Battle approaches!

David carries Tommy back to the ship as Jingfei leads the way with a torch.

''...''

They don't speak to each other all the way back.

''Huh? It looks like there's light over there!'' Jingfei notices.

David looks over with his enhanced vision.

''Is that... Fire!?''

The group run towards the town that their ship is parked in and look on in horror as people run around in terror, burning bodies lining the streets.

''It seems that we have found our bounty hunter duo...''

A giant, 4 meter tall man walks calmly through the town with a pillar over his shoulder, a wide smile resting on his face.

''I remember that face!'' Jingfei calls out.

''That's Urouge!''

''Urouge? Who's that?'' David asks.

''He's one of the worst generation... Like Luffy.'' She answers with a serious face.

''...Is he strong?''

''I would think so...'' Jingfei responds.

''Hey! How dare you bind the great me up!? Prepare to be punished!'' Mizaki, who has presumably been freed by Urouge calls out.

''Seriously...?''

'...!'

David's danger sense goes off. He looks around for any potential threat and sees a figure standing on top of a nearby roof.

'Is that... A monkey!?' He thinks to himself, confused.

''That's!'' Jingfei quickly buys two earplugs and puts them in her ears.

*Boom!*

An explosion goes off just besides David's head.

A few seconds pass before pain starts rushing up his face and his ears start ringing. He can see Jingfei holding up Urouge's pillar with the giant sword they got from that captain earlier and shouting something at him.

*Boom!*

*Boom!!*

Two more explosions hit him and he almost loses consciousness before getting a grip. He pulls Alvida's club out of his inventory and swings it at the pillar, causing it to fall down to the ground besides them.

Jingfei quickly jumps over David's head, pulling of his helmet and putting two earplugs in his ears before landing behind him.

He doesn't question her decision and looks at her for guidance.

She mouths to him.

'I'll take care of the other one!'

He nods and turns around to face Urouge.

*Fwoosh!*

The pillar crashes down at him from above. He puts the mace over his head to defend.

''Hnng!''

He desperately tries to hold up the pillar but is slowly being pushed downwards.

*Mumble!*

Mizaki screams out something and then comes running towards him, prepared to attack.

David pushes the pillar to his side with great effort and lets it fall.

*Crash!*

Mizaki throws out a seemingly unending amount of stabs with his iron rod towards David.

David grabs the rod from the side to hold Mizaki still and delivers a backwards roundhouse kick, hitting Mizaki's jaw with his heel.

Mizaki flies backwards, losing consciousness.

A giant fist flies towards David's stomach.

He doesn't have the time to dodge thanks to Mizaki so he puts his hands up and prepares to recieve the blow.

*Pow!*

*Crack!*

David flies backwards into a nearby house, crashing into the house's burning living room.

''Agh!''

He feels a pain in his left arm.

'It's broken...!' He thinks to himself before getting back up on his feet.

'...!'

He narrowly dodges the pillar flying towards him as he is getting up and pulls Mizaki's old rod out of his inventory, preparing for a fight.

*Crash!*

Urouge follows closely behind his pillar, throwing another punch as soon as he sees that the pillar has missed it's target.

David dodges the fist and delivers a two-armed stab to Urouge's solar plexus.

''Pah!''

The man loses all air in his lungs and is temporarily stunned.

David takes advantage of the situation and proceeds to slam the rod into the side of Urouge's face,

sending him flying through the stairs leading up to the bedrooms and into the small kitchen.

Urouge lands on his feet, his physical stature not allowing him to stand straight in the room.

David rushes after him, preparing another blow.

Urouge grabs the sink and pulls the entire row of shelves out of its sockets and slams it towards David.

David allows the shelves to hit him in exchange for slamming his rod right into Urouge's face, smashing his nose to bits.

The shelves slam into David's chest, breaking some of his ribs and launching him into another wall.

Urouge flies through the kitchen into an alleyway between two houses.

The two men look at each other for a second before Urouge runs off through the alley.

'Smiling bastard!' David thinks to himself before running after him, not noticing a cheeky smile forming on his own face.

Urouge runs into the backyard of the house and retrieves his pillar.

He turns around to face David and the two men stop and look at each other once again.

''Ha! Ha! Ha! Who would've expected that I would find an opponent so great already on the blue sea! Truly a fine day! Ha! Ha! Ha!''

''...?'' David looks at the man in confusion, not hearing a word of what Urouge just said.

'Well, whatever. If he wants to stand and make himself vulnerable then I am more than eager to comply!'

David throws the iron rod towards Urouge with an Olympians technique.

Urouge swiftly dodges the rod and jumps back.

'Bad move...' David thinks to himself, opening up his inventory.

