Ch 13 - Tutors?

Mumbling from the people involved with seeing what Noah had gone through irrupted in the room.

"The poor child..."

"I can't believe he had gone through all that."

"Was that blurred outman his father? Why would he give his child up?"

"How could such an innocent boy go through all that abuse?"

"Why did the sky shoot down that darkness to kill the villagers?"

"Was the boy chosen by the world?"

"It's a miracle that he survived."

Endless chattering continued until the head military man stomped his foot on the ground. That man was the man who led Noah to the room in the museum.

As soon as he stomped on the ground an echo rang out and it instantly quieted down.

"Everyone leave the room. We will hold a meeting in the base two days from now to discuss what exactly we will make of the events," he said.

As everyone made their way out of the room the man walked over to Noah and gave him a pat on the head.

"Well done! Now, why don't we get you an education?"

1 week later

'Damn, I haven't gotten to rest at all since I came out of that machine,' I said exhausted.

As soon I finished displaying everything on the 3D screen the man took me to a place in the city. It seemed to be my new living place as it was a small room in a large building. I assume it to be like an apartment.

Once we got there the military man introduced himself as Ray.

After I got settled into my new house that was a hundred times better than the village shack, my journey in this world began.

Ray hired a shit ton of tutors to teach me everything from the language and history of the world to politics and proper etiquette.

The politics were second nature to me due to my father's influence back on earth. Yet etiquette was something entirely new. I found it incredibly stupid and useless. Why would I need to act fancy? I don't care about anyone so why would I take time to care about how I act in public?

I absolutely hated the classes but the worse part was learning how to dance. Why the fuck would I, a stone-blooded killer and monster that can use dark magic need to know how to dance?

Even though I showed my hatred for it I always did what I was told because I was finally able to learn the language to communicate. Along with the bonus of history on how kingdoms rose and fell.

Although it had only been a week I was starting to grasp the understanding of the basics of the language. It was similar to English grammar yet the words and spelling were taking longer to comprehend.

After another day of straight learning I flopped down onto my bed, 'Holy, is this tiring! Well, now that I've finished with today's lessons I can begin my magic understandings again.'

I had really came I long way from when I first arrived at the village. My wind magic was on a completely different level. Thanks to Arkin's blessing I had been able to train to new kinds of lengths.

I was just short of mastering the force field. Condensing wind magic was insanely hard as it went against its very nature but I could still make it work. I had molded the shell to encompass my body in a circle but I had to yet form the air to frame it. It was around ninety-three percent complete and being a lot easier as time went on and I understood it better.

I have yet to make my wind magic able to move around as it seems to be a step higher than what I am currently capable of.

However, I can make blades appear all over in the air at an instant as soon as I think about it. They have become much more refined and sharper that I could easily cut through the material that holds my apartment room together.

As for my water magic, it had been coming along nicely. Yet after the blessing from Layla faded away it hindered my learning greatly. I had managed to move water around in front of me. I can easily form a bubble of water that won't break unless I stop focusing on it. And I recently made a breakthrough to be able to move the bubble up, down, left, and right. Although it became somewhat unstable as long as I am careful it would move.

My fire magic was very underdeveloped. I could not even form a flame on my palm. I can only make a flickering torch appear on my fingertip that poorly produces any heat.

I can't burn anything unless I have my hand rest against it for hours. The most I can use fire magic for is lighting up a dark room.

While my earth magic was just pitiful. I could only form an inch (2.5 cm) big rock. I also couldn't even begin to carve it out which was the whole point of earth magic. It is used to form a shell around a mage to protect and deflect any damage they may take. It's similar to my wind force field however the air is supposed to absorb and null the damage instead.

I figured that since I am so close to finishing the wind defense I might as well focus on that rather than improving the elements I have under control.

Dark magic doesn't require me to comprehend anything due to it literally being part of me. So I just need to continuously use it to strengthen its abilities.

However, because I am under constant surveillance if they feel the dread that comes about when using dark magic they will know something is wrong. That's why I can only use my other types of magic.

Plus is don't want to accidentally destroy the whole place in case I lose control even though it's highly unlikely that will happen.

I spend most of the night further improving my wind magic before falling asleep to get at least two hours of rest.

This process of learning the necessities of the world and practicing my magic at night continues for over a year.

My fifth birthday passes just like any other day and a month or so later I can fluently speak the language of course without knowing a lot of the bigger vocabulary that kids my age couldn't learn.

I mastered the needed etiquette to present myself well in society even though I promised myself I wouldn't use it in the future.

And I also learned all about the current world that I am in.

The planet that I was reincarnated on is called Madred. It had two main continents that are on the opposite sides of the world surrounded by wild raging seas that kill more than ninety-nine percent of the people that try to travel them.

The continent that I am on is the western one which is smaller than the eastern one.

Our continent is made up of ten kingdoms and five forces.

The empire which I am currently in rules over seven of the ten kingdoms.

In the south there are two kingdoms that remain independent, they are the Griffin and Sky Sect.

To the East, the Holy Temple rules with their faith and religious cult.

Then the final force being the monsters who reside all over the continent but are predominantly stronger in the north.

"Congratulations boy! You managed to learn everything that the tutors could teach you in just over a year. You are already years ahead of your peers at your age," Ray said smiling.

"Thank you, Sir!" I say truly meaning it. If not for Ray I wouldn't know anything about this world.

"Even though this calls for celebration our time spent together has come to an end. You've really grown on me so if you ever need anything in the future be sure to ask. Although, I'm not your father I hope you saw me as a father figure that at least could prepare you for the beginning of your life."

"Now I made sure to set you up with a good caring family that will adopt you and take care of you till your coming of age at ten where you will learn whether or not you are a mage and can serve the empire. Go on there's a carriage outside waiting," Ray said holding back tears.

"Again thank you for all that you have done for me. I'll be sure to visit you when I get the chance. And just wait I'll become the greatest mage that world has ever seen!" Noah replied while giving a smile before heading out the door.

'FINALLY! I'm done,' I say instantly dropping my smile.

'I couldn't last another day with that emotional man who doesn't match his physique. I got all that I needed out of him with history and language now that he is useless I never need to see him again,' I say as I put my hands behind my head and walk towards the carriage.

'Ah, time to have some fun with this new family that I will be introduced to. I can't wait!' I think to myself as a sadistic smile appears on my face.
