In the middle of the night, Jial was sitting on his bed with his legs crossed. His rifle was sitting against the wall next to his bed while both of his pistols were lying in his lap, ready to be used at a moment's notice. In this type of environment, precautions need to be taken at every moment.
'System. Use the Premium Companion Summon.'
[Confirmed. Summoning companion now.]
A flash of red light appeared in the middle of the room before fading and leaving a figure in its place. The figure wore red robes along with a cape made from armor weave. His face was covered with a red mask Kaleesh helmet. The male also had two blasters on him, one that resembled a shotgun strapped to his waist and another that was a sniper blaster rifle strapped to his back.
[Name: Sidon Ithano
Species: Delphidian
Age: 30 (Static)
Personality: Pragmatic and Sensible
Skills: Diplomacy, Command, Piracy, Intimidation, Sniping
Loyalty: 100 (Due to using the Premium Companion Summon, automatically given a loyalty of 100)]
"Greetings, Boss," Sidon slightly lowered his head in greeting.
"Hey. You able to take up watch for the night? I need to get some rest," Jial was feeling exhausted. He had been up for 3 days and hadn't had the time the rest properly yet.
"Of course, Boss. I'll watch over the room," Sidon had no issues staying up and watching the room. He sat in a chair next to the table before holding his weapon in his hand, ready to take action at a moment's notice.
Jial nodded when he saw that before laying down under the blanket with his pistols by his sides. Before he drifted off to sleep though, he decided to ask the system a few questions.
'System. Explain what loyalty means and the static next to age.'
[Loyalty refers to a companion's allegiance to the host. Loyalty can be increased or decreased through the host's actions if they do not align with the beliefs of the companion.
0: hatred and has become an enemy of the host
1-20: Strong chance of the companion becoming an enemy of the host due to strong differences
21-40: Little loyalty to host. If a chance occurs where the companion shall receive more benefits or has a chance to overthrow the host, they shall take it.
41-60: Common loyalty. Brought together by mutual goals or monetary payment. Will follow orders without issue as long as they do not cross the companion's bottom line or put them in danger
61-80: Strong loyalty. Companions will follow almost all of the host's orders but if the host puts them in danger or crosses their bottom lines, this can decrease.
81-99: True loyalty. Companion has a deep respect and admiration for the host. Will follow host into dangerous situations without question. Decreases only if the host betrays them.
100: Absolute loyalty. Companion has complete and utter loyalty to the host. They will take their own life if the host requests it without question. Their only goal is to help the host succeed on their own. ]
[Static age is due to the host's lifespan. Due to the long lifespan that the hosts possess, companions will no longer age once they reach 100 Loyalty unless they are juveniles. In which case, they shall age until they reach their racial maturity.]
'I see. That makes it easier on me then. I won't have to constantly replace companions or worry about them getting weaker with age.'
With a loyal companion by his side, he didn't feel pressured to sleep lightly. Jial, with his worries lessened and gaining a more thorough understanding of the system, was able to close his eyes and get a few hours of rest.
The next morning, Jial woke up thanks to a knocking on the door. Sidon was already standing with his smaller rifle pointed at the door, looking over to Jial to get confirmation. The Feeorin nodded at his companion while he stayed on the bed with his 2 pistols ready for action. Sidon slightly opened the door which revealed a familiar purple face.
Ac looked slightly confused when he saw a Kaleesh standing at the door.
"Apologies, friend. I was looking for a Feeorin that I met yesterday and the owner told me he was staying in this room," Ac apologized promptly. He had come at a slightly early hour but was hoping to catch Jial before he had to head out.
"I am in here. Sidon, let him in," Jial called out from behind the door.
Sidon nodded before he opened the door and stood to the side of the room. Ac nodded at the man before turning to Jial.
"Nice to see you again, my friend. I was luckily able to retrieve the body without too much damage to it. But enough about me. I'm glad you were able to find another crew member so fast," Ac complimented while observing Sidon from the corner of his eye. He figured that he was not Kaleesh from his body's structure but he had not seen or heard of anyone like Sidon arriving in the town. That meant that he had to have snuck into Wyne.
"Hmm. An old friend of mine who was apparently also on the planet. He went through a similar experience as me and lost his crew and ship so we planned to partner together on this planet for a bit," Jial had already come up with several explanations that he could give and this was the best. Sidon's appearance was too sudden to try and explain it any other way.
"Always good to have friends. I came for a reason though," Ac sat down in a chair while looking at Jial's mask. "I saw the battlefield. Those shots at the Kusak were precise. Not a single wasted blaster bolt. You also seem light on cash. Do you have any interest in working for the Black Sun?"
