Chapter 131: Halthor Sector Campaign Episode VIII

(3rd Person: POV)

"Wakey wakey." An unknown voice whispered to Blolkic Jcebi.

The moment this happened the Rodian's eyes snapped open and he began reaching for the blaster he kept on his nightstand, and got ready to call for his guards.

Only to stop both actions instantly.

Why you ask?

Simple.

Because Van was standing over Jcebi, an M45 shotgun held in his hands and aimed right at the Rodian's face.

"Who the hell-ack!" Jcebi cried.

For before he could finish asking Van his question he smacked the Rodian across the left side of his face with the barrel of his M45.

"Don't speak." Van spoke. A cold undertone in his voice.

"You piece of shit do you- Agh!!" Jcebi screamed in agony once more.

As this time when he spoke Van slammed the butt of his M45 into the man's stomach several times.

Before finally stopping and returning to a position where Van was ready to blow a hole in Jcebi's head with just a squeeze of his shotgun's trigger.

"Learn to listen. I said don't speak." Van said. "If you do so again my finger might just slip and I might accidentally blow a hole through your head and end your utterly worthless existence. Now then, nod if you understood what I just said."

Jecbi stared at Van for several seconds before slowly giving him a single nod.

"Good. Seems your hearing isn't broken and is working just fine." Van said.

Which earned him a furious glare from Jcebi.

A glare which Van paid no attention to whatsoever.

"So, you are probably wondering who I am. Well I'll tell you. I am your reckoning Blolkic Jcebi. Here to pass judgement on you for all the atrocities you've committed against the people of Halthor and anyone else over the years. Though before I do, do you have anything to say in your defense?"

"When my guards get here and restrain you I'm going to take my time breaking you. And I'll savior every-"

*Boom!*

Before Jcebi could say anything more Van pulled the trigger of his M45 and blew a hole right in the Rodian's head.

Since he got tired of hearing the man talk.

Turning away from Jcebi's still warm corpse Van exited the man's private room.

The entrance to said room being guarded by two soldiers under his command.

While the rest he had brought with him to assault Jcebi's fortress compound through the tunnel his subordinates had discovered two days ago were busy securing the safety of the local hostages, dealing with the rest of Jcebi's subordinates, and handling anything else of importance inside of the fortress compound.

As soon as Van exited the room the two soldiers guarding it turned their heads in his direction.

"Everything alright colonel?" The one on the right asked.

"Yes, everything is just fine. Jcebi attempted to go for my weapon so I had no choice but to put him down." Van spoke. Lying as easily as he breathed.

But he could sense from the two soldiers they had no issues with the way he just handled Jcebi.

"Understood sir." The one on the left spoke.

"Right. Then let's go." Van spoke.

The two soldiers nodded at his words.

Once they did so they started walking away from Jcebi's room.

Quickly removing the dead Rodian warlord from their thoughts.

-------------------------------

The following morning after he killed Jcebi Van reported this not only to his soldiers and the rest of the ADF taskforce, but also to the local populace of Halthor.

(ADF: Short for Alliance Defense Force)

This in turn caused any remaining opposition against the ADF ground forces to disappear.

While it caused the civilian populace of Halthor to rejoice in utter happiness and cry tears of joy.

For the man who had been ruining their lives for years was finally dead.

So with that the ADF military campaign on Halthor came to an end.

Shortly thereafter the task force stationed at Halthor received news that the other ADF taskforce's sent to the other former systems of the Ottethan Empire had also completed their objectives of liberating their assigned targets.

So overall the first military campaign of the ADF ended with a resounding success.

Their first of many victories.
