start as a thug in ptj verse (lookisme and Questism…)

Synopsis: An ordinary young man on Earth ended up with no explanation in the PTJ verse. He became a secondary character named Hajun Gu after the latter lost consciousness. What will the new Hajun Gu do in this new world opening up to him? Author's Note: I'm finally deciding to write a story based on the PTJ verse and please, I would like your help to correct any mistakes since English is just my second language. Also, this is my second novel, so I have a bit of experience and also the image used for this fanfic is not mine (if the owner wants it I will remove it)

Chapter 9: I understand myself better and … (1)

Author's Note: I am satisfied with the evolution of the fanfic. If you read my note from the first chapter of this fanfiction, then you understand that its birth is due to a whim.

Fun Fact: I wanted to inflict the protagonist with some minor mental illnesses when I started this work, like an unhealthy obsession with perfection or adrenaline, but I gave up.

===================================

"This is strange," I thought, in front of my computer that I had just turned off due to my current inability to work.

"I can't work with such chaotic thoughts, I need to know why I'm fighting once and for all," I mumbled, staring at my ceiling.

Jaeha Han's behavior during our little fight reminded me of the words Hansu Seong told me during a training session.

.

.

.

Author's POV.

Flashback to the past.

"You're learning extremely fast, I can say that without being wrong," said Hansu Seong with a gentle smile on his lips.

"I think that in one or two weeks, at worst one month, you'll have nothing left to learn from me and you'll only come here to spar," he expressed, shaking his head with a slight melancholy smile, as if remembering something.

"But unfortunately, you'll quickly reach your limits at this pace and believe me, it would be a waste," he said, tapping my shoulders.

"Tell me Hanju, why did you really come to find me?" he said, walking in a circle around me.

"For strength?? Or because you like taekwondo as you claimed? No, I don't think so, there's definitely more," he said, looking me in the eyes.

"I want..." Hanju tried to say but Hansu Seong interrupted him by putting his hand on shoulder .

"Don't tell me anything for now, I can wait for a real and sincere answer from you since unfortunately it's unavailable at the moment," he expressed with a gentle smile.

"But know that you will one day have to find the answer and please, tell me quickly," after uttering these last words for the day's training, Hansu Seong had left, leaving me alone and confused in the dojang.

.

.

.

"Damn, why did Hansu Seong have to tell me all that," said Hanju alone in his room in front of his turned off computer.

He was confused by Hansu Seong's words that day, which is also why Hanju chose to reject it as the words of a "wise old man" from a fictional world.

So he preferred to immerse himself in his daily life as if nothing had happened, but during his fight against Jaehan, he could feel a difference between them.

And this difference allowed Jaeha Han, who didn't really represent a danger to him at first, to suddenly evolve as he humiliated him and to be able to give him a "little" fight.

"Since my reincarnation, I've said I wanted to be rich, at peace and I even wanted to be a random character to be able to live prosperously more easily using AI, but..." Hanju thought, reflecting on his previous actions since his reincarnation.

He could easily say that his personality in his first life as Mikoto Suoh is different from his current one.

"AI, analyze my memory as Mikoto Suoh and Hanju Gu to find a "logical" explanation that pushes me to fight and accomplish certain acts that I currently judge contradictory to my nature," Hanju ordered, determined to confirm his suspicions.

[AI: Launching task...]

[AI: Analysis complete]

This time the analysis was quick since the AI already had all the data on the two lives of the current Hanju Gu.

[AI: This is due to several factors according to my current data]

"Go ahead, explain your opinion to me," I asked calmly. I was relieved that there was an explanation for my situation.

[AI: Affirmative]

[AI: The first and most likely possibility would be that the personalities of Hanju Gu and Mikoto Suoh are now one, which in turn led to major changes in your "nature"]

"A classic scheme in reincarnation fiction stories," I thought, frowning, imagining myself in a similar story I had read in the past to pass time.

