite some time after.]

'O-Oh...'

[Don't pass out.]

'...'

[David?]

'...?'

[Don't pass out.]

'Y-Yeah...'

After another minute his vocal chords give out and all that comes out of his mouth is a hoarse, hazy, nasaly breath.

[Now's the time David. Get up.]

He struggles to drag himself forward, trying to dig his fingers in to the dirt but failing and bites in under the deceased mans armpit to drain as much blood as he can. The blood moves through the newly created holes in his canines and flow into his throat and then into his stomach.

[Good job David. It's not over yet though.]

[Climb up a tree and lay down on a branch, then you can let yourself rest.]

"Nnnnh... Ghga"

He tries to open his eyes and look at his own body. he barely gets them opened and sees his hands, no skin covering them, the veins openly pulsing.

'W-What...?'

[Don't think about it.]

[Get up and climb a tree. There is one right in front of you OK?]

He shuts his eyes again, the burning sensation forcing them closed. He gets on all fours and crawls slowly towards the tree. He can feel something hit his hand as he is moving forward.

"NNnnnnh..."

[That's the tree. Just let your muscle memory take control and start climbing.]

'NNNnnnn...'

He climbs, his tattered body creaking under his own weight, for what feels like forever before the voice speaks to him again.

[Alright, There is a good branch on the other side of the tree. just move your hands around until you can feel it.]

He does as the voice says and finds the branch. He moves his body over to it and lays himself on top of it, resting his body.

'I-It hurts...' [That's alright David, just go to sleep and-]

'I-It hurts so much...!' [Ok David.]

'How the fuck do I deal with this?' the voice thinks to itself.

'I've never been good at comforting participants...'

'Please kill me...' David begs, thinking his last thought before exhaustion takes over and he falls unconscious.

...

...

...

"Hugh!"

*Gasp!*

He wakes up and looks at himself. He sees his body laying, covered in black armor.

'...Oh...'

Disappointment fills him as realizes that the last day wasn't just a dream. His body feels sticky everywhere and he tries to move his right arm a little but he finds he can only move his fingers, slightly.

[Good morning partner.]

'Good morning.' 'Wait... Partner?'

[Yes. Partner. I've decided that you are worthy to be my partner, considering what we've been through.]

'Oh, thank you... What does that mean though?'

[It means that i will stay with you forever.]

'...'

[...]

'...'

[Being my partner means that I am primarily on your side at all times, Even if "It" doesn't approve.]

'...'

'Why me...' Feelings of anxiety poke at his insecurities.

[Why are you saying that like it's something bad?!]

'N-No! I just don't know what to say!'

[Listen.] [I have decided that it's better to stick with you than to keep working under "It", alright?]

[I trust that you will become better and stronger than you are now.] [All it will take is some time.] [You've already proven yourself to me!]

David can feel tears welling up in his eyes, a feeling of accomplishment and gratitude not felt in years being created.

'...Thank you.' He responds, some stress leaving his body with the words.

'What should i do?'

[Tell me if you accept or not. As long as you accept i will contract our souls to be bound together in perpetuity for the rest of time, in accordance to the will of the supreme being.]

'...'

He lays in silence for about two minutes before deciding.

'I accept. I would've been dead long ago if it wasn't for you. If I'm given the opportunity to pay it back I would accept it every time.'

[...Thank you David.]

As David finishes the words he feels a tugging and a cooling sensation... somewhere. He can't quite pinpoint where it is.

...

...

...

[It's done.]

'Ok... What now?'

[Have a look at how much time is remaining on the game.]

'How do I do that?'

[Say "Time!" out loud]

"Time!"

[Time remaining until end of game: 03h 28m.]

'I think my jaw is healed!'

[It sure is! The transformation not only destroyed, but also rebuilt your body from the ground up, like with the "Troll's body", except even more thorough.]

[Have a look at your status.]

"Status!"
