start as a thug in ptj verse (lookisme and Questism…)

Synopsis: An ordinary young man on Earth ended up with no explanation in the PTJ verse. He became a secondary character named Hajun Gu after the latter lost consciousness. What will the new Hajun Gu do in this new world opening up to him? Author's Note: I'm finally deciding to write a story based on the PTJ verse and please, I would like your help to correct any mistakes since English is just my second language. Also, this is my second novel, so I have a bit of experience and also the image used for this fanfic is not mine (if the owner wants it I will remove it)

Chapter 10 : I understand myself better and Awakening (2).

Author's Note: I'm happy that this week I was able to reach more than 100 power stones. So thank you very much, you guys are awesome.

Fun Fact: Before writing this fanfic, I had the idea for a fanfic about a guy who obtained Sukuna's power and ended up in Black Clover, but I chose to write this fanfic in the end.

===================================

Author's POV.

In a poorly lit building under construction, there were several men and women doing drugs and drinking various unknown substances.

"Who the hell put trash like this in our dear society?" a voice rang out, sending chills down everyone's spines.

It was as if they were all in front of an apex predator at the top of the food chain and they were just meager prey.

"Who are you?" asked their leader, who turned out to be Jeong-u Song, currently #19 in the Gangbuk North.

Thanks to his intervention and of course his reputation as a former national youth muay thai tournament winner, he was able to easily dissipate the nervousness of those present.

"My identity isn't important. I'm going to destroy you all, and after today your mothers won't even recognize you," he said, clearly conveying his intention to fight.

"Are you crazy?!" a voice yelled out to the figure in a black hoodie and strange mask.

"Are you listening to us?" asked another delinquent, observing Hanju's silence as he began approaching them with steady steps.

"Stop or else..." he didn't have time to finish his sentence before receiving a perfectly executed low kick.

"Ahhh, damn it, this bastard broke it!" he screamed in pain on the ground, but unfortunately for him, his ordeal wasn't over yet.

"Shut up," said Hanju, executing a flawless hammer kick to his face.

There was no more noise in the building under construction. Everyone was nervous because of Hanju's actions, except for one person.

"Tell me, are you the one who recently attacked a number of our guys and even beat Cheonhak Yang?" he said, approaching until he was within arm's reach of Hanju.

The two stared at each other in tense silence. Even idiots like the thugs present could understand that the fight about to take place would determine their future.

"I hope the boss wins. I don't want to end up disfigured like Kang Se-Hoon," thought one delinquent, looking at his friend on the ground.

"I'm asking you a question, right?" repeated Jeong-u Song, frowning as he observed Hanju.

"Doesn't matter, I..." he didn't get to finish expressing himself before receiving a blow aimed at his temple. But how could a professional like Jeong get hit so easily in such a sensitive area?

(Author's Note: Yes I abbreviated his name Jeong-u Song to Jeong and I'm sorry if any Koreans take offense, but understand my action 😣)

Hanju's fist connected with Jeong's forearm, who frowned while staring at him.

Before Jeong could launch an attack, Hanju unleashed a flurry of punches varying between jabs, crosses, hooks and even sometimes uppercuts.

Some of Hanju's blows connected but many were deflected by the forearm or hand and sometimes even blocked by Jeong's knee.

"Are you done?" asked Jeong in a calm voice, as if Hanju's barrage of attacks wasn't that significant.

"Now I understand how you were able to beat Cheonhak Yang, but it's not enough against me," he said, landing a low kick to Hanju's leg that unfortunately managed to connect.

"Grrrr," Hanju could only grit his teeth from the sudden pain but kept his guard up and tried to retreat.

"Bad idea," said Jeong, swinging his leg in a circular motion against Hanju's thigh, throwing him off balance. And as expected from a former champion, Jeong capitalized on this moment to launch an uppercut that sent Hanju to the ground.

"It's been a while since I've had a fight like this. A perfect warm-up," said Jeong with a smile on his lips, looking at Hanju on the floor.