[AI: Yes, it's indeed a common tactic used by many isekai authors to justify an ordinary high schooler killing in cold blood in another world]

(Author's Note: Yes I'm guilty and you won't do anything about it lol)

"I understand my behavior better now, but it doesn't explain everything," I said, addressing the AI.

[AI: Indeed, it's not enough to explain some of your initiatives outside of finding Hansu Seong and training by fighting the Gangbuk North, at least normally]

"Stop beating around the bush and be clearer," said Hanju, mentally a little angry at the AI.

[AI: Sorry... And yes, normally you should just be more aggressive because of Hanju's complicated but also lonely past]

[AI: But that's not all. The problem is not just Hanju but Mikoto Suoh. He was an ordinary person indeed, but possessed some inferiority complex and frustrations within himself.]

[AI: Of course, all this was born from his repetitive mundane life and his jealousy towards the success of some close ones.]

[AI: On one side, a high schooler with a complicated life and a child that one could qualify, excuse my language, as "shitty", and on the other side a young unsatisfied employee at the bottom of the social ladder who currently possesses an AI and on top of that a new life in a better body]

[AI: So the combination of two characters of those kinds cannot easily live in a peaceful society]

"So I already had issues in my past life and Hanju's past just brought out something in me that I didn't know about myself?" I thought bitterly, remembering how Mikoto Suoh would smile in public but was dying inside.

[AI: Affirmative]

[AI: And I remind you that Hanju had no real motivation in his life besides surviving, hence the birth of his interest in Suhayeon Kim from the Questism manhwa, which is also a valid explanation for you who is interested not only in him but also the characters of this world]

Hanju was astonished by the information presented to him and the worst part is that instinctively, he knew everything was true.

"Hahaha..." Hanju couldn't help but laugh at the situation.

"I've been stupid all this time," he said, mocking himself and clenching his fist.

"Master Hansu Seong, I now know why I'm fighting," Hanju murmured, feeling a strange but powerful sensation within himself.

[AI: Alert! Alert!]

[AI: I detected an energy source similar to the radiation Suhayeon Kim emitted the other day but coming from you, host].

"I feel... I feel unsatisfied," said Hanju.

He knew he was on the verge of crossing an important milestone or barrier but was just in front of it, incapable of crossing it.

"I need a little push," he said, taking his hoodie and mask similar to Arthur Leywin's.

.

.

.

"Tell me where that idiot Jeong-u Song is," Hanju ordered in an icy voice to a Gangbuk North thug.

"I... I don't know," he said with difficulty because of Hanju's leg on his face, applying more and more pressure.

"You leave me no choice, say goodbye to your leg," he said, removing his leg to get ready to crush his knees.

"WAIT!" yelled another thug on the ground.

"What? You know where he is?" he exclaimed, turning his attention to the person who had interrupted him.

"Yes yes, I know but please stop this massacre," he begged, kneeling in front of him with difficulty.

"You're in no position to ask me anything..." said Hanju, approaching him before leaning towards him.

"Guide me to where he currently resides or else, I think your mother will have to find herself another son," he said with some mockery but to his interlocutor, Hanju seemed more despicable than a demon.

After knocking out all the people on the ground and destroying their phones to avoid any harmful disturbance, Hanju left with his guide towards the location of Jeong-u Song, currently #19 of the Gangbuk North.

And fortunately for Hanju, the location of his target wasn't really far from his geographic situation.

"Thanks for your service," he said before violently punching the idiot in the stomach to knock him out.

"One can never know, he could warn reinforcements," he thought, heading towards the building under construction with a determined gaze readable in his eyes.

Author's Note: Yes Hanju Gu understood now why he fights and why he's so different from Mikoto Suoh "the simple salaryman" 🤣🤣 (who is actually a guy with an inferiority complex and envious of others) and the original Hanju Gu who is disinterested in anything except surviving.

In short, our protagonist will not be a madman who will fight for nothing (I never understood this kind of fanfic )