He starts pulling all manner of weapons out of his inventory, from axe to sword to halberd to knife and throws them at Urouge like a machine gun.

'...!'

Urouge puts the pillar in front of the assault, trying to protect himself.

David keeps throwing and throwing and throwing until there is only the iron mace left in his inventory.

He looks over at Urouge and sees him bloodied and barely standing up.

''Ha! Great!'' Urouge yells out in jubilation.

Suddenly, the man grows to twice his previous size and puts the pillar above his head, preparing to swing it downwards.

'...!'

The pillar comes crashing down with an oppressive force, making alarms go off in David's head.

He looks up at the pillar, smiling maniacally, and pulls the mace out of his inventory.

[You can't be thinking!]

He puts one hand on each end of the mace and prepares to accept the blow.

[David! This is very stupid!]

'That may be true... But!'

'How can I deny a challenge!?'

*CLANG!*

The two weapons collide, causing sparks to fly all over the backyard.

Veins grow on the men's faces as they exert all of their strength to fend off the other.

''Hnnng!''

David's arms grow weaker and he is slowly pushed down. The ground deforms under his feet, forming cracks as he struggles to hold on.

'I guess that's it for this man.' Urouge thinks to himself, saying a quick prayer in his head before trying to push David down for the last time.

'...!' His eyes widen in surprise.

'How is he pushing me back!?'

''GAH!''

David can feel power surging throughout his body, his every cell screaming for victory!

'I...!'

His eyes widen and his body brims with a revitalized aura.

'I! Am! Invincible!!!' He screams to himself in his mind.

''GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!''

He pushes with all his force, using the brute force skill to it's maximum potential.

[David!]

'This kid...! How amazing! What a lovely day!' Urouge thinks to himself slowly losing his grip on the pillar.

*WOOSH!*

The pillar flies out of Urouge's hands and into the sky, landing in some other part of the town.

David swings down his mace with all his force towards Urouge.

Urouge quickly put both his hands above his head to defend.

'Is this... The end?' Urouge thinks to himself.

*CRACK!*

Both his arms break violently and the blow crushes Urouge into the ground with immense force, causing a crater to form underneath him.

After the exchange, David's arms fall down to his sides like wet noodles, every bone turned to dust.

[{Hero's legacy} Level Increased!]

[{Brute force} Level Increased!]

He looks down into the pit and sees Urouge, now back to his original size, passed out and bloodied, laying on his back, still wearing his trademark smile.

A smile forms on David's face and he lets out a small chuckle as the ear plugs fall out of his ears.

'I did it! I really did it!'

*Boom!*

He hears an explosion in the distance, towards the pier.

'Jing!' He thinks to himself and runs to the source of the sound.

He sees Tommy hiding in a pair of bushes and motions for him to come.

As they run along the main road they see Jingfei walking towards them, bleeding from the head, covered in wounds and holding a weird looking ape man over her shoulder's.

''Jing!'' David calls out.

''I'm fine, I'm fine.'' Jingfei responds.

''Never mind me... Those arms of yours look like mashed potatoes...''

''Ha ha ha... I'm glad you're alright...'' David says to Jing with a smile.

Jing blushes a bit before shaking off the embarassment.

''Did you take care of the other guy?'' She asks.

''Yeah, he's over here...''

After the battle Jingfei and Tommy bind up all of the different pirates with rope and seastone shackles and move them to the ship. They then try to get as many people out of the city as they can before it all burns down. David tries to help as much as possible but is unable to do much thanks to the condition of his arms.

Night turns to morning before they finish saving as many people as possible and the whole town goes down in flames.

''No...'' A woman cries out.

''My son...! Please!'' A man cries out as his sons life slowly fades away in front of his eyes.

''I-I'm sorry... There's nothing...'' Tommy says to the man, tears forming in his eyes.

David looks on with a dark expression on his face.

*Pat!*

Jingfei moves over to his side and gives him a pat on the shoulder, looking at him with a reassuring smile, as if to say "Everything will be alright!".

David looks at her and then walks back to the ship with a blank expression, not saying a word.

''...''

Jingfei looks at his back as he walks away, the smile not present anymore.

Throughout the day the group try to help everybody try and find a place to sleep before the night falls.

As the afternoon approaches Jingfei walks into David's quarter's to talk.

'Ah damn... This really hurts..' David thinks as he looks at his bandaged up arms.

*Creak!*

Jingfei walks in and looks at David.

''What should we do with all these people? We can't just leave them here like this can we?'' Jingfei asks David.

David looks into the ceiling and contemplates for a second before answering.

''If they wish...''

''...We'll take them with us.''

''...Huh!?''