Hanju's POV.

"Is this how I'm going to end?" he thought, lying on the ground.

"NO, I REFUSE!" he mentally yelled, getting up despite the pain in his thigh and jaw.

Being beaten and humiliated by a background character and out of the question.

"Even if it's Tom Lee or Gun or Goo, I would never accept defeat" he said mentally with determination.

[AI: Alert! Alert! Alert!]

[AI: An energy similar to Suhayeon Kim is being emitted from the host and it's increasing within him.]

[AI: Alert! Alert! Alert!]

[AI: The task of analyzing the radiation emanating from Suhayeon Kim while observing the host is complete, faster than anticipated.]

[AI: Initiating an update...]

[AI: Update successful using known energy.]

[AI: Updating...]

[AI update complete and launching AI and new functions.]

"I...I understand better now," said Hanju, staring at the ceiling of the building under construction as if in a trance.

"Oh! You're standing after taking all that?" said Jeong, surprised to see Hanju get up off the floor and now staring at the ceiling.

"Shut up, asshole. Can't you see I'm thinking?" he said, shaking his head to regain his bearings from the massive amount of strange sensations and information the AI was sending him.

[AI: I was able to update and acquire new abilities thanks to an unknown energy coming from you, and not only that...]

[AI: I was even able to use this energy to enhance your vital functions and physique.]

[AI: In summary, you and I have become better.]

"You insult me even though your fate is in my hands? You're funny," Jeong mocked, heading towards Hanju clearly with the decision to finish him off.

"I told you to shut up, right?" repeated Hanju, walking casually towards Jeong, as if the exchange a minute ago hadn't made him understand the difference between them.

In the end, the two engaged in another exchange of blows which shockingly to all present, Hanju dominated Jeong decisively.

"Is this what sent me to the mat?" he muttered, staring at a panting, injured Jeong with reddened hands and forearms, clearly showing the current difference in strength between the two individuals.

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!" Jeong yelled at his subordinates, who realized their boss was in trouble.

"This is why I'll never really be in a crew," thought Hanju, looking around with clear disdain.

After understanding why he was fighting, Hanju had rejected the path of crews like Daniel Park or Jake Kim.

He wanted to dominate those he had admired reading Lookism and be better than his bosses in his past life, whom he had envied for their lifestyles.

"I'll do like Johan Seong and climb to the top alone," he thought, smashing a thug's jaw with a punch while dodging a bat right after aimed at his head.

After a few minutes, no one was left standing in the building except Hanju and Jeong, who stared at him in terror.

"Shall we wrap this up?" asked Hanju, approaching the petrified Jeong.

"Wait, if you attack me, you'll never sta-" Unfortunately for Jeong, Hanju was tired of talking to him or spending another minute in his company.

He launched a jumping kick to his face to stop him from continuing to bore him, but shockingly Jeong fell unconscious.

"He was just a stepping stone for my future goals. Yes, I must continue getting stronger," he said to no one in particular but reaffirming his objective.

Unknown POV.

"Boss, the intruder from last time came back to the North," a delinquent informed a well-dressed young man.

"Oh, interesting," he said, playing chess with another young man across from him.

"Tell me, is he still present in the Northern district?" he asked, looking away from the chessboard for the first time to stare at the bearer of the news.

"Unfortunately no, he left after knocking out Jeong and his men," he said, sweating.

The young man stayed still, pensive, trying to understand the thought process or objectives of the intruder attacking their territory's men before leaving without explanation.

"I'll ask him myself after capturing him," he thought before letting his lips take on a slight smile.

"From now on, staff below #10 must be in pairs and if you capture the intruder, bring him to me," he decided, as the approach to take in dealing with Hanju.

Author's Note: now , the Gangbuk North is now taking Hanju seriously and he was also able to have an awakening which in turn allowed the AI to undergo an update.

I also want to let you know that soon the protagonist will get involved with other districts 👏🗿.
